Letters to a Young Poet - Full Audiobook - Rainer Maria Rilke
มุมมอง 10K11 หลายเดือนก่อน
Here is my recording of Rainer Maria Rilke’s Letters to a Young Poet. Originally published in 1929. Translated by Stephen Mitchell/M.D Herter Norton I found sections of these letters very influential when I first encountered them, and many years later have found that I understand them differently, and perhaps more deeply than before - even if i don’t share all of Rilke’s views to the letter. Th...

Here's my reading of Edgar Allan Poe's the Tell-tale Heart, originally published in 1843. I've read it before as many of you probably have...but i've never read it out loud. The Sun Also Rises - Full Audiobook
มุมมอง 35Kปีที่แล้ว
Here's my reading of Ernest Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises, originally published in 1926. Warning: This book features characters that are sometimes racist, antisemitic, and homophobic. I have omitted one sentence (six words) that featured an offensive physical description of a minor character that I wasn't comfortable reading. I have "bleeped" racial slurs when they occur in the text, so they a...

I'm here cuz I wanted to hear the actual book while working with explaining the game's quote of this book, and it is really unexpected for me to find the book hilarious to read lol Nice job!
Thanking for making this 😭😭😭
What an amazing reading! Nolan brings every character to life.
Im a 6th grader, and you saved me big time. Thank you.😊
You’re welcome! Thanks for listening!!

Glad you liked it!
Absolutely fabulous. Your voice is so soothing. Thankyou so much for reading this

I read this book in 1970, sort of. It was so hard to read and I found it depressing. 55 years later I decided to listen to it. Your narration changed how I feel about this book. It still made me sad because Holden was so traumatized by the death of his brother, but your style of narration brought Holden to life. In particular, I could feel Holdens love for his siblings through your voice inflections, especially Old Phoebe. Thank you. I really appreciate having a new way to think about the story.
Love the narrator, but I think the book is mediocre😔 wish I liked it
Such a talent! I really hope you’ll continue to share your gift. Thank you so much.

could you please read "i know why the caged bird sings" i need it for school. thanks
Hey there, thanks for your suggestion. I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings is an important and beautiful work - but for so many reasons it's not a story that would be best told in my voice. The author, Maya Angelou, recorded their own audiobook which can be found here: www.audible.com/pd/I-Know-Why-the-Caged-Bird-Sings-Audiobook/B004EC2RSS?eac_link=5W2kmQPE0SbQ&ref=web_search_eac_asin_1&eac_selected_type=asin&eac_selected=B004EC2RSS&qid=uE1BVeLjbN&eac_id=147-5968231-5708409_uE1BVeLjbN&sr=1-1
@@nolanreads... OK
Ugh, an amazing reading. Truly you brought everyone to life. Thank you for this wonderful performance ☺️
I loathe this book, but this narrator has real talent. Even when Salinger is being so exhaustingly repetitive, this narrator brings a different tone to each. It gave me something to focus on after the 4th time talking about the kings in the back row.
I have ADHD so i can't read books and stay focused on it at the same time {there's an exception for graphic novels because it has pictures.} So this really helps a lot!! Thank you :D
Thanks for listening!
This got me through a week late of reading. Thank you so much dude, it’s so much easier to listen to your audios!
Glad to hear it!
I used your audiobook of The Great Gatsby for my AP Literature class during the summer. Now, I’m using this video for the same class! Thank you for your kind service. 🙏

I don’t know why but I understood from the beginning that they are taking about abortion. Sad.
I was looking so hard for a good reading (English students unite)… you’re the only one that sounds like a human. You put so much emotion into this, and always in the right spot. (and great pronunciation BTW) So as someone who couldn’t stand reading the book themselves, thanks for breathing a bit of life into this old story.
So glad you liked it! Thanks for listening and taking the time to share your thoughts!
Never heard the story
Nolan, you are the very best reader! I always wait for you.
Thank you so much!

Thank you tremendously Nolan! Great reading voice and thank you for the Closed Captioning! I am Hard Of Hearing so Closed Captionings are vital for me. Plus I am Substitute teacher that will need this in the near future when I teach High School English. Closed Captioning can assist students who are English Learners too. I appreciate your efforts. God bless you =)
Hello Amanda! Thanks for listening and taking the time to comment, it means a lot to me! I'm so glad you've enjoyed this ad that it's been helpful to you. And thank you for sharing this work with your students! All my best wishes - Nolan
Bro helped me pass English 101 😭
Narrator sounds like a serial killer. Horrible.
Hey, Sorry this video isn’t working for you. I hope you find something you like better, there are lots of great recordings of this book out there.
chapter 3
Not for me. Holden is too annoying. The reader is just awesome, great job. I will stick to Jane Austen.
Thank you, what an amazing voice you have. Really loved this.
