@Rhea_Roy well the fan should have went off with the ignition as you mentioned. I had an old truck that was wired the same and I killed the battery a few times before I rewired it!

Yeah I'm strongly considering returning it back to factory settings

Yes the mechanic took it to charge, it's lost it cranking power

Seems to be a wiring issue, with power still being drawn from the battery even with the engine off.

@ It should cut off when the engine is off, so it’s wired incorrectly.

Hey man, that battery will still charge but you just halved it's life by draining it dead flat so if it had 1000 cycles you just shortened it to 500 cycles and even then it will still hold about 80% charge. Buy a new battery and keep it for a small solar setup at your house brother for brownouts. Ingat ✌ Funny we both posted videos about car troubles in the last 24 hours hahaha.

Mate that's exactly what i was thinking to do, get a new battery for the car and use that one as the start of the off grid set up.
I've been working on the car the past few days, fuel filter, oil change, lubricated my throttle cable as it was stiff when I'd first try to press on the peddle and it was really hard to launch smooth. Also did the spark plugs and leads. I've got a dizzy cap, rotor button, thermostat and lower radiator hose ordered, when i get the hose and thermostat I'll do a rad flush and replace the water with coolant concentrate and distilled water.
It's running great but there is one thing, if I'm accelerating in third gear it has a little miss that sounds like a small pop.
I've got a carby rebuild kit already but that will be the last resort if the new electric parts don't solve it.
I found a good local mechanic and they did the timing for me, i said how much, they said whatever i think, so i gave them 200 and they were happy.
They had a lifted tamaraw there and i said oh wow that's cool, and the lady said - yes they put lift kits in, it's a family business, the father is the head mechanic and his two sons, so i may end up with a lifted tamaraw at some point!

@@Rhea_Roy Wow mate sounds like the original cost is gonna be a lot more after you finish rebuilding it haha. I know only too well that Filipinos are not big on maintaining anything. prevention is better than cure makes no sense to them at all lol. Hope you get it all sorted mate and can do some travelling around with Rhea, Have a great christmas and new year and drink responsibly. Everything in moderation brother. ✌

    • @Rhea_Roy
      @Rhea_Roy  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

Yeah it's ok because it's a small 4 cylinder carb engine so there's no computer and bs, I've maintained my own cars back in oz, ht prem, vy commy, mazda tribute, mx6, nothing on this car scares me which is good, and i know where to draw the line with the jobs i can and cannot do with limited tools.
Thanks mate big cheers to you and tes! I've found that the more red horse i drink the more it tastes like vb, but 10 nicer haha , yeah i just share a litro red horse with papa some nights, nothing too crazy mate.
I filmed him rolling a smoke yesterday, just tears a bit of thin paper, didn't even lick it! Just rolled out up and somehow it stayed rolled haha 😄

sorry to see you have car troubles. but. buying cars in the philppines is a tricky business. most used cars are either pieced together from old scrapers or completely worn out. a quick curbside misting of paint and a polish makes them look good but mechanically they are scrap. they may run until you buy them but will they start again the next day.
i went to a yard where multi cabs were sold. in the background were the assembly facilities where numerous multis were being stripped and pieces reassembled from graded parts. prices were according to the age and mileage of the parts being assembled.
i went to used car lots and test drove cars that would be rejected by auto recyclers at home. they were completely scrap yet being sold.
searching for 6 months i finally drove a hyndai sedan of a private sale that was a good used car, yet still i was skeptical of it's mechanical integrity. whe i started too reach normal driving speeds te owner seemed nervous as if something was about to happen.
one needs a lot of cash and know the right people to buy a quality used car in the philippines.
    best of luck .

There is an electrical issue with the vehicle. Could it be your alternator? electrical problems are hard to find issues. My only suggestion is to remove all unnecessary wires hooked up to the battery. There are too many backyard mechanics who jerry-rig or do whatever it takes to start a car. No offense. Your girlfriend needs to be around people working with your car so that you will not be scammed, she knows the language. If the car will not start later on the only recourse is to buy an alternator. There are still nice people around who will help you out. It's buyer beware when buying a used car, but that buyer should be ashamed of himself for selling you junk. whereas it's always breaking down on you. Hope things get better Roy. Enjoy the rest of your day with your girlfriend Buddy.
