A tip for parents - install the middle child seat first, rather than trying to squeeze it between the outer ones. And keep kids in harnessed seats as long as possible. It’s safer and much easier than trying to do up the seatbelt on a booster.

Well it is now July 2023 and I just purchased my 2023 Model Y long range vehicle. Should be getting the vehicle around end of August, there abouts. I went with all my color selections something OTHER than WHITE. White is the hardest and most noticeable in showing dirt or grime. All these are standard now that I got - Dark midnight silver metallic ext body color, Black seats, and with 19 inch Gemini wheels/tires. Kind of similar colors as my current 2001 Monte Carlo. Still deciding whether PPF is really needed since I live in Northern Illinois. I will get a screen protector and a few other accessories for the Tesla to start out with. Will be using 220 volts for charging the Tesla. I only went with the Standard Auto Pilot, I don't need EAP or FSD. Hopefully I get the HW4 and newer cameras with the 2023 Tesla vehicle. We will see how bad that Phantom Braking is now with the 2023 models. At least I will be ready for it and know it can happen anytime. Just need to be alert on who and how close someone is following me. Thanks for your review. Take care.

You are supposed to put a foam cleaner on the condenser coil when you have the filter out. That’s why it still smells.

Wow, that looks like 10 times worse than with no PPF and the occasional rock chip. I would rather have paint touch up and save 7 grand !

That was a terrible ppf job as a PpF installer, you have to cut all your edges overhang off and then you have to eat your edges I've had a couple people by kits for the Tesla and then call me to come put it on for them

In California Xpel Stealth on a Model Y is almost $8,000 + tax. That’s a ton of cash to pay after just buying an already expensive car! I feel really bad for this guy. That is a horrible install job.

11 months, 13,000 miles. Model Y. Rear tires stating to show radial bands. Terrible. On my 2019 Model 3, got 50,000 miles on my first set of tires.

How do the white seats hold up against the kids and messes?

The 3 is more smooth and quick, way better than the Y, hands down.

It’s a crossover, you can take it to the store and you can haul your kids around, since it’s higher up, it can also be taken off road much more than the model 3 can, I’ve seen both in person a bunch of times and the model Y always catches my eye a lot more, there’s something to the design, the model 3 looks basic and bland

Model YP Just do it. IF/when my Cybertruck (ordered 2019) shows up I suspect the YP will have a nice resale value , helps with the sales tax on the truck ;-)

buy model 3 then buy model y later

I’m about to order a Model Y performance and I just can’t decide. It’s $12k option and as cool as it is, I just can’t see it being $12k worth of cool, or necessary. On the highway adaptive cruise control is really all I feel I need. I drive from Northern Illinois to South Florida and back 2-3 times a year and I still can’t justify it.

Take that shit back and demand a full refund and make them peel everything off.

So I initially ordered my Tesla without FSD, delivery was scheduled to arrive Oct-Jan 22/23. Changed the color from black to white & added FSD, my car is arriving next week now, 1 month from ordering. I called the Tesla dealer & asked why I’m getting it so soon & they said it’s because I added FSD, those orders are being prioritized. Considering the fact that auto dealers are now selling new Teslas at 20 k above list, this is now a deal. Even if you never use it, it saves me 1000 per month $ in gas that I would have paid while waiting for my original Tesla so it is paying for FSD in gas savings.

Hey Murray, I live in New Zealand and we have the rear wheel model 3 with a delivery date for Q4 2022. With recent news of the Model Y likely on its way, do you think I should wait? Me and my partners are in our early 20s and don’t really need the Y for space. The Model 3 would probably suit us best? Would love your feedback!
