I'm not even a presenter or host, but I find these tips so useful for daily life. My personality is about to really shine through at networking events and everyday interactions. Thank you Sharon!

    Wowwww
    I completely loveeeee this video.
    It’s soooo enlightening.
As a red carpet host,I have learnt so many things.
I’ll certainly be doing away with some cliche words and taking your tip having a pack of gum. I’d also be taking your tip on doing sufficient research. I concur to that your intro has to be excellent.
I’d also like to chip in some things.
About being professional, there are different energies for different events.
There are events I’ve worked at where my clients specifically instructed that I ask some questions that normally would never have asked but they wanted for the purpose of publicity.
And some events require you to not be so formal.
Sincerely, anyone who is into hosting that watches this video would know you did an extraordinary job putting this together.

Bukky! I had to read your whole comment twice! Thank you for supporting me.
I absolutely agree that every event requires a specific type of energy and that your organizers may specify questions you must ask and you must obey in order to establish a good relationship with them.
Thank you for recognizing my hard work, Bukky🫂

    This is insight/value packed, Sharon.
    Thank you.
    Please, I have a question,
    - Is it still appropriate to comment on attendances dresses, when the event in question is sort of professional and not anything relating to pageantry?

    • @fiercesharon

I’m so glad you find it so.
In response to your question, compliments never go out of style. It is a guaranteed hack to warm your way into their heart and ease tension.
Your compliment must be genuine and specific however . Instead of saying ‘you look elegant tonight’, you could instead say: ‘your brooch compliments your shoes excellently’.
I believe this will help you
