In Murcia authorities do all this invasion of privacy but instead to do that preventing crimes, at least until today in my case, they seem to do that to LET/promote THE CRIMES HAPPENS.

Well I phucking hope that you finally point out the growing dark side of today’s lift, in this one. As a centrist, I’ve been pretty disappointed with you constant take of the right while fully ignoring what todays left has become over the past 20plus years; which is the new totalitarian movement, supporting and pushing every topic of the WEF’s agenda 30 and agenda 50

You know, the propaganda machine is not only the strongest it’s probably ever been, but also the most obvious. Any student could easily write their masters thesis on the topic.

John Lukacs, no lover of Hannah Arendt, but a lover and an original sinner nonetheless, understood, as do the rest of us by now, that the promise of politics has been eclipsed by the tyranny of the marketplace. One example, the Barnes & Noble where I read Promise of Politics and Responsibility and Judgement has been turned into a CVS. I'm not sure what Theodore Zeldin might have to say about this.

As someone who has read Hannah Arendt, I've never understood why she gets the attention she does. I'm sure the Germans like the fact that she never let go of her very odd attachment to German philosophy. Her continued friendship with Martin Heidegger after his career as a confirmed and active Nazi makes everything she wrote, said, did suspect. Eichmann in Jerusalem is a very bad book. She got Eichmann completely wrong, poured venom onto the Judenrats which showed, in my opinion, a moral obtuseness not fitting for a 2d class student let alone someone lionized. And her anti Zionism at a time when the stench of dead European Jews was still fresh in German noses, baffles me. I'm genuinely not trying to be provocative. I'd like to know what I'm missing.

I think that Palestine is the country . Israel was not and is still not a legal state. It is an illegal settlement. Also I wonder how it feels to people who know and went through the holocaust what they feel about what is happening to the poor Palestinians today in gazza and other areas of Palestine. Raise ur voice please

Interesting question: why persist in calling “democracies” our political regimes that don't “trust” the people? (or rather, couldn't care less, but that’s my own interpretation)

Zionism is a trinity: there's jewish zionism with security and survivalist goals; christian zionism with religious goals; and imperial zionism with geostrategic goals. The main goal of jewish zionism initially was the protection, survival and longevity of the jewish people, by building a national home for them, a place where they would rule as the majority. For the protection, survival and longevity of the jewish people, this national home could have been established in other parts of the globe, not necessarily it had to be in Palestine. But christian and imperial zionism interfered and convinced jewish zionism that this national home had to be in Palestine, nowhere else but in Palestine. It wasn't hard to convince them, after all the land was promised to the jews by God himself, so they already had the right to the land by divine law. The british promised the land to the jews in 1917, before the great war was over and before the league of nations came into existence. Now the trinity was aligned, each one with its goals but the three agreeing on the location. The goal of christian zionism is to fulfill biblical prophecies and prepare the way for the return of Jesus Christ. The world will be destroyed, and as written in the bible, only jews that convert will be spared from death. Christian zionism turned Jesus into a merciless, cruel and bloody warrior. The gospels don't matter anymore, there's no more need to spread the news, everything is already set up for the Armageddon. Killing innocents is now justified by christian zionist beliefs. Imperial zionism was initially a geostrategic goal of the british empire: control the middle east and the maritime lanes and passages (Suez, Bab el-Mandab, Hormuz and Gibraltar, which they already had control), and push away not only the ottomans, but also the russian empire that was encroaching the region from Persia. As the british empire declined it was replaced by the american empire, that kept similar geostrategic goals.

Israel's problem, if we assume that the interior is isolated from the exterior, is a moral problem for two reasons. First, because Israel reproduces Nazism, even though it is a victim of Nazism, and this makes the Jew feel ashamed. Second, even when Zionism produced the legacy of its killer, it did not take revenge on its killer, but rather took revenge on other people, the Arabs, who had nothing to do with World War II.

I like sortition and I like what this guy has to say normally, but I feel like some of his definitions are off 1. liberals are not necessarily people who want a sovereign, like Hobbes. They just want freedom to do what they want as long as it isn't preventing others from doing the same. 2. The bourgeoisie are not people that are disinterested in politics, but the owner class that makes money off of natural opportunities and human cooperation that they control via legal benefit from the state. 3. A Republic doesn't mean an aristocracy that wants elites in charge. It just is a very broad category that includes any system that is nominally "for the public."

If Israel succeed to kill all Palestinian or push them away from West Bank and Gaza, what Israeli is going to do? Is Israel is going to build fence surronding the border to surronding countries, a thick high concrete wall to keep intruder out? To build its own ghetto? Isolating Israel from the rest of the world? Or will they plan to extend area of Israel occupying surrounding countries soil to enslaving their people? Without America it is impossible to achieve of course

I am confused here. How is a public school not a public realm? A private school is clearly a social realm. Parents choose to send their kids to private school based on their own criterion, just like a family going to an ethnic picnic. That's why we have a vast network of segregation schools (formed after 1956) in south today. But a public school is for the public and cannot be prejudiced. Arendt's argument and your justification feels very wrong and illogical.

I think Thomas Sowell was close. Jews have been too successful. 25% of scientific Nobel Peace prizes won by Jews. The human race is very envious especially Socialists. I've always found it curious why Jews get drawn to left wing politics.
