I love our country too. Thank you for being a patriot.
Hi Jen glad I found you. I use to live in the harbo for 25 years and now I'm in Cle Elum WA. I hope you find like minded stitchers close so you can have a get together.
I am so glad you decided to continue flosstubing…you have such a lovely presentation flow. It is a blessing that you can sleep on a plane…no need to regret missing doing a few stitches when there is such little elbow room. I was a dedicated monogamous stitcher before I became a flosstuber but knew that I would not have enough to show if I continued this way. I now stitch about three projects a day…I decide how many threads or what area I am going to fill in and accomplish my mini goal in order to feel comfortable changing projects. Some days are easier than others. I often don’t mention haul on my flosstube…I call it future fun when I have it and just leave out the topic completely when no money has been spent.
Hi, getting progress on my larger projects was to make them a focus one day a week. For example I stitched on Winter Rose Manor every Saturday and Christmas Garden every Sunday and I have managed to complete both projects
This is a wonderful suggestion, wonder if I could get myself to stick with it?? 🤣 and congrats on finishing both of those, they are beautiful pieces.
You are so much fun! I love your projects and your stitching is beautiful. I’m in love with your long dog piece. I don’t have any tips to help you, I wish I did, but it is fabulous.
Thank you for your video. I really like a monthly video, so great choice. Your WIPS are getting some good progress. I like your plans. I tried the 12 for 12 last year, and never again. Too little stitching time, because you've got to fit in bathroom breaks, eating time, and I jogged around my house for 10 minutes at the beginning of each hour. Just can't sit that long. I also have reaffirmed that I am a rebel as far as my stitching goes. I want to stitch what I want, when I want. I tried a 2 day rotation, that lasted 4 days two projects. I guess as soon as I'm supposed to do something, I just rebel. So I won't be doing Acrostics, Bringo, anything like that. The best I can do is join a SAL, but for me it's really a start along!😄 One thing I am doing is doing snow stitching, so whenever it snows, you pull out a project with snow. That sounds like fun! Take care and happy stitching!
Haha, bathroom and snack breaks are very important and a big part of why 12x12 doesn’t work for me either. And continue with your rebellion, I’m right there with you!
@harborstitcher I love not rebell😊ing alone!!!!
It was so lovely to visit with you! I must say that you have put many designs on my radar and into my cart! I bought the Tiny Modernist Christmas design and fabric for it. A three day rotation sounds perfect to me! All the best until next time!
Always happy to enable you and help spend your money 😀
That variegated floss for your Long Dog sampler is gorgeous! No wonder you want to stitch it every day. Can you find a separate time or place to stitch it to help your brain switch gears? I started a morning stitch with my coffee…but I’m retired. Or if you only have one block of time for stitching, try starting with the Long Dog and then get up and fix a beverage or stack in between projects to give your brain a physical break. Good luck!
Thank you! I’m really liking this idea of a morning coffee stitch. I’m going to have to try that for the strand a day.
@@harborstitcher you’re welcome, hope it works for you! Now I just have to decide if I can justify a full hank of a gorgeous autumn silk I found at Silk4u☺
❤
Glad you are continuing to flosstube!
I am pretty much a monogamous stitcher...
Hi, so glad to see you back and I love the Man-ikin lamp, so cool!
Hi Jen! So happy you decided to continue with monthly updates! I too have been on the struggle bus with doing 2 threads a day. What I’ve found that works for me is that I pick the project that will be worked on first. Then I complete my 2 threads a day on my 2 a day project. This seems to help me get through the 2 threads. I guess I trick myself into believing it’s my reward at the end of the 2 a day threads😂. I’m loving all your WIPS and new upcoming starts for the holiday season. I plan on starting Snow in Love by Cottage Garden Samplings around December 1st. I hope you have a wonderful month! Happy Thanksgiving! ❤ 🦃
Haha, we always have to find the mind game that works 🤣 can’t wait to see your progress on your new December start!
So glad you decided to continue your flosstubes!! Re the strand a day- can you identify a time in your day when you don't normally stitch? Say in the morning before work or during your lunchtime? That way, you can get some stitching in when yiu normally wouldn't, get your strand in and it will be separate from yourusual daily stitching.
I love that idea! I’m going to give it a try finding a different time for the strand. Thank you!!!
Hello, all your stitching is wonderfull. Love your choice of pattern. I look forward next month for your n'est vidéo. Bye and have fun.
Loving your Winter Rose Manor. I think I’ll be pulling mine out for December. Your 5 O’Clock is also coming along so nicely, too!! I am in the same boat as you on trying to find my groove in taping Flosstubes. I have come to the realization that they’ll get done when they get done!
We got this! We’ll find our groove. When you pull your Winter Rose Manor out let me know, we’ll get some work on them together.
So glad you’ve decided to stick around & make it work for you. Love your videos & your projects! I, too, splurged on the Gilmore Girls SAL ❤️
Oooh. We’ll stitch Gilmore Girls together!
Component your FFO: that frame is fun, I like the hardware. The Halloween Hamlet looks so much better than the pattern photo. Why is that so often the way?!? ~Elizabeth
There’s so many patterns where that’s true. We can never judge a chart by its cover 🤣
Hello! I look very forward to your videos 💜 I learned to cross stitch over 30 years ago (crazy!!) and after learning about flosstube this past summer, it has sparked my love again. You're inspiring me to keep stitching so I wanted to write and say thank you!
So glad you found your way back to stitching? What are you stitching on right now?
So happy to see you back. Love your holiday choices.
I was just thinking about you when your video popped up in my feed. So happy you are going to continue. Stitching makes us happy and it shouldn't be a chore. Hugs my friend!
I've been thinking about you too. Missed you this week on Chris's Zoom. Hope you're feeling better and we'll get to catch up soon. You're 100% right, stitching is my relaxation - it's what helps me stay balanced after crazy days of work and life. Hugs to you!
I'm terribly behind on Flosstube, but I was so happy to catch up with you a bit in your new video! I'm glad the dust is settling a bit in your life and hope things continue to calm down. I hope you continue to make videos because I enjoy seeing your projects, but I think you're smart to be thoughtful about making sure the act of documenting your hobby doesn't change your ability to enjoy it and find it restful. Whether you have many WIPs or few to show, I would enjoy seeing them, and I personally prefer to see noticeable progress on projects rather than a whole bunch of WIPs that only got a few stitches in. :) Hope you have a great week!
That bunny!!! It looks so sweet. No wonder you couldn’t pass it up. I don’t think Flosstube videos need to include haul. It isn’t realistic for a lot of people that they would continuously buy stuff. Of course I shop more than I need to!
I feel the same about my called for Mira fabroc! I restarted mine, too!
So glad you posted this <3
Hey there, I love what you put out on flosstube. Stitch what brings you joy, and also don’t feel pressure to buy. I enjoy it just the way it is.
Thank you!
Really enjoyed your content, beautiful stitching ❤
I do hope you continue to do videos. I love seeing what you are stitching. I’ve also seen you on a couple SYS zoom calls. Don’t let your FY dictate what you buy or stitch. Just remember we’re all just friends sitting around catching up so if you only have one thing to show us for several videos, it’s okay 😀😀
Thank you! I love this visual that we’re all just friends sitting around stitching together. That’s how I’m going to approach it from now on! ❤️
Very nice to see your flosstube. Amy, Globetrotting Stitcher, mentioned you along with me and Chris. You certainly live in a pretty place! Love your patterns and beautiful stitching. I love that bunny pattern! I've got to look for that! The penguins are adorable, and I will definitely check out Country Creative Stitches! Take care and enjoy the weekend ♡
Thank you for your video. I am so hoping that you continue, you have become one of my favorites. We will love seeing you once a month. And don't worry about having lots to show. Just stitch what you want and we will enjoy seeing that. I love what you picked for your full coverage. Those will be fun. And I will definitely check her out. I loved all the progress on your WIPS, they are looking great. Take care and happy stitching!
Thank you! ❤️
Great video! You do what’s best for you as far as continuing videos. I like to visit with you and other FlossTubers no matter how much progress or number of WIPs they have. It’s just about community and sharing our joy of the hobby. ❤
So happy to see you! A monthly schedule is still so generous with your time. I sure do hope you will continue with your monthly videos! ❤
I’m new to your channel. Great video! Where you live is gorgeous! I love Gilmore Girls. I also rewatch it every year. I have the BNS patterns as well. I have many, if not most, of the patterns you’re working on, which is neat. Welcome to FlossTube!
It was good to see you back but sorry life has been so hard lately. I do hope that you will continue- don’t worry about having enough context or haul… I like Flosstubes that seem more like average stitchers like me who don’t finish a lot and don’t buy a lot but enough the stitching! Thanks for taking the time to share your stitching with us
Thanks, I guess I was falling in the trap of ‘do what everyone else does’. I appreciate the encouragement and like you just love to stitch!
I gave that Marilyn Monroe quote from Stilton Crafts, too!!! I’m not sure about stitching all that background… that Buttercream fabric might be a contender if they have Aida… great parade! By the way I live in Edmonds!! Nice to find another local stitcher!!!
I’m with you on that background. That’s why its not started yet 🤣 And hi from your neighbor to the south.
Remember you must do what makes you joyful, I know I enjoy your content and a monthly/ six weekly Flosstube will be good rather than no you. However it’s not about me. I admire members of our community who hold down jobs, participate in life stitch and can still film and edit a flosstube. Keep safe and you do you. 🥰
Thank you! It means a lot to know the pressure is off and people don’t mind less frequency. It really is just about being in the community.
I was glad to see you again and hope you continue because it brings you joy, not more stress! Having a channel is a gift to our community and we appreciate it!
Glad to see you again! I thought about and then didn't start a flosstube for all the reasons you listed. i don't finish a lot of projects, so i don't start a lot, and i don't buy a lot of haul either, alas. so, i stitch 😀 i follow plenty of stitchers who post videos monthly or even less frequently. do what gives you joy and peace! terri, bellingham WA
Hi to a neighbor up north. I love that you said ‘so I stitch’. Thats what we all have to remember is the point, to enjoy our hobby!
I do hope you continue! Your flosstube encouraged me to start one with a friend. We are August 1823 Stitchers. Maybe you can find a stitchy friend to join in on your flosstube. It is much more enjoyable, I think, with two.
How fun! I’ve got you queued up in my watch list and can’t wait. Guess I’ll have to watch to know more about the name of your channel. But I’ll be rooting you on.
Just found your channel! Welcome to flosstube! Great video. ❤❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊
Thank you for the very nice shout out Jen! I'm a new subscriber and I plan to go back to square one and binge you today! I have to say when I started I meant to do a flosstube every two weeks but when it turned out it was just me with what I had to share stitching wise... a monthly (or more) works out better. Do what feels right for you and know that we tune in to see what brings you joy. I love your variety of stitches and really love the Mother Teresa quote... It's perfection! Looking forward to seeing all of your journey this year and beyond. Happy stitching!🌻🌻🌻
Thank you and I’m doing the same, binging your back episodes 🤣
I love your channel and hope you continue with monthly flosstubes.
Thank you!
Glad to see you back! Life certainly has its hills and valleys which can cause plans to change. Ugh! Your stitching is beautiful, and regardless of what you described as a lack of focus, I think it’s impressive that you have forged ahead and done so much. I’m going to have to look for that Stoney Creek “Let it Snow chart. I love it!! By the way, the crows were an excellent addition to your October video! They were right on cue! 🎃 👻 Wishing you lots of happiness and happy stitching until next time! See you then! ❤
Thank you for the sweet words and I definitely couldn’t have planned the crows better 🤣
I’m glad you’re back!
Great to see you again love seeing your progress x
I'd love to see the mannekin lamp please!?! I love the concept on the overdyed floss!! So smart! And P.S. your hair is fabulous, so beautiful!
Es on washing the crunchy Aida! And I dye my own fabric so yes I t does help take the sizing out.
Discovered your channel yesterday. Enjoyed your WIPS and current projects. I saw some projects that I would like to acquire. Looking forward to your next video.
I like your projects! Glad infound your channel!
I stitched Christmas patches for my Mom many years ago. I enjoyed it and she loved the gift. Great TH-cam episode!
What a lovely gift! I can’t wait to get started on mine.
