Great videos! and Info ! True and AIS for cell phone. The Google Translate works really well! I just noticed the camera feature - point camera at sign or restaurant menu and it translates it ! wow - also conversing into the cell phone to negotiate prices with bar girls too - lol. I watched your train ride from Bangkok to Hua Hin was good !
If you're using true move for your cell phone provider, you can go to 7-11 as long as you have the APP there could be issue with the language but you can buy top ups from the the app and pay at 7-11.
do they have a barbell in the gym to do bench press/squats/deadlifts etc?
Spend 6 years here and cone back with a video. Digital nomads don't work well here cause they're cheap AF
Har bott 2mån nu i hua hin men aldrig besökt 94, man kanske borde kolla in det en kväll iaf : )
Vilken härlig stad det är! Ja, 94 kan nog vara värt ett besök. Vi får se vad du tycker :)
Thank you , your very very helpful.
This comment made my day. That is exactly what I’m aiming for. Appreciate you 🙏
Your very welcome , i am coming to Thailand soon to see if i can retire there. Is there anyway i can have contact with you for direct information, thank you again !!
A minute twenty two and no mention of the cost of living topic. Moving on..
Pretty sure the entire video was about the cost of living 🤔
That's all the talked about. Maybe cut back on the Adderal.
How did you find that condo?
I identified an area of the city that I enjoyed being in. Then I walked around to the juristic offices of my favorite buildings and asked around for tours. If you want, you can see the tour that I got for this condo building: th-cam.com/video/gjlS9bFZn1U/w-d-xo.html
I'll be there December 3rd! Looking forward to it and incredibly excited! By the way did you use agoda/airbnb or facebook marketplace to find your condo?
Budget 400 a month, does that include rent
6000 baht for a year.. you mean per month right
Yup per month, if you sign contract for one year
@stefanexplores ty
@@dreamthread You're welcome. Thanks for commenting. And you're right, it does sound like I mean 6000 THB for a year when I listen to the video again. Meant to say per month.
Hollidays in spcenter....the authentic food is in the street
True 😁
Thanks for this video Stefan. Very helpful. Only thing I would add for myself is the cost of exiting the country and returning to avoid over staying on the visa duration limit. I could be safe with a budget of 45,000THB/month.
Yup that is something I spend on as well. 45000THB seems like a sweet spot 🙏
For phone sim's on True 5G, got to 7-eleven and get the one with the white border "10Mbps | 30 " on WITHOUT THE ELEPHANT - it's 350B (bottom right corner) - The value one is a red leaflet style package with green at the bottom and is called the "seven" sim written in thai and 30d for 199b Both have the price on the front.
This is a great tip! Thanks 🙏
What aboug health insurance and visa costs Stefan?
Yes I mentioned health insurance at the end. That might be something you’d have to add some money in the budget for, depending on your case. Just stating what this past month looked like for me, to provide an example. A budget is a very subjective thing. As for visa right now I’m just on a free tourist visa 😁
@stefanexplores no worries, it sounds all very reasonable and I enjoy your laid back style of presentation 🙏
@@lessharkboy Thanks, I appreciate you. It's great to talk about these things in the comments as well 🙏
12:41 Tqvm Stefan for the review of the expenditure for the various categories of yr stay in Hua Hin. It is definitely a helpfulninfo for those viewers who r interested to go to tat place. Looking forward to yr next video on yr next travel. Happy exploring!!! 👍🙏😍
My pleasure! Glad it was helpful. Of course budgeting is a very subjective thing but perhaps mine can give an indication for those willing to stay in Hua Hin for a while 😁
hi Stefan i want to thank you for your last video on this apartment because of you i booked this place for 3 months !!!
I’m so happy you found a nice place to stay there 😁
Happy travels Stefan. One couple watching and a new sub. It would be great to get in touch and share travel ideas and network.

I am grateful and happy that you want to come along :D
Thanks for your videos. Loving HH from what I'm seeing. Seems so chill and not crazy busy. I can't wait to visit in Feb2025.
Thanks for your lovely comment. Hua Hin is great and a perfect place if you want a chill, calm atmosphere with everything you need within reach :)
"crazy place", looks like you've used that term very loosely
Haha yeah Hua Hin is pretty chill comparatively
If you have money left on the food card, can you keep it and use another day or does it have to be used the same day and get a refund if any is left over
It is a temporary card that you return after your meal and get any leftover cash back 🙏
Very Nice ! Sounds like you speak a bit of Thai :) Very refreshing to see you call the food out in both English and Thai :) I am currently learning starting with food and kind phrases.
Yeah I think it makes the whole experience of being in the country much better. Trying to learn a bit of Thai. It's fun and the locals seem to appreciate it as well :)
Adding a “na” as in “na khrap” is very polite 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@stefanexplores Could not agree more, while I will like the western amenities is Hua Hin, the true Thai experience will be communication with locals outside normal Farang hangouts :) Thanks for the great video !
If you want Swedish food you can always go to ikea.😊 I believe the corner bar at wonderland across from 711 is a Swede nice guy.
Yes I'm surprised at the amount of swedes in this town haha :D
1000 baht for 5 grams is too much.
I have no idea about that stuff. Some people here say it's better than Bangkok in general :)
Who cares about shopping malls
It is in his neighborhood and can be good on either a hot or rainy day. Lots of things to do there many restaurants a grocery store and either get an iced coffee or smoothie and just chill.
I agree, it can be very convenient. I'm not a huge mall guy but you can definitetly see the appeal and utility here in Thailand :)
Hua Hin is perfection 100% totaly chill.
Really love it yes :)
We used to have Japanese food in the malls as it was reasonable prices Fuji was one of the Places
Yeah really good stuff there :D Hua Hin has a ton of different food in general. Love it :)
hi so how did you get to that big mall blueport , is it on soi 94 ? directions? please cheers
Hi! I just walked between them. Everything you see in this video is the direct surrounding area of Soi 94 in Hua Hin. Soi 94 is right between the two malls Bluport and Market Village.
@@stefanexplores get baht bus, much faster 555.
@@daddy9267 Yes great idea! And it was hot to walk as well haha
Hua Hin is a lovely place to visit. Tq Stefan for sharing this video with us. Happy exploring n till then, yr next video, Stefan. 👍🙏
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes it is a great place :)
Bahgan I am tempted to move to hua hin for that price.
Yeah absolutely! Keep in mind that this is the lowest price available for a 12 month contract. Anything shorter will be more expensive. But still not expensive :)
@ well for the price you got it for you could even let it sit for a while and travel.
Another TH-camr showed this place. It’s very nice
Yes I love it!
i'm looking for a studio for $50/mo utilities included. IS there a place in thailand with 3star hotels?
That would be really awesome. It is hard to find that sort of rent in the places I've been so far. However, I've heard of people living in Isaan (northeast Thailand) for around $75 per month. It all depends on your preferences and if you can live in something with an older standard, far from the center, it believe it would be possible.
@@stefanexplores i'm sleeping in my car for 2yrs now, i only need my money to buy food, i can even sleep in a tent behind someone's backyard if they let me. I need to get out of america... i'm saving my money, selling my car and get the hell out of here. It's freezing out here already.
This is great coverage of options! Thanks for sharing!! Been looking at Hua Hin as my new golf training locale. I hope you enjoy it there!!
You're welcome and thank you so much for watching. Hua Hin is a great place :)
Did you get the one with the tub bath or was it the 1st room we saw type B?
Went for Type B facing north. It is good to consider that, because it can get very hot in Thailand if the sun is constantly shining into your condo. As for a bath, I just use the rooftop pool a lot :D
I have stayed for six weeks at The Room the last two winters and am sure you will not be disappointed. Probably the nicest apartment and location in Hua Hin for the price I have stayed in the last twenty years.
Agreed, it is very nice 😁
How far is it from the beach?
@@Blak-h1z 2 km. So 20 minute walk or 6 minute motorbike ride 🙂
Thanks great video
Pets?
Hmm not entirely sure but I've never seen anyone with a pet here 🙂
Hua hin is saturated with empty rentals I don’t know what the future holds for a lot of them they are still building them even in out of the way places a lot of abandonments especially south and west of the town
Yeah we will see what happens in the future. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment :)
Hi I have been renting in the 2nd building since Oct. The price of my unit is 15,500 baht on a monthly basis. A Thai lady just moved in next door with a 6 month contract ,also 15,500. Its a really great place to live ,good location too.
Yeah great place indeed! Love it. 15500 for a 6 month contract? Wow that's a bit high for Hua Hin :)
Thanks , I checked their website the price starts from 8500 B a month ,looks like they have raised it ,am I right or you have a different source?!
Just checked the website again now and you're right. Now it starts at 8500. Last week when I made this video, it was 6000 thb, like you can see in the video. Another commenter said it was 7000 thb even earlier today. Either they are running out of low cost rooms, or it's just high season kicking in :)
@@stefanexplores high season is starting Guys that`s normal !
November 15, 2024 Just went in to visit. The minimum price is 11500thb per month, contract of 3 month or more. Plus 6000thb deposit. I just talked to a Canadian guy who rent here many times in the past. He never get cheaper than 9000thb.for 6 months contract for the small condo size. You're price, unless you can prove it, are not accurate. Wish it's not a trap to catch up more subscrbers.
Sorry you couldn't find the cheapest deal right now. It is high season and prices generally go up. As always in Thailand, it is cheaper the longer you rent. The prices start at 6000-7000 thb per month (depending on season) but that is for the cheapest units in the building. Maybe they are all full now? I assure you, I am not trying to decieve anyone. Just trying to give information about what is possible in Hua Hin. Very much appreciate you watching and leaving a comment :)
Daniel. Man you evil. Did you watch the video. There was even a price list. Don't try to be smart.
Hey Stefan hello from, Fox Island River Newfoundland. Nice video thanks
Hey Rebecca! Thanks for your lovely comment. All the best from sunny Thailand heading into dry season 🙏
Great video. I stayed in the parin. The building in the back ground from you. Always thought about moving to these. Next time!
Ah yes! Very close to here. Parin was full when I last checked. Must be nice too 😄
@ it’s decent for the price. The staff is nice. But the gym is not as good I will say. I like the view from Parin I was facing the ocean so i could see a lot of Hua Hin
I didnt see an air conditioner. Does your unit have air conditioning?
Oh, I should've shown the AC. Yes it has AC and even ceiling fan, if you prefer that :)
Thanks so much for showing what's available to rent in HH. Looking forward to checking it out myself soon.
Yes and there are many similar options around here. Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment. I appreciate you 😁
They raise the price since you posted this?
Oh wow, you're right! But only slightly on the low end, it seems. That must be because the high season starts now. It fluctuates depending on season here. The good thing is that it's always negotiable in Thailand as well 😉
@@stefanexplores Yeah, you're right. I've been coming for years. Just thought it was odd that they jumped a day after you posted it. Thanks for the video. I'll reach out again if I make it back that way!
Yes I see what you mean. It actually took about a week from filming this to finally having it ready to post. Working on a few things here. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I appreciate you 🙂
Is there any food market with loads of food stalls like in a mall less than 10 or 15 minute walk from there?
Yes there is! The mall is called Market Village and you will find the food court at the bottom floor. The food court is called Street Food Market 🙂
Great prices for month to month contract! 👍Rooms small but amenities are excellent! Maybe need scooter though.
Yes! A scooter can definitely be nice if you want some more freedom to explore around on your own. The neighborhood has everything you need as well. So can get by on just walking, songtaew, tuktuk and Grab 🙂
Is it a month to month contract or 3 months or 6 months or 1 year??? I am in hua hin actually and I'm interested to rent...
All of the above are available options. The longer you rent, the cheaper it can get. Also the lower floors are cheaper than the higher floors :)
