THE J GEILS BAND WHAMMER JAMMER LIVE 2/19/09 HOUSE OF BLUES BOSTON REUNION SHOW
มุมมอง 85K15 ปีที่แล้ว
The best live band to ever come out of the great city of Boston is , without doubt, The J Geils band. I was delighted to be among the lucky fans who witnessed their February 19th 2009 reunion gig at the brand new House of Blues in Boston. I almost got caught by security on the way in. The metal detector wands went bezerk when they scanned my jacket pocket. My trusty Casio camera was almost conf...

Once again, I managed to sneak my camera into a Neil Young concert. This is daring, guerrilla movie making, and that is what makes it so much fun. This time, my seats weren't bad, and I had my latest Ebay bargian, a Casio EX-V7 stereo camera, with a 7 x zoom. Enjoy... Share the music TJ Welch

This is part two of two 10 minute pieces. This video contains a great performance, as well as a first person account of the entire experience of going to a concert. I went to see my old band, The Blue Bloods , on 11-24-07 at a club called The Church in Boston. They were playing on the same bill with Gary Lammin, the original guitarist for Cock Sparrer. I bought my Canon TX1 high def camera and captured some of the band's brilliant live show. I talked my friend Al Barile to come out to the show. Al was the founding member of Boston hardcore giants SSD, and ...

Love Boston. One of rock's greatest voices gone too soon. Saw them in Austin, Texas in 90 or 91. Solid until the cop told me to put our my joint.

I saw the Corporate America tour here in Orem, Utah as well and got to meet Brad and get his autograph at the McKay Events Center. Brad stuck around and signed anyone who wanted an autograph stuff. Such a nice guy, I'd have never for a second thought he was going to take his own life. He seemed so happy and I know he was preparing to be married and another tour with Boston when he did. Shocking and heartbreaking was the news. He was everyones friend and down to earth. Only other siger I've met like that was Ronnie James Dio. Rock In Peace Brad and Ronnie...

Thank you for this. What a sweet piece of rock history you have shared. This band has been the sound track of my life and the song More Than a Feeling my anthem. Brads voice is timeless, clear, hypnotic, and his kindness was in every note he sang. Again my sincere thanks for posting this. Tears and goosebumps.

I hate to be the Siskel and Ebert to this but you can clearly hear and see Brad is just not interested in doing the rock thing anymore. You can clearly see he's just doing it as a job and nothing else. He can't barely hit his own high notes. He knows it. If anyone here gets upset at my comments please don't. I appreciate brad and the band. As I too am a friend and fan. Wish he hadn't killed himself.

If anyone is depressed, lonely or thinks they can't go on GET help somewhere from someone. Suicide isn't the answer EVER. Brad whatever reason you decided to stop the pain you are truly missed. We all miss you greatly and are blessed to have you on these videos. Thank you to whomever recorded these. I am ashamed to say I had the chance to see them in 1995 in North Dakota but just couldn't find the $75 for the ticket. I missed seeing him perform these songs live but am happy these are here to enjoy today. RIP Brad. You were Boston.

I spent some time in Danvers at the Institute of Life & Learning in the early 80s I think it was river rd... right down that street was a small marina. Thanks for the video. This proves that he still had his voice and complete skillset. it had not faded away at all.

How could that be possible after this concert and in 4 months he had to leave us,.. I imagine he kept his problem away from us until the last minute because he cares for us. I miss you Brad Delp, I would have shoulder some of those pains you carry so heavy and I can sacrifice too but destiny and fate dictates otherwise and no control over it. Rest In Peace and I will include you in my prayers. Your songs lives forever.

Like (almost) everyone else, this hits home with me, and I completely agree that he had one of the greatest voices in rock 'n roll -- I'm constantly amazed that he doesn't rate in the "top" (whatever) lists. When I moved from Florida to Illinois (December '94), I soon had the chance to see them in concert (May '95), so bought two tickets and went on my way, only to GET LOST. Some years later, they were back in IL again, and the same thing happened. By the time I finally saw them, Brad had passed; I loved the concert, the songs, and the energy, but we all know it wasn't quite the same, and why.

I wasn't fortunate enough to see Brad and the boys I would have loved to see them cuz they were one of my favorite bands growing up I'm actually born and raised from South Peabody Mass so I know the area very well. You probably know new Brother's Deli when they move from EBT to Salem to High Street I go there actually all the time and I remember back in the day when MVP Sports used to be there right next to KFC I used to go there all the time to buy baseball equipment as a child. Anyway brother good to talk somebody local on TH-cam for a change if you have Facebook would like to talk more with you good friend from the North Shore again nice video and hope to talk to you more God bless...

Tom Scholz has been the genius behind Boston... but without Brad's unforgettable voice... that first album may have never gotten of the ground. Why Brad did what he did in taking his own life... to me anyway was so selfish and so sad. Jesus could have turned his life around if Brad had just looked to Him for the answers. Brad was given one of the best voices in rock music bar none. It was a God given talent. I will always love what Boston did for music and till the day I die... I will never forget that amazing voice. I miss you Brad... and I hope to God you're with the Lord right now... because your voice is divine. Thanks to Boston as well as many other bands... I was inspired to sing and play guitar. Suicide is never the answer... you must always seek another way to deal with your problems whatever they may be. I forgive him for it was a stupid thing to do and everyone does stupid things throughout their lifetime... but nothing is worth ending your own life.

Great performance by Brad, couldn’t help but notice, the music was dragging a little. That makes it a lot harder for a vocalist to sing, when it’s not played the correct speed. He still nailed it, one of the best that’s ever got behind a microphone.
