I have done a 28 day water only fast. I was cold the entire time. But I was so much fitter threafter. All mass lost was due to fat loss, which slowed down over time. The massive mass lost during the first 3 days is mostly due to water lost ehich slows down. I measured muscle loss with a fat conten balance and corcumferentusl measurement of my upper arm and found I lost no muscles during that time. Inflammation was gone, hb1ac was back to normal and stayed low so long as I stayed away from sugars and ultra processed foods thereafter. One side benefit I had not expected was that my eye floaters diminished. What a relief! Anyway, longer fasts are highly recommended for their benefits to your longevity.
