Looks nice and cheap 😳 I doubt by the look of it that they would have put a DPC layer in the wall so no point saying to back fill up to 4" under the DPC. If it was me I would back fill with gravel once you've dug a big hole for a makeshift soakaway reservoir for the waste water coming out of that pipe. I'm moving over to the Philippines soon, I think I'll take control of the house build 😝
Thanks for the advice mate! I will look into that
Congratulations Rhea and Roy! Very nice! Have a great time together. Always be happy and stay blessed.love always❤❤
Thank you so much merilyn 😃, and to you too
Hi guys, Congratulations. Very nice ❤❤
Thanks Merilyn 😆
Just a question, i see a lot of tin roofs around the philippines with all that heat and moist isnt that just counter intuitive? what is the purpose?
It's a cost thing mate I'd say
@ I get that but if poored a concrete roof would be more costly but so much less heat in my opinion I think tin roofs are very cheap but if you have an ac it cost double in long term but I understand now
Looking great guys, can't wait to see the continuation of the build 🙂 The back i would definitely cement a drainage channel to keep water away from the wall especially with that drainage water pipe sticking out the wall. Will probably get stinky with that drain 😬 Looking happy with the extra space ✌️🇵🇭

Hello Rhea&Roy, very proud of your new home and all your accomplishments.
Hello Mark thank you always for your kind words of support
You could use the wood to build a terrace. Which would make the house a bit bigger.
That's a great idea mate
Just remember fellas-no foreigner can own land in the public domain nor own a business. Both MUST be in the natives name.
Please do some proper research before posting that stuff. Foreigners can own businesses in the Philippines. Various rules and regs apply to different business sectors. However, it most certainly possible for foreigners to own a business in many sectors of the economy.
@QuicknStraight Generally, foreigners can own up to 40% of most businesses, while Filipino citizens must hold at least 60% of the company's shares-giving the pinay total control over the business. Foreigners can own a residence or a condo unit if at least 60% of the building is owned by Filipinos-again, the pinay has control over the property. Please, stop omitting facts when posting.
@@pandemicoftheunvaccinated5367 Wrong again. The 40% limit only applies in certain business sectors where the government prefers to have majority Filipino ownership. There are business sectors where foreigners can own 100% of the business. And I never said anything about condo ownership. You need to do some actual research on business ownership.
@QuicknStraight you enjoy hiding behind details and distraction tactics. PEZA-registered Companies: Companies registered with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and primarily engaged in manufacturing, IT services, or other export-oriented activities are the only businesses foreigners can own but, they are subject to somewhat punishing regulations and requirements. Eg. Export-To qualify for 100% foreign ownership, these businesses must derive at least 60% of their revenue from overseas sales. Then there's systematic corruption, heavy violation sanctions, ambiguous regulatory inconsistencies and lack of transparency-to name a few. Ease of Doing Business index ranks the Philippines 95th out of 190 economies. And frigging stop writing untrue titles on videos!
Hi pandemic, thanks for watching and commenting. I'm a bit lost why you would post that comment on our video, i don't remember anything in the video that has to do with your comment. Our regular viewers know our situation, does this video make it sound like I'm telling guys they can own things outright here?
Good hustle mate well done
Cheers brother thank you
Wooow 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you 😊
Good morning, Sir Roy congratulations for new house.. You can build the bamboo door it's look amazing and easy to build not expensive
That's a great idea mate
Looking good guys! Congratulations on moving in to your home.
Thanks so much louiza 😃
❤🙏😇
Cheers brother
I would concrete at the back of the house with a drainage fall to keep the water away from the house but that's only my opinion and that is what I would do if it was my home
Thanks very much Darren 😀
Well done mate. Love to see you doing well and thriving.
Cheers Daniel! You too mate
I think s screen on those bamboo windows would be a good idea to keep the blood suckers out.
We don't really need that because it doesn't seem like a big mozzie problem
❤ congratulations both
Thank you!!!
Hey brother, finally in now, great stuff. I am curious, why didn't you just have the aluminium windows made and fitted instead of using the bamboo? Also just put a garden under that water pipe and reuse the grey water.
Hey mate, we got quoted a massive amount for the windows, at the same time i had to make final payments for builders, had just bought the car, had a bunch of bills in Australia and was in between pay packets.. so we just had the bamboo windows made up for now
@@Rhea_Roy oh did they see you before the quote? We had 7 x 1 meter square aluminium sliding windows, with screens and tint, supplied and installed for $1,500 Aus in Tes parents house. Ya couldn't buy 1 installed in Aus for that price haha 😂
Kitchen counter/work top and sink made of concrete gives an industrial style to a kitchen, it looks really good when finished properly and highly polished, as do concrete floors. I take it you will have a water connection for the sink, tap etc
Thank you, maybe one day we will connect water, but this family has never had running water and don't really need it
Good solid house. Perfect for some of the weather the Philippines experiences. Congratulations to you both
Thanks very much anthony 👍
@Rhea_Roy You're welcome
The builders have finished, or just for xmas? Are you not rendering inside and outside of house for a smooth neat finish that can be painted? Surprised you didn't install windows and screens. You do need drainage from the foundations, but a concrete path all the way around would help especially during rains as everywhere gets so muddy. The outside area was a mess, much tidier now but still loads to do.
Yes I'll be rendering inside and outside
Allright, now i can see how the cement roof is Made will make for Second Floor Ready. this Roof is guaranteed Typhoon Proff, aaashh volcanoes Proff (hope kanlaon will Hold fine in comin years comes).// allleeluyahh >>.//
@susalanzar3863 yes, that's right kuya Tony, thanks so much for supporting us ❤️
The carpenters should help tidy up before they leave.
Thanks for watching 😃

Thanks for that mate
Looks great and maybe cement the side idk it’s your choice what to do
Yeah i think i will mate
Rhea is so lucky with Roy...
@EsterCarias-v8v yeah your right ✅️ regards Rhea, thanks for supporting us!!
Congratulations! This is excellent news for you, Rhea and Roy. Perhaps you can design the side of the house where the building rubble is to work as helpful drainage away from the foundations, but make a rockery/small vegetable garden beds further up towards the highest side of the area as well. It would be good to consider the path of the natural flow of water in that area during rainfall to make the best decision for the course of the water. Perhaps it could be redirected to an area so you can make use of it for watering livestock? I am not sure, I am an amateur. I am just thinking about what I might want to do if I was deciding for myself. Of course, you should do what you believe is best.
Thanks very much for that great comment! Yes I'm thinking selling the same lines
