People pay money to have the overun (pop & bang) noise added to their fuel maps nowadays, this ones natural.
can i have all mods bro ? what did you do to go from 4.4 to 4.7 ? others mods for 406hp ,,, its to much comparing to 286
Hi. If you join " BMW E36 V8s" on FB, you can speak to Steve (admin) who built this car
@fredsshed266 niceee bro.. Im already in.. Ill talk to him
Thanks a ton for advice on removing the tensioner, I’m doing this right now👍🏼👍🏼
I've got a Spit6 conversion with the 2.5l version of that engine (from a TR6), same exhaust. Glourious, and the best part is that it's all happening at a suprisingly low speed. Frankly small chassis Triumphs at speed aren't for the feint hearted so that's just fine by me.
😮
Is the throttle body custom or is it from another car?
Universal ebay tb
@@fredsshed266 thank you I looked on ebay and I think I found one similar. So the universal bolted right up or did you have to machine an adapter plate? And what about TPS, bolts right up?
Hello, congratulations on having such a great car. I can feel the passion for it pouring out of your mouth. I still find the UK LE version very interesting and at the same time underrated for what it is. You are right, only 5 of the UK LE had Servotronic and all of them were in Orinicco colour. None of the UK LE had the spoiler you like so much, so the only option is to put one on yourself. An interesting fact is that the UK Limited Edition was also called the "Steve Soper" Edition. The first 9 cars of the UK Limited Edition had no ""Steve Soper"" edition name in the VIN and a slightly different VIN coding, but they were the same. It is worth noting that 4 more cars were produced with the exact same paint and interior as yours, they were LHD M5 E34 Tourings :D.
Sounds so fn good! Hello from nyc 🇺🇸
Hi couldn't comment on your newest vlog Fred 😢. Did the 635 survive the fire. I was shocked to see it l hope both of you lads are OK.
Hi, mate. No, it didn't survive, unfortunately. We're both OK though, thanks!
That's is so sad these cars are so rare and my god you put so much work into it 😢. Great to hear ye both are OK from the episode. Long live the sprit of the 635 👍🏻. Hope you will keep the blogs coming along you have a great channel. All the best
Ok, well that sounds nice. Can I ask 1) Where did you get the exhaust and 2) roughly how much did it set you back? I love that.
The stance is great! What wheel + suspension set up is that may I ask?
It had BC's and Remotec 16x9 and 16x8
bro why are you doing that 1:12
This was so helpful - it really was the key to adjusting the shocks. I would have never figured this out on my own. I put the Koni 8040-1217Sports on my Z3 and in the lowest level of adjustment, I thought they let the car feel a little under damped. Tightening front and rears half way made a noticeable improvement and the car rides and handles great. Thanks again.
Is there like a stop to them or they just keep on going ?
@@toeknee6931 there is a stop
If this is incorrect, then please dismiss. I read that the steering gets 'sticky' it's because the grease in the column overheats and thickens. I found that if you - A - leave aircon on cold and directed to the dash vents. B- Fit a small 12v fan in the area of the motor. This alleviates the issue. Done it with mine and no steering issues.
Great video! I also have a 6 speed E34 M5 from 1994 ❤
Brilliant cars.
Best exhaust note I've ever heard in my life. Period. End of discussion.
That thing sounds stunning
Great to watch - was cool that Emerald allowed you to film. Keep it up man - this car is great!

That noise.
Love it.
Hi! The car sound stupendous! May I ask if the exhaust is a stock one? a old friend has Triumph 250 with a sports exhaust and it sounds similarly amazing! Or perhaps the microphone is placed near the exhaust? In short, does the car sound like this when driving it, windows up or down but with no acoustic enhancements etc? I too had an Inca Yellow 77 Spitfire 1500 but the GT6 always what i really wanted. Especially if sounds this good!
@justinellis8864 hi, mate. Yes, it sounded this good (still does). I sold it a few years back. They are rimmer bros ss back boxes.
@@fredsshed266 Thanks for replying, I'll have to get some of those ss backboxes when i find a decent second hand GT6 then. many thanks!!
Building a e46 gtr what’s your opinion on m62 stroker or s62 swap
Had the same colour, Saffron. Mine was a 73, loved it shouldn't have sold it.

So is it clockwise for softest or hardest? It isnt clear ..
Clockwise firmer, anti clockwise softer
@fredsshed266 thanks. When you've adjusted and found the sweet spot does the shock extend again? It looks like it's staying compressed in the video
Hey my dad has this truck and has been restoring it. Do you happen to have a picture of the fuse block showing the coloured wires going in and out?
@LouiseDevlin-l8t message me on FB Fred Marsh-Allen and I'll try and send some photos
Mine was a Mk II but the exhaust note is identical. Thanks for the throwback. Beautiful car.
Do you need an extension for your ratchet including a flexible joint to get to those torx bolts?
I'm pretty sure I used a long torx spanner..
@@fredsshed266 do you remember the size? Seems like a 11 or 12mm
@@YZFMANIAC08 it's in the video..
BMW apparently made production line changes to the worm gear machinings from July 5th 2006, cars built after this date seem to have a much lower failure rate.
So Ive tried that, and niw my power steering is dead ffs.
Woww woww 😮😮 really beautiful 😮❤
Great build..love like this with. My e39 What country are you from if you don't mind me asking
UK!
Nice work, I also put Kangaroo manifold. Did you install electric water pump? What type of turbo did you use, any problems with weight of the turboa, and turbo lag while driving. Keep up the good work!
Hi, mate. Still original pump, turbo is gt3584rs and full boost is at 2750. No probs with weight
amazing sound.
That sound is magnificent!
That's soo fresh ! <3
Very nice. I’d love to convert mine to M30
Can you send me the link to which wave track you got because all the ones I read are only 535. Unless if they also 5550
You need to speak to Heaseman differentials
Such a well engineered and set up car, one word.... weapon!!!
what did you break? Why was there so much smoke? A broken rocker arm?
I actually own this car now in Ireland. Still only 65k miles and exactly the same. Unmodified. Work done on sills, full 3 day detail on paint & interior. Fully road legal. Great to see the video
Are you the chap I sold it to? I'm really pleased to know its still happy
@@fredsshed266 Yes, thanks for making contact. The car is being well looked after and it's a fun experience 'educating' my 7yr old. Drivers side sill welded & both painted, refurbished steering rack, plus 3 day detail on paint and interior.
@@fredsshed266 As a correction, I purchased the car from Sean who you sold it to.
Hi! When on full hard, does it become impossible to pull out by hand? Mine two does that strange thing, so leaved half from full hard.
They're stiff when in your hand (oo-er) but certainly liveable on the road. (I'm in the Fens, which has the worst roads).
The strange things is that behaviour at full hard is there and a little bit of turn from that becomes normal and working again in hands, even with big dampening force. I thinked of this as an anomaly because is seems totally blocked on full H, and operating again even at a slight turn from from full H.
Did you tune your carbs to make it crackle like that? Is it running rich?
Hey, I'm turboing my 635, was wondering what size of the intercooler and maybe the brand you're using. Thanks!
Hi, mate. It was an ebay generic 3" inlet and outlet. I believe it is what is restricting the power I am making at the moment (430bhp/460lbft). If I could give advice it would be to buy a quality brand with well-designed innards as the dimensions are not the whole story.
I ended up turning the collar back to its original position and then rotated it the opposite way (around 10mm) and the steering is very free now. It seems every case is slightly different but some amount of adjustment in either direction usually results in improvement.
I’m ready to do one tomorrow what is the labor time ?for you
The real problem is a bearing inside the column, that wears extensively over time due to a design flaw. I had my bearing in my hands, and the little balls were square instead of round, causing it to feel sticky. Additionally, the grease used by BMW does indeed leak out because it cannot stand temperatures above 65C. This makes it worse, but is NOT the cause of the sticky steering. With referecnce to the BMW repair manual, this has been online for a couple of months, was retracted and rejected firmly by ZF, the manufacturer of the column. There is a specialist garage in Germany fixing this bearing, with customers from all over Europe. Had mine done and it drives like new. The fixed suggested in this video may appear to help, but it only enhances the motor effect, making your car dance all ovr the road.
Could you please provide more info on the garage in Germany?
