Trash the naim, distorting and pounding the big jbl too much. Only works, even with hicap on very specifically selected speakers. I bet the sugden is more compliant over a bunch of different speakers.

Hi they have both great sound Have you modded the JBL xover ? i would look at the quality of parts in series with the tweeter Both caps and resistors they can add distortion and smear the response I looked at the specs Weight: 15.8kg/each !!! very heavy Good for resonance control They should image well I would take any of the two Great speakers

price/sound quolity Naim wins hands down. Even SQ regardless of cost, I still like Naim better. I bet Sugden will give you a headache in one half hour.

Sugden by a big margin , Naim would costs under 1k , Sugden 2k plus.

the JBL definitely has a more natural sound in my opinion

Nice Amp, I use the r300 with klipsch forte 3. Sounds great. Not very fat but very clear and crisp Sound. I suggest to change 300b and 6sn6. Using we300b and psvane silver Mark 2 as 6sn7. The tungsol orig 6sl7 is a little sharp on forte. Changed to lin lai 6sl7 elite

Hearing differences from height of microphone and distance from microphone relative to the two speakers positioning far more then any difference in sound of A vs B. The second speaker is set higher and closer to the mic. Put the first set on risers or angled stands and bring them into the room more and I’d bet preferences would shift.

How do think the mc152 handled the 4315? I have the same speakers and considering that amp, but I’m a little afraid for a lack of watts…what’s your opinion?

Nice video! Your L15s are mint. I use these same speakers in my bedroom hifi setup. They’re 39 years old and still sounding fine.

Spendor sounded more intimate to me. Jbl much more upfront . Both are good speakers but will cater to different priorities. I have to say I am suprised the jbl was not filled out by the tube amp in place.

A 4-way against a 2-way and the little ones win hands down......I keep the 4301 first version in alnico.

KO técnico delas Harbeth, es fácil comprobar que altavoz suena mejor solo hay que ponerse unos auriculares y darle volumen muy alto, y ahí es donde se ve las vergüenzas y puntos débiles de cada altavoz, y las Harbeth no las tiene, en cuanto subes el volumen y escuchas las Klipsch dices oh Dios mío que mal suenan.

overall I would choose the jbl but they do tend to a little stridency that could probably be dealt with. I prefer the balance and the spatial rendition. That said both are pleasant loudspeakers. If I got to pic for myself I would jump to a D130 with an 075. thanks for posting.

I love them both. Harbeths have an out of this world clarity but the Klipsch sound more real.

I have herberth SHL 5 and heresy 3 for kasy 5 Heard and Im not able to chose only one😂 Herbert midrange top od top with female voices heresy more live concert.both excelent.

Jbl just sounds more live and real. Spendor was impressive at first, then I heard the Jbl and can't go back to the spendor.. Spendor has a muffled, cupped hands sound compared to the JBL.

I have sl600 over 20 odd years now, they are uncolored and clinical and needs a high current amp to make them sing. ( UK )

L19=$200 and Klisch Heresy iV= $3000 .That's the purpose for the comparison.

How do you find the C15?

The midrange on the Spendor is fuller. Singer is right in front of you, in a very realistic natural way.

Have you had any issues. Skunkie Designs has been giving harsh reviews and talking about problems with this amp. Personally, after one year of ownership, I have had only one problem with a rectifier tube anout 3 months in and it was replaced very quickly by China HiFi. I listen to this amp more than 5 hours a day. Maybe I got lucky. I don't know for sure. Her reviews have almost scared me into selling it. I put another $600 in it for NOS JAN tubes tubes and a pair of Linlai 300b tubes. Honestly I never have to turn it up past 30% of max volume. I switched to my Cambridge Axr85 this morning and my wife wanted to know what was wrong with my amp. She said," the richness, deep bass, spacious/concert sound was missing". She is right....I hooked it back up and the difference was immediately noticable. Nothing wrong with the Cambridge but IMO it pales in comparison to the R300. If I decide to let it go, I'm thinking Decware Sara 300b. Double the cost of my Willsenton and extra tubes, but it does have a lifetime warranty. I originally was going to get the Decware but just couldn't wait 18 months for delivery. 12 months later, that lifetime warranty looks better all the time. Easy to ramble on with this subject. Happy listening.

Spendor SA1 is better.

Jbl less details but the emotion is richer. Klipsch easier to drive, more details, but drier.

I like the 4301s.

I still own P3ESR and sold all my Klipsch. No way Klipsch has the Harbeth accuracy of tone! Even the new La Scalas can't compete except for scale and loud sound. I'm currently looking for my end game speakers. My list JBL 4367 could be too big for my room or Pure Audio project Duet.

what's a point in "testing" equipment with easiest tracks possible? 2-3 musicians in a room with non electronic instruments and a soft voice. it will sound nice on any speakers. it will sound nice on a speaker with a 200Hz-14kHz range. it will sound nice on a speaker with a thin rattly walls (like 70's mass market japanese crap) there is even some jazz records which can be played nice on a speaker with a broken tweeter without you noticing it. and as for amps - wouldn't it be better if you doesn't show which is where and let audience guess? you know. some blind listening stuff which "golden ears" are scared of )))

The JBL sounds much fuller in the midrange. It also sounds warmer and sweeter. A clear winner.

Man the ivs are something else. Some of the best Klipsch ever made imo. Yet some call them the worst. I don't understand the hate. Smooth, warm, open and always dynamic obviously. But something about the Heresey IVs is special. I sold my Fortes awhile back because of size constraints etc. And these are my new favorite Klipsch
