As a dealer in general it's the worst part business, you are on the hook for consumer rights 2015 ( so fit for purpose in relation to age and milage,) I show any faults and put faults in description- parking sensors, noisy window regulator, etc, as long as the car runs and drives no issues, Only ever had one issue gearbox blew up we went 50/50, I try my hardest to only buy good cars and test the at least 100 miles, but sometimes it's bad luck, also I stay away from problem cars

Furthermore, once you are registered for VAT you will have to account for two types. Input and output VAT.

This cash sheet was what I used in the dealership, and I'm already at 15k so vat regestering is a few months away, I have an accountant that will sort all the details, so in future videos I'll be able to update

My average days to sell is 18 on 370 units sold when I ran a dealership, So I'm planning on the exact same set up

The liability insurance is built in to my trade insurance all one policy ( speak to insurance brokers to get you exact cover you need ) Warranty is 2015 consumer rights ( fit for purpose) most Warranty companies won't pay so I have a warranty pot and pay out my self, I also have a warranty form the customer signs

I think on Wednesday I'll start checking all vacuum lines, before taking the turbo off and sending it away

@drivewaylife like I'm talking, take them out. Make sure they're all routed correctly and check each and every one for splits etc

@drivewaylife that'll be the top three bolts on the turbo. Bet one is loose if not two..... not much i don't know about the mk1 tt, had my two now for over 15 years lol

@5tevenH I haven't had the best experience with myn but I have to say it's more fun than my s5 4.2 or my s3. I love the hole experience it gives low bumpy, sporty seating position.

Definitely don't ditch the checklist. You can sell your cars as 50 point inspection and tie that to your checklist. Don't get misled by old war horse traders like the chap commenting here. Experience CAN bring about negligence. Definitely keep the checklist

I would be careful about putting price boards in the cars, you are allowed to run a business from home but I expect you would need change of use/ planning permission to turn it into a forecourt the council will be knocking your door that's for sure,

Also not keen on the idea of people just walking around having a noisy
