Such a fun hobby nice bike build bro
Great work Matthew!☺️👍🏻 Sounds and runs great!🙉😅 How fast is it? Is it self build? Have a great rest of the week!😊❤️🍦🍨
First motorized bike?!
Pretty, but, REMOVE YOUR FENDERS, or face injury or possible death. No excuses will save you when they SHATTER due vibrations and buckle your wheel up. And it happens more than you can imagine.
Take your fenders off I had one come off luckily I was slowing down when it broke if I would of been going fast it would of hurt me bad or killed me just a heads up
fenders are not going anywhere but thank you for the warning I make sure everything is tight at least every two to three rides double checking everything
BS, fenders do KILL. REMOVE YOUR FENDERS, no excuse will save your ass when the front one buckle your wheel up. @@matthewworkshop5371
I have the same exact motor for quite some time now. Once you get a better pipe, it's gonna get up anny hill no pedalling. I only moded my pipe slightly and that made it take me places ive never been before. It just went everywhere like nothing. Like a slow dirtbike. I never had it running rough when i fully broke it in and opened up the pipe a bit. Now i have a mz65 clone pipe and a 36 tooth sprocket so it's not a climber anymore but it's better for road and further distances. I need to build another bike with the same motor purely for terrain and hilly riding.
my friend after it has gone through about three to four tanks of gas I'm planning to give it a muffler mod or a pipe and a new upgraded carburetor with adjustment screws hopefully
@@matthewworkshop5371 im not ready for a new carb yet because i heard the better ones are pain to tune. So far the stock bofeng works fine for me.
thanks for the rip
you're welcome I always do that when I pass a cemetery
You look handy with a welder. Actually those are great little carburetors. The needle and seat can be problematic when you fill your gas tank to the top. If you have flooding, turn off your fuel valve, mine has the push button to drain the bowl, then rigorously bounce your back tire a few inches from the ground to give it a good shock. This will often free the needle and seat so you don't have remove it. Also, I don't know why these kits come with an air filter. They won't run right with those on there. Nice bike build.
Thank you I’ll try removing air cover. I was curious about that. Definitely play around with the curb and see what I can do but I really do want to buy an upgraded carb.
@@matthewworkshop5371 Many on YT say some of the speed carbs are not worth it. I would look at brake upgrades. I had a coaster brake until I twisted my axle one day when a car pulled out in front of me.
great videos man!
Thanks
Sounds like it's too lean in gasoline, are you mixing the gas and oil @ 16 to 1? Use less oil @ 32 to 1. That Wooaaaah woooaaahh sound means there's not enough fuel and the oil doesn't help when it's this heavy a premix. Use good synthetic like Lucas and don't use E10 gas. Non ethanol is better.
I'm running it at a 20:1 mix with non-ethanol gas the spark plug looks clean not the chocolate brown color it's supposed to be I am pretty sure it is the carburetor it's not allowing the motor to run properly the oil to gas ratio is what the specifications online on their website said so I was just running with what they were telling people to do
Really like your videos! New sub and watching quite a few of your offerings. Thanks for all your hard work!
Thank you more videos coming
Nice build bro
thank you
is it china doll 80cc? if so no wonder it breaks
it is Chinese but it hasn't broken quite yet it seems pretty durable
me and my buddy has gotten that exact same kit, its actually surprisingly strong and well done. few things we had to work out but nothing difficult and we ran it to the moon and back with no issues haha
@@matthewworkshop5371 my chinese doll still runs but got some compression issue everything is fresh new but idk why it broke so i decided instead of fixing it ill get smthing stronger like the avenger 85cc 8HP it has i believe
@@thewaffle3945 @armeytank I plan on buying a newer better carburetor and an exhaust for it I think it will really upgrade the performance and how it runs I would love to be able to adjust the carburetor and tune it properly I have it running at a 20 to 1 mixture for oil to gas ratio and the plug looks like it is running lean so I really hope that it doesn't burn itself up thank you guys for leaving such nice comments
@@matthewworkshop5371 i prefer for u to check trent bikes chanel u will get tons of info what each tune will do and perfom best
Don't make excuses to help people's feelings. Some people will die on a hill for their perception. I made a video showing the effects of recycling air in a car with the AC on, and some people didn't believe me! The numbers were jumping, but they were jumping higher at higher RPMs. These engines are fine running at factory high RPMs (as long as you keep up on maintenance), it does run hotter but uses more gas. Just post the numbers, and roll with it. My video on car emissions with the AC on: th-cam.com/video/geDrEfv0eLs/w-d-xo.html
loud and slow
it beats pedaling especially on a hot day
@@matthewworkshop5371 hey i was thinking of getting one and it says it goes 25 but it doesnt say like for which sprocket i was wondering if your running a 36 tooth or not and what the actual top speed is, thank you
@@uzerb3073 I have a 44 tooth rear sprocket and it goes approximately 28 to 31 miles an hour going to make a video here soon with one of my family members driving her car next to me and doing a split recording of me recording and my best friend recording inside the car to show speedometer reading of how fast I'm going I know it's complicated but it works
I will say that with the higher RPM's we've ran are tractor on high for 6 years and its fine it's an engine the higher the better Grass cut.
Meh... these small air cooled engines are designed to run a "full throttle" Keep in mind the engine is essentially governed down to where they are meant to operate.
Higher rpms actually moves more air across the fins to keep it cool. Lower rpms is less harsh on engine but loses cooling. Note always keep the fins clean from dust and grass build up which would make it run hot. Mowing at full throttle it matches blade tip for less stress on engine. Especially mowing thick grass. Keep up the good work👍
nice content. keep trying!
Thank you very much. I do try my best on my content.
Hell yeah
@@Littleevil9975 hi thank you for watching and commenting
I'd recommend a jackshaft with the chain saw...otherwise you'll be burning your clutch and getting nowhere. The bike motor is a bit past 20:1 total gear ratio, so I'd start there.
Ey man, if you wanna get more views, i recomend you adding tags on the videoo like for example "#Bikes #Repair..." you know what i mean prob, also nice video :D
Pretty cool buddy
Nice Matt, not sure how I missed this when you originally uploaded it. The TS185 is a great bike! I especially like those early ones like yours there.
Is this for a 1972?
Mhm yes it was

Man you are a genius.
Thx you
There is no sound
I was muted, of course there was no sound
You got plenty of time to run with all that room and doing all your other no time to run
It’s way different now than it was when you were living with us
Looking forward to this Matt!
Two spark plugs incase one fouls out you can put plug wire on the other plug.good bike.loved the one i rode

Nice Chainsaw. 😮
Nice Chainsaw....greetings from Germany Peter 😎
Welcome my friend. Hope you enjoy my channel.
Getting there. Nice work buddy.
Thank you Arnett we are getting there just going slow
Very strange that the NOS piston has more slop. Did it come in a box with the oem part number on it? I think you’ll be fine with the old piston as long as it’s in spec as you mentioned. Looking forward to seeing it finished!
I did not have the box. It was an eBay by but the parts number matches up to the NOS parts number in manual, if possible, I would like to contact you somewhere else so me and you can talk privately if you’re OK with it
honestly I'm only gonna see them if they are in parts so ye
Looking good buddy. Stay safe. ❤️🌲🪓👊🏻🙏🏻
Thank you, Johnny I think I already found a solution, i’ll keep people updated
We still use one! Great power! Will vibrate hands numb!
yeah that is a fact almost like a tank it's hard to kill one but it vibrates a lot and it's not my favorite chainsaw right now my favorite is Husqvarna 455 Rancher
I have a Husqvarna 359. It had never broken in 13 years. Greetings Peter.
how do you like that style hone tool? I’ve only ever used the ball flex hone. Always curious how people like that kind.
I have never use a ball hone the style of cone is easy to use. The stones are brittle they like cracking and breaking but as long as you’re careful, you are good it does the job.
@@matthewworkshop5371 good to know thanks. I’ll have to try it sometime!
@@Garage2Trail only way you will know if you like it or would use one again is to try it out good luck
Sorry buddy, you need to take the coil pack off of the bracket, then put a normal coil from a older saw like homelite on the bracket, then wire in a ignition module from Oregon. Then you have spark for ever.
They have a sound of their own and different from most other saws
yes they do they sound very rowdy
