It's been a long time coming, and finally here is an unusual and maybe a rather unorthodox way of configuring your Mode-1 Foot Switches for maximum flexibility and functionality !! I'm betting there are many RC users who would NEVER dream up or try this type of configuration, let alone find a need for some of the functions I decided on for this template of Footswitch Layout. You can use the write command to copy/paste and re-arrange memories, but it may be somewhat tedious ... You can absolutely do this on a computer, using file explorers or the RC600 Editor program ...

      I will look into this, it is possible that the 32 measure storage was involving a stereo take, and reached a limit sooner ?? I have not experimented with duration limitations during a bounce. .. With the full songs I did work with, they were short songs & I did not count to know how many measures ... Sorry, I will have to look into it

    Big thanks! from Poland, from Krakow! Today, 13.12.2024, I updated the system from basic to 1.40. Thanks to your extensive and detailed instructions. I did it earlier in Boss SY-1000 - but there was no Roland folder in the SY-1000 folder - and there was only one .bin file to transfer. In CR-600, there is a Roland folder and 5 files to copy - and that confused me. I didn't know - is there an error on the CR-600 disk? What to do next. The Boss instructions on the website do not mention this folder. But with your help, I went through all the steps and the installation was successful. Many thanks, I subscribed to your channel and I would like to see other topics. I wish you good health and success!🙂🙂🙂

      I will add - because it is important. It is fashionable to speak quickly now, in Poland we call it word-flow - and it is good in many light topics. However, updating the firmware is responsible, because an error later costs time and money and the trouble of sending the equipment to the service. That happened to me 10 years ago - when I updated the software in a guitar processor for over $1000 - and suddenly the power went out. In the whole area. Although the equipment was under warranty - it died - and the importer's service in Poland did not help - they sent the equipment to Denmark _ TC electronics. There they replaced some integrated circuit - and it cost me 20% of the equipment's value - time, trouble, and stress. Since then, when upgrading, I connect the equipment to a UPS. This gives me some chance for uninterrupted operation. So your precise, unhurried and maybe non-commercial - haha - in the form of instructions - is the best and provided in an ideal form. Great!!!!

      @@AZZA9012 Wow I'm sorry that happened for you ... I will stress the importance of this in a future video ... If any interruption or power outage happens while updating system firmware, you will very possibly be unable to recover the machine, no mater what Machine it is, they are all similar this way ... what we call this is the machine is 'Bricked' - meaning unrepairable by anyone other than manufacturer... Only the factory can can fix it, and will take very long time to get it back, if at all, and will cost a lot. I may try to make a more 'generic' video next time, that can apply to any/all hardware, as the process is usually very similar... Cheers, my friend !!

    • @the_michaelsphere
      @the_michaelsphere 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The built in drums exist outside of the tracks, and so will not be part of the fade out. You could however, capture those drums along with the bounced tracks during the capture process, but then you should include yet another Assign to 'shut off' th drums once the bounced track starts ... otherwise you'd maybe have the common issue of having a part being played from two sources, and would sum up to be much louder that expected ... By doing this, the drums are now part of the fade out track & all would be able to fade out together !!

      LOL !! We've all been there with this machine!! It's so involved that we'll be in discovery mode well into the 2030's !! I suspect that the CEO of Boss has put every effort into ensuring that this machine would be his 'gift' to the world of music before he retired .. He seems to have seen to it that nearly everything is possible somehow with this looper ... But with that comes a hurdle that can seem impossible ... we have an incredible amount of experimenting & learning to do ... and even have to re-think how we loop in general !! What is currently seen by many as a faulty & flawed machine, is slowly being proven to be largely human error and wrong approach to the problems we've seen... There's no way around it, we'll all need to dig in & do lots of homework to 'get' this machine ... Don't give up on it, Cheers!!

      Hi there & sorry for slow response ... Absolutely I will continue with many more videos, hopefully soon. A very loud band has occupied the studio next to mine, and they leave very little time to work on new videos, as they rehease almost constantly .. I may need to relocate, or just hope for time when they are not around. Sadly, my current studio is one of many within a band rehearsal facility ... it was a good option at the time but has become almost worthless for my purposes. ..

    Your presentation and being detailed in all the information you covered was outstanding! I really appreciate you taking the time to make this video, especially covering the firmware. Respect from Texas.

      I've been testing cameras with shorter focal ranges and various lighting setups to get a clearer closup without losing resolution .. this setup did not acheive the best results .. apologies !!

    Updated my 600 to 1.3 easy peasy but often get "looper too busy" pages where tracks drop out but rhythm still plays. Returns to normal op after a bar or two. Occasionally get a short but disturbing "horrible glitch noise" lasting a fraction of a second but guaranteed to ruin the mood you just created. Was hoping the update would solve the probs. Anyone else out there with similar issues? Thanks for a fine video.

    can i make 6 rigs/patches, attach them with 6 loop tracks, and turn them on with the respective 6 loop tracks when I am looping?

    • @the_michaelsphere
      @the_michaelsphere 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi & thanks for watching!! If I am understanding correctly, you wish to have a different set of Fx become active for each track, when they are played back? I believe yes, this is possible, at least partially, using Assigns behind the scenes ... There would be some difficult obsticles and limitations, however ... and likely might require external effects chains and/or midi-capable MultiFx processors alongside the RC . .

    Merci beaucoup michael , j ai rencontrer beaucoup de problemes sur youtube pour trouver des vidéo en francais, a vrai dire, il n y en a pas ...! alors j ai regarder en anglais avec le traducteur, et la j ai cru devenir fou ! La complexité du RC 600 necessite des explications claires, mais le franc parler de certains diffuseurs traduit par youtube me donnait ...les mensurations de maryline monroe !!? 😃 Et je suis arrivé sur une de tes vidéos , et grace a toi ma conprehension du looper est bien mieux , merci pour ta facon de parler calmement et clairement, c est idéal pour la traduction , cette serie est pationnante ...! Bonne continuation et bonjour de france .😉

      Merci d'avoir regardé !! Je sais que Traduire est un excellent outil et ne fonctionne correctement que si l'on parle de cette façon... la plupart des gens se dépêchent et parlent trop vite et ne peuvent pas être traduits correctement. J’apprécie beaucoup votre contribution ! Merci!! M.

      Mode 3 will likely change everything, but I have to first address the many requests for examples, sounds and demonstrations of what I have so far ... so I will re-arrange my setup for this purpose for the next few videos ... then resume with the next mode ... Thanks so much for watching !!

    • @the_michaelsphere
      @the_michaelsphere 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would absolutely advise using two dual footswitches, it can add loads of options !! Boss makes FS6, FS7, or you could use FS5u's instead. .. and move them apart!! And absolutely, using the CurrentTrack setup this way opens up all kinds of extra functionality ... If you're new with it tho, I might advise first learning lots of basics before committing to this kind of setup ...

    • @the_michaelsphere
      @the_michaelsphere 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Once any configuration adjustments are made, or whenever you've recorded any tracks you wish to keep for future use ... then you should always save the memory !!
