i seriously think the fandom needs to stop being so fucking hypocritical. and they need to stop viewing bsd as a shonen, bl, gay anime/manga because it’s NOT. bsd is a seinen about mental health, and the fact that the bsd fandom is so ignorant to the one thing the entire anime/manga is about is actually astonishing to me. i also think bones studio is partially to blame for this because a lot of these actually unfathomable takes are coming from anime-onlys. bones waters down the personalities of characters to single cliches or personality traits and doesn’t give characters the amount of depth that they have in the manga. bones also treats bsd too much like a shonen and puts too much emphasis on the fighting aspect, so they’re partially to blame imo. and i swear these fans hate the female characters for no apparent reason other than their own fetishes.
