I'm a professional sewer, and though this thing can also possibly be you not taking this seriously as it's just a test piece, but at 10:23, the way you sewed that on, two lines next to eachother, connected at the ends. You can make it even stronger, by going back and forth three times, once when going forwards, once backwards, and lastly once more forwards to continue the sewing, in the ends of the two "lines" with the sewing machine. You can additionally still attach this sewing like you've done at the ends, but instead go back and forth like I said, and make it even stronger. And you can make it even stronger by doing the same in the corners seen on the left on the top and bottom. The only thing limiting my ability to provide you professional information, is my level of English and knowledge of sewing terminology. But I hope that helps!

I had an original one from Frontowiec a few years ago, good stuff. I bought a little bit oversized uniform to work kind of like a camo suit and I really liked it. Finally, I sold it to some collector who really wanted this certain model, so no regrets. Thanks for the video!

any pointers on material sourcing? I wanna get into this and have a sewing machine but sourcing surplus fabric material in my country is a faff, unless its DPM I can get that £10 to the metre. Any specific material preferences?

Jerin. Hey again. #1 Your explanation in English is JUST FINE. I can understand what you are saying; where you are going with your conversation and project direction; and I believe I'm catching all of your sarcasm and humor you're dropping on us - Sounds like multi-language mastery to me, so THANK YOU for bridging that gap. #2 Cool pouch design. It works and is repeatable for production, making it all the better. #3 I see your old timey sewing machine. I love the old ones. I use and maintain some late 1800 to early 1900 Wilson and Singer machines. IF you can get your hands on a shoe or saddle patching machine like the Singer 29k or the Chinese shoe patching machine, they are great for sewing onto already made products and doing likewise repairs. Both machine types have loads of TH-cam videos and their different setups (both are worth it) - the sewing foot can turn any direction, no need to spin the material. #4 Some crafting info back to you for sharing with us: Pressed flat corrugated cardboard (cardboard boxes) move and act like medium thick leather, so you can template out and plan how the leather will move and fold - like how you need that extra material in the magazine pouch to wrap around the bottom of the mag. Thin cardboard/cardstock, not corrugated , like cereal boxes, cracker boxes, and file folders make great template (cheat sheet) material to do all the designing on, and will last a while. I like using large manilla folders because I can get them in large size and fold them out to be even bigger. I punch my holes into the cardstock for leather working so all pieces line up with clean holes as well. You can also draw on paper or grid paper and glue that paper to the cardstock. And glue a worn down template onto a new piece of cardstock if needed. #5 - another crafting info bit - If you have a drill press in your shop if can be turned into a leather punch and sewing awl for that thicker material that the sewing machine just can't get through. Any hand tool needle/awl/stitcher can be put into the drill chuck. Just make sure the board you have under your material does not have a hole too large, just a little bit wider then the awl point, so you do not tear or mar your material by it getting sucked down into the board hole. --Keep building for yourself. Have fun, and thanks for sharing your adventure.

Moc Německé výstroje v ČSLA v 60.letech nebylo, to už ne ani v druhé půli 50.let. Minimálně v jednom případě je zdokumentováno nošení těhlech montérek jako polní uniforma v létě (Holešov?) místo mloků na celé četě, jedna fotka kde jsou montérky přes kopřivy s polní výstrojí a zbraní taky existuje, ale to mohla být jen póza. Ještě 10 let zpátky to chodilo kolem 800kč na Aukru.

Very good video. Was interesting to see the picture of your father’s old hiking equipment. I’ve never seen an usárna (if that’s the right word) that looks like his before, with the little side pockets and such.

Decent video but two notes or additions.... The camo itslef in general is not any way rare but basic common uniform from that era, but I got the point that it is special in case of the fact that it has its XY variants. The camo was also used by Belarus, Tajikistan, Georgia and more. Not only Ukraine, aside Russia. But maybe I got it wrong, you maybe meant the note about the Ukraine service only standalone fact, not implying that it is the only other user. Good video in general. Your videos has cool vibes, even speaking about basic stuff.

How would you say VSR-93 compares to VSR-98 in terms of effectiveness where you live? I’m personally thinking of getting some clothes from Frontowiec but don’t know which pattern to get them in.

Very nice video. I want to ask how well do the frontowiec yenot pants breath? I ask beacause I own a yenot anorak in vsr93 and I don't know how suitable would the fabric be for pants. Thanks in advance.

Some of the different variations seem significantly more effective than Flora EMR which just appears as solid green from practical range. I don't understand how so many nations can go through the blunder of creating a 1st gen digital pattern that performs worse than its Cold War predecessors.

Drawstring bags are common, often with grommets in the two bottom corners; the straps are also the drawstrings so the bag closes when worn. I have one in a bugout bag. I could tie paracord to the corners of a pillow case or sack ad make do, but both commercial and homemade suck if the bag is too heavy but that is not the point of these bags as you have said. Another thing to always carry, are small 5x7 or smaller zip closed plastic bags (I use IMP [Canadian MRE] beverage bags) made of thick plastic (to last longer). These are for gathering tinder and keeping it dry, but can also be used to put other things in should you have to make a questionable river crossing, or a river crossing on a questionable boat. lol
