Exploiting the Prologue for a FREE HORSE, Easy Money, and Fast Leveling | Kingdom Come Starter Guide
#kingdomcomedeliverance
Kingdom come Deliverance really opens up after the prologue when Henry gets a horse and some money in his pocket, but why wait for the prologue to be over to have all the fun? This guide will show how to get a free horse, easy money, and fast leveling during the prologue, before ever waking up at the rattay Mill. This guide doesn't require much in the way of crime but can still help you power level your stealth stat, along side strength, agility, vitality, warfare, and various combat skills.
This walkthrough is reputation friendly as it avoids exploiting the skalitz villagers and instead focuses on a passive cuman army. Playing the missions Run! and Homecoming out of order will allow taking any horse you can ride for yourself and leave a catatonic group of cuman that are powerless against Henry. You'll have a huge amount of gear and XP available to you, ensuring the best possible start to your next playthrough!
You can use these strats instead of OR in addition to other early game farms like the Deutsch exploit or general Skalitz farming. This particular guide doesn't ask you to break many laws but you can certainly customize your approach and get the fullest experience possible.

How To Beef Jump In and Out of Skalitz to Become Overpowered | Kingdom Come Deliverance (Prologue)

Using this technique, you can use cheap, plentiful beef to jump over the walls in the Skalitz prologue. This should be a big help. I'm not so much interested in the loot as I am the XP, but being that close to a bed and a few food sources should make grinding out some levels much easier.
@@daveincognito if you just are doing locks, definitely use the water trough instead of the time skip method for a much faster cycle time. You should be able to run from the trough to the ladder in the 5 seconds that'll get Zoro to lock the front door before he disappears. You also won't need to worry about the man in gray, then, as he won't make it back in time to see you picking the front door lock. Happy farming!
Lockpicking is tricky. I'm always afraid of getting spotted, so I tend to avoid the areas that would offer the best experience. That means leaving behind some great loot chests that aren't illegal to break into.
@@daveincognito I have an exploit guide that is basically no risk lockpicking XP farming. If interested, it's the thumbnail with Miller peshek in it(the exploit is next door at the tanner's). Check the pinned comments there for some updates I discovered after video release. Once you're high level, lockpicking is very easy. Make sure you're walking around with 0 noise gear. Low Visibility is less important than 0 noise for thieving since they will investigate trespassing if they hear footsteps. High stealth further reduces your noise and visibility (though it doesn't make those numbers go down). @ level 20 Stealth I can literally jump on a sleeping bandit or guard without waking them up.
12/29/24, I confirm that it works, yes it works. Thank you very much for this great video bro. I already subscribed and pre-ordered the next KCD-2 video and I will follow this channel, hoping to get the best glitches
Thanks, Bud! I'm glad you enjoyed. I'll for sure be looking for and refining the most efficient methods available for KCD 2 once I get my hands on it. We Henrys will thrive in Kuttenberg. 🍻

@@joelledbetter2926 as a console player, I do best to give aid to my fellow console Henrys. I'm sorry if my tips aren't working for you, however. I know early level lockpicking can be very frustrating.
Lock picking just is so terrible on console wtf its easier to pick a lock in real life no joke
@@joelledbetter2926 certainly it's very finicky before "lasting lockpicks" perk is unlocked at level 3. I've only ever used console for KCD so I've only ever used controller. @ hmm I’m yet to complete my merciful playthrough and I only killed runt with a bow headshot, and I see this in my statistics.
@adrianreid4926 interesting. Well, I was using a bludgeon and could have gotten headcracker,I suppose. Either way, you're allowed to kill runt. I didn't intentionally "not kill him" but it's possible I only knocked him out and that could be why. The wiki suggests it "may or may not" reflect on one's stats

Did you try equipping better shoes on Olena before she disappears? Perhaps that can counteract the speed loss.
@@Ausf that's a really fascinating question! I will test it, for sure. I fear it won't matter any more than removing the tack beforehand did but since it's a different tack slot and is adding to instead of emptying a slot, I suppose there's a chance. Definitely worth a try since, theoretically, that would mean a double shoe bonus (the invisible one from olena and the physical one added to the new horse). That opens the door to horse armor double buffs as well so it'd be sweet if it worked out. I'll replace her plain saddle with a noble one as well in hopes that the loss is reduced from that slot.
@@TrialBySquire I'm not sure when the buff is applied from tack, but if it's before you even get the horse, it might be possible to mod their tack, or change the stats of the horse you want. Either way, it's great that you can have any horse you can ride, including horses you didn't have access to, even with Cheat mod. I don't have the game installed to test, but it would be great if you could have Capon's horse, and then you could presumably have a caparison without the mane sticking out. I know there's a mod that removes all manes, but I prefer normal horses to have them.
I just finished a test. For convenience, I just used what I had easy access to. Before reaching Talmberg I equipped olena with noble saddle (4 bags), Calvary bridle, and travel horseshoes. This should have reduced the saddle debuff to only -1 speed and the travel shoes would give a percentage boost to speed (olena was at 38 speed before turning in, up from 30). This produced no change to Jenda after the cutscene. Bummer. Still 35 speed with no tack applied (also no tack transferred to jendas inventory). It was a cool theory and I'm glad you brought it up. This was done on Xbox and I used no mods. I would think on PC there's probably a file somewhere that details olena's tack. In that case, it may be possible to give olena no saddle and military horseshoes (could do bridles and armor but those reduce speed). In that instance, I'd be interested to see if the buff/debuffs are consistent with the new tack or the original.
@@TrialBySquire Thanks for testing. I don't know how to create mods myself, but I have seen mods that alter horse stats, so I definitely think it should be possible to give Olena shoes, or remove the saddle. Either way, very good find that you can get any horse at all that you can ride.
I too, am a sufferer of “Dumb Thumb”
@@officiallynoname7945 We are many; we are one. 🫂
this is just stupid. all that effort to cheat, is more work than playing it without breaking and exploiting the game.
@@TrialBySquire sure you can have fun, I think this method suck though. I lockpicked every chest in Skalitz had level 5 or 6 lockpicking, left Talmberg with a ton of loot, put it into the Inn chest, and in Rattay stole every armor from the Merchant and sold it back to him after a few days. that's way more profitable, while also leveling up lockpicking, can then steal a horse ride to a Stable and buy one or just do the Hunting Quest with Hans to get a free horse anyway.
I have to agree. This is a rather weird way of playing the game. It breaks immersion and negates any sense in playing any further once you are in Rattay. The whole point of the game is to see Henry grow from a piss-poor villager to a wealthy fighter. What's the point if you simply side-step that completely. The whole thing gets boring after 4 quests if you already have everything.
Oh man, your vids are amazing! Another way to level up in Skalitz is to kill Johanka(yeah lol) so she doesn't break up the fight and beat on poor bastards until you no longer can press the mouse haha

@@helicalgoose Thanks, Bud! It was certainly a process learning the software and there's a lot more to learn but I'm pretty happy with this first step.Definitely better workflow than my last editing machine. I appreciate your encouragement, Sir Goose!
I'm a PC player, so the controller tips don't apply, but the rest of your video is awesome. I want to specifically shout out your tips on archery. Holy cow, XP farming the two pig pens by Ledetchko is amazing. Super fast turnaround. It's something like 184 XP for Bow for both pig pens (12 pigs total), and 72 XP for Hunting (I think?). Plus selling the meat (and liver after I got Hunting Offal perk) got me 1000+ groschen in one day from the merchants. After I tapped them out, haggling for selling free meat to them get 2X reputation. Totally faster XP and groschen earnings than the archery tournaments. (not sure about chumps winnings b/c I haven't competed in one yet)
The pigs really are impressive for XP. Sheep are annoying and cows are tanky. Contests are pretty garbage for XP but I find the money per minute on the standard contests to be very respectable (albeit labor intensive). In Ledetchko, the Tailor and Tanner both restock daily. Moving tailor stock to tanner's chest is an easy 7k+ groschen per day for nearly no effort. Contemplative perk on normal mode makes it stupid easy to fund Pribyslavitz rebuild just from doing that. You can add the blacksmiths stuff twice a week @3k each restock as well. Spend a week moving stock and skipping time in Ledetchko for well over 50k payout! Thank you for the kind words, brother. I'm glad my guide was useful even for PC players! Good shout on the meat. I love switching up the ways I make money and this game has many options.

"The container" Absolute legendary exploit.
@@MrSeekerOfPeace We all contain multitudes, but some also contain several sets of cuman armor and a bunch of expired produce... Thanks for the early engagement, Bud; I'm glad you enjoyed. 🍻
@@TrialBySquireAn easy way to get 3+ good strength is to pick herbs with the leg day perk and Skalitz has plenty of them. Making the fights required for this exploit alot easier.
@MrSeekerOfPeace That's fair! Definitely a reliable method that doesn't risk reputation. I, personally, find leg day a lot of work for payoff, overall. It certainly works although I'd rather fight tournament in Rattay. However, if we're talking Skalitz... You can get to level 3 or 4 strength, without numbskull, just from vanyek training. That last part where you do chain strikes- get him loosely in the corner and then spam stab for like 3+minutes (without using any movement inputs). If you can keep the stabbing up it all counts as only 1 chain strike completed. He will eventually time you out but it's a very nice starting bump that won't get you in trouble. After that, I abuse Kunesh...
First off, comment for the algorithm. Second, thanks for this strat. From my own testing I have found Stealth alone is what governs stealth takedowns, and Strength does not despite what is commonly believed in this community. So this is already sufficient to leave yourself ready to KO anybody after the tutorial if you grind enough.
@@limonbattery I'm glad you found it useful! Stealth is incredibly strong, especially when farmed early game. I'm looking forward to the KCD 2 updates to the mechanics.
You still lose reputation even if all kills are clean. Once you arrive to talmberg, those who you killed get pissed off at you.
@@keksatv2014 I'll double check. I believe I managed to finish the prologue without the loss but I'll run it again. Thanks for letting me know. Did you happen to check your rep right after leaving Skalitz, just before running down to the horse?
@@keksatv2014 I have retested and made it all the way to Rattay with 100 reputation. This method absolutely works but not without perfection in execution. If interested, these are my test methods which did cause me to deviate from the guide somewhat so that I could continuously check my progress: First, I tried the save file from the second "save stun" in the video (the furthest along save I had) and finished taking out the guards. After talking to Theresa, Run! begins and you can see your updated skalitz reputation there. I got a 58... So, I started over at a save just after farming Kunesh for stealth. In fairness, the file I loaded had 15 stealth, not 10, which would make things a little more forgiving (but fine for proof of concept). I then did all the tasks in the story to forge with Father and get Theresa standing there. This way I could save after each kill, talk to Theresa, and check my rep in the next section. I got all but the last takedown with perfect rep first try. The last guy I tried to take when we was at the gate and I ended up with a 97 rep. I reloaded and baited him instead like in the video and that allowed me to keep my 100 rep after Theresa. I then ran to Talmberg- still 100 after arriving. I then finished the prologue and still had 100 rep after waking up at the mill. So it is a working method but there's a chance you lose rep without it being obvious that you were seen, like my last kill with the guard at the far gate. Unfortunately, if you don't do it methodically like I did in the test, you wouldn't know you get a rep decrease until it was too late. Again, thanks for bringing it up. It was worth confirming and I would've unlisted the video had your claim been true, as I don't want to give bad information to the community.
@@TrialBySquire I get -100 rep everytime I do it immediately when "run" quest starts. So perhaps I do something that you do not. Do you kill Mathew, Mathias and Fritz? And Zbishek, Hanz? During the fight I kite johanka away from the fight, return with sword and hit everyone 5x, then johanka starts yelling "What are you doing the catchpole is on it way" and with the aplied bleeding damage they all die within few minutes. So maybe this is the -rep thing?
@keksatv2014 for this guide, the only people I harmed are the guards. Despite them being gone, I'm pretty sure you can still lose reputation with the town by being seen doing bad things. I've never tried to fully kill everyone in town without being seen so I'm unclear if that's even possible but I've taken out a large chunk. I did my absolute best to kill all those in the Talmberg castle unseen but despite my best efforts I lose rep after escaping Talmberg so there might be some targets or scenarios where you take a hit no matter what. With Skalitz, if you're grabbing Johanna seconds after her seeing you then you're still "caught". She knows it's you even with a successful knockout. As far as punching the boys, the other villagers will see that as a crime if they see you, so you'll lose some rep each time there. Making them bleed to death I suspect they'll remember when they respawn in sassau. Now, there is a bandaid to all this but it's tedious for fixing big losses like -100. I referenced that short in the video. When you're "ready to leave" and have Theresa standing ready, save the game and then go through to check your rep. Then, reload to Skalitz and visit the gambler at the dice table (he needs to be alive). Every game you lose to him will restore 1.5 rep points, meaning you'll have to do like 133 loses to repair -100. If you watch that short you'll see the fastest way to do it. You don't have to play through each game, just quit after the scoreboard shows up but it'll still be boring work losing all those times.
oh btw everyone if you are fast enough you can make it to whare Kunesh can't even get up because of game mechanics id assume.
@@OrthoThechainedking for sure. And sometimes I think he falls weird and it takes him a long time to start standing. I usually bump into him to move him a bit and that seems to speed it along

@@notilt9014 that's strange. They are both alive and not knocked out? You're not getting on the ladder too fast after re sim?
@@TrialBySquire yea they are alive, then i get on the ladder and they disappear, BUT all the chests are still open
@notilt9014 start by leaving the area a decent distance and coming back. I believe I've glitched the farm before when save quitting near them. the chests "should" lock when the trader puts her stock away after laying her inventory out on the table. Zoro is only responsible for locking the door. The lady needs about 5 seconds from coming back to lay her inventory out before you want to banish her again. The stock going away is when the locking should occur To test- bring them back (you can actually just use the wash trough) and watch the lady put her stuff out. Then, go ahead and use the ladder and see if that does it. Another way to exploit traders that "display their stock" is to ride far enough away that they "unload" and then come back. Leaving far enough forces their stock back into their chest, causing the lock. One last way is to kill her. While they're dead, you can stay in the chest room (close the door so Zoro don't see you) and save quit the load back in. With each load in the chests should be locked. Basically, the game is briefly loading her in but since she's dead she immediately is gone but it does lock the chests. I did that in Skalitz for farming locks. There are other ways but it's all about making them put the display stock away to get the chest to lock, and then allowing them to return to work to complete the cycle.

Just hop through the silver mint area (where those 6 bandits are) and ride to Talmberg without the whole "bleeding and being chased" mechanic. I know Helical has a video about it and I found a new use for doing so beyond what he details there.
definitely sounds like it’s worth a try, for now all I can offer if that, if u the prison bars icon in talmberg during the beginning sequence, they let u out immediately, im guessing to prevent the game from freezing up progression, I did most of my level farming in talmberg, and had acquired a horrific reputation as a result. Other than everyone saying mean things when I’m nearby or speaking to them(still hurts to hear, can’t lie) the only other issue was the amount of guards spawning in talmberg has my console(ps4) chugging pretty slow
@@disgruntledtaco3640 Talmberg can be a fun little time-locked zone. Helps that the bathhouse is cheaper than schnapps. The guards make for a really decent potion farm and they respawn fairly quickly. A room at the inn to dump all the loot. It's a sweet deal! I like ledetchko for my farming. You can fix villager/citizen reputation using the Farkle table. Ledetchko only has the villager category so once I'm done leveling everything I just have to spend some time losing games and it's like nothing ever happened. It's not the richest town but it's got a lot going for it.
