Ryker Rally To The North
Canada
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 28 พ.ย. 2020
MOUNTAIN SLEDS, JET BOATS AND MOTORCYCLES!
Hi! My name is Kare. Living life large in Beautiful British Columbia, Canada. Come and see what I see from the seat of my awesome Ryker Rally! My sled! An Arctic Cat Snowpro 8000 mountain machine. And on the water with our Northwest Jet boat.
My channel is named Rally To The North for a reason. That is to ride from Southern Canada, in BC, to as far North as I can go, on my Ryker. 10,000 KM trip with 600km of dirt. Ending on the shores of the Arctic Ocean in Tuktoyaktuk. Summer 2023. Come along for the ride here.

Found them through the Okanagan pocket deserts. Beautiful!!! Final destination! Tofino BC. The very edge of western Canada. One day we will go as far east as we can.

Another ride through British Columbia's majestic mountains. This is the best ride so far for 2024. The scenery is over the top beautiful and nonstop! The camping was amazing beside Kinbasket Lake, with views to fill the soul. Great camp food and complete relaxation. We will definitely go again.

A favourite route that I have taken on my Ryker Rally a few times. Spectacular scenery on great winding roads. Keeping up with my husband on his 1200 Super Tenere motorcycle. What a great ride!!
Can-Am Ryker Rally, how to easily ride the curves successfully.
มุมมอง 4956 หลายเดือนก่อน
Riding curves can be intimidating on a motorcycle. The Can-Am Ryker Rally is completely capable of taking curves at double the posted speed smoothly and safely. What a great feeling! So much fun without any anxiety. Just a few simple body position set ups to be comfortable and have an awesome ride on the twisties.

No instructions on raising the cam
@@rolandoperez8054 yes there is. Look for Jacking and blocking your Ryker in my videos. There you will find a safe and easy way to raise the bike.
You are so brave to brave the elements 😊
Me and my trusty steed are up for it😁
What trunk luggage are you using? Great information! I just got my Ryker Rally last week. I’m really enjoying it but wondered how it would go off road! Thank you! ♥️🙌🏻
Hi! Congratulations on your Rally! Great machine! I use a GIVI case for my rear luggage. Check out Givi.com
Wow, looks like a great afternoon adventure! Good for you ladies!
@@valerierever8255 It sure was!
Thanks, very informative and visual aid.
@@gileslaney5263 your welcome😁
Bonjour, fallait montrer comment resserrer la courroie juste en démarrant le moteur...
Nice trip , this is one in my bucket list , did it 1/2 way to Tofino to the redwood in a car , but due to road contraction and traffic we did not make it to Tofino. Would love to do this with my Ryker. Alain & Yellow
I’ve done it in car and now twice there and back on my Ryker. The skies were clearer this time😁
Did you bring with you a spare tire ?
@@benoittrottier I have no place to carry a spare tire. It would also have to be mounted on the rim as we have tried to take one of my tires off the rim and only wrecked it. I do have a spare on a rim at home that could be shipped. I used to worry about the tires but not so much any more. Last summer we did a 9000km trip to the Arctic Circle above Canada. On the Dempster highway (Google it). The trip included 1000 km of dirt, gravel, and extreme unpaved roads. My tires were new when I left and preformed perfectly. I do carry tire plugs, a 12 volt air pump and a can of tire inflater. 40,000 kms now and never a problem. On my second set of tires now. I ride a lot off of the pavement.
@@RideForAdventures good to know, thank you for responding so quickly and the detail… I am planning to buy one of these rally for next year to specially go up to Tuk …did you carry more fuel ?
Beautiful landscapes! Thanks for bringing us along 🙂
What beautiful country we live in!! Thank you Karen, Loved your video!
Who is this music?
Scorpions-follow your heart.
1st ride of the year. Excellent!!!
Thank you for your info. We certainly will take notes on this issue. I have not had any issues regarding stalling with our 2019 Ryker rally. I'm the one that rides the Ryker more often.
@@heidistucki1309 I hope it never happens to your Ryker. Stalling happened to me in very dangerous places on the road.
So they can on logging roads but i see you kind of have to be really careful. I guess i will stay with two wheels.
Yes with only 4.5” clearance. In most places on forestry back roads I can just rip around/drift the curves. Until it gets deeply rutted or boulders and windfall. But that’s rare where I like to go and play.
Would you be willing to post the plans for the rack you made please? I love the design and how simple it is.
@@Raynor88 There aren’t really any plans. They were made to fit the dry bag saddle bags I have and measurements were made according to that. The rack attaches to the max mount on both sides and underneath at the tail.
@@RideForAdventures I know. I wanna get these drybags for my ryker too. Thats why I asked.
video was on for 5mm ... Wow, great video nice filming and great music , having fun on interesting dirt road with great vues and wildlife wow. Here not so lucky got the VSS issue on the ryker and having difficulties having it fixed.... but life will go on Alain & sick yellow ( wish BRP would have a recall for this)
I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. It was a really relaxed ride and couldn’t have been more scenic. Sorry to hear about your Ryker problem. Hope it’s rectified soon.
Thank you for this! Seems like Can-Am, or a hardware tool company, should make a special "hook tool" gadget. It could be used to make removing and reinstalling the rubber battery strap easier.
Great work you two.💯👍🏿
Bonjour il y a un suisse qui a fait cette route en plein hiver avec un Sidecar Oural sa chaîne est Robby tree wells regarde c’est intéressant Bravo tu nous fait rêver merci un salut de la France 😀😀
I wish TH-cam could translate
@@RideForAdventuresthe guy wrote… a TH-camr call « Robby3wheels» from switzerland did the dempster ride to Tuk 2 years ago during the winter season on a Ural 3 wheeler with a sidecar…I would prefer to do it on a Ryker during summer …
I heard about him at Eagle plains, half way to Tuk.
You need to change that horn ....nice to see you riding this summer and what nice area in bc , love these mountains., i already had a small trip up around tadoussac area in quebec 1100 km in 3 days ...and yellow is riding great ( ace900-2021) been riding every week and hope to have a good summer on the road. ( heat wave this week maybe less riding) Have good adventure riding your R Alain & Yellow
Yes the stock horn is so lame. A better one is a great idea!
Safe rides Alain
Sorry I’m trying to learn to change my Ryker battery I appreciate your help but I could not clearly see what you was doing, you kept putting your left hand/arm in the way, I could not see how you was removing and reinstalling the battery strap.
I agree. The left arm obstructed our view. The camera should have been angled in the middle I think for that particular step. Or maybe for the entire video. You are right.
I was able to change it out, thank just the same also your video was very helpful, yours showed the best way to change the battery using a screwdriver to prior the frame to release the strap came right out without having to take off all the extra parts so once again thank you
Amazing scenery 🤩
It really was. Living in the heart of BC gives superior riding experiences😁 Thanks for watching!
Very nice video 📸
@@chuckbayman Thank you😃 I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
“Off road” *precedes to drive down a dirt road* 😂😂😂
Ok ok, off pavement then lol
Great video. Thanks. Does it need buds 2 to clear the maintenance message.
Thanks! Yes it needs the software to clear the msg. Or you can take to your dealer to clear. If they are nice they will do it free.
🎼🎧🎵Can't tell you how much I love this‼️ About to buy a Rally asap!🎶🎧
You’re gonna love it!
Thanks for this video - my Ryker came with these fitted but I want to remove them; really helpful information, much appreciated
That’s great that it was helpful! It is what it was meant for😁
What’s your camera setup?
GoPro 11 on the back of my husbands motorcycle.
Are you not concerned about people stealing from a soft bag? Or stealing the bag it self? I'm going for my M(M) license in 5 days and I've been researching storage like crazy. I don't feel safe with soft bags\tank bags. But everyone swears by em. Also, what is your mpg\kpl for the rally? I'm looking to get one this summer and explore Canada. But I'm not sure what the fuel economy is for a Ryker. Lastly, What kinda safety gear you wear? I'm not sure if I need a motorcycle jacket\pants or not.
No concerns. The LinQ dry bag on the very top has a lock, as does the fuel caddy. The saddle bags are under the locked fuel caddy and cannot be taken off. I take all luggage into any motels we stay at. If the fuel caddy is empty, which it mostly is I leave it locked on the bike. Traveled 8000 km to northern Canada and back last summer with no problems. I wear armoured gear that is still light and airy. Warmer gear is also armoured. Motorcycle riding boots. Very little heal and good ankle support. Rally can go up to 300 km but that’s pushing it depending on weight your carrying and how your riding as far as throttle goes.
@@RideForAdventures So you wear full gear?
That’s fantastic possibly all this is on Amazon
I know the fuel caddy is for sure.
Love seeing a woman who can teach about the mechanics of keeping my Ryker in good repair! Thank you . . .very helpful & practical!!
Your welcome! I appreciate your encouragement ❤️
@@SC-ow8vb yes I agree, she taught me a lot but I been learning from women all my life so I love it too 🫶🏾

Duly noted🙂
Nice scenery. Looks similar to where we live on the West coast of the South island of New Zealand. Also a rain forest.
I’d love to see NZ
@@RideForAdventures I am new to motorcycle riding and love our roads. Scenery changes constantly and is just breathtaking! Its similar to Canada but on a smaller scale.
What was the glue
Comes with the kit
You can get these from Can-Am. Peerce radiant leather gloves. can-am-shop.brp.com/on-road/ca/en/446349-unisex-peerce-radiant-leather-gloves.html
Thank you so much, You're a blessing. Made it much simpler for me. God bless you and your family.
That’s good to hear! Thank you!
Great views!
Good morning ☀️. Thanks for sharing the ride. Beautiful scenery.
Yes, thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it😁
Very nice video 📸
Thank you😁 It sure brings back some great riding memories.
If you had one more wheel, you could have an atv.
Haha ya I guess so. The Ryker cannot do what a quad can. It can go off road but on graded gravel or dirt. Clearance is only 4.5 inches.
That is an awesome build, bike and cause! Definitely going to follow along since i found this researching motocamping with a similar setup. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks!😀 We made the trip last July. It was the best trip ever! You can see glimpses of it right here on my channel.
Great job, very clear instructions. I'm planning to change the oil in my 900 this spring
Thanks! I’m glad it was helpful🙂
ADV Riding a Can-Am Ryker? All about it!
It surpassed my expectations! Can-Am never advertised it as a bike for adventure. They are now though.
Have you done a video on that rear case? Where did you get it from?
The rear case is a Givi case. It’s a great addition. Love it. I do not have a video of installation unfortunately. At Givi.com you would need the standard mounting plate which attaches to the max mount on a Ryker.
What kind of camera is that? Helmet mount?
It is a GoPro 11 on a helmet mount yes
Such amazing views. Thank you for sharing them.
You’re welcome. I am glad that you are enjoying the video.
That front end looked pretty close to the rocks!
Yes it definitely was. After that ride I installed under rad and transmission aluminum protection.
