Great points! I would advise anyone that wants to start digital with a pen tablet to...not. I drew one year with a pen tablet and my progress felt very very slow. I have switched to pencil a paper for about two months thanks to a course I bought on Udemy and I see that I am progressing faster. So till I nail the fundamentals and drawings no pen tablet for me! Thanks for coming to my TED talk. I also hate alchemist with a burning passion. Most anticlimactic ending ever! I hate that book. Did I tell you that I hate that book? What? Hate is a strong word? Yeah I don't just dislike it. I hate it. Read The Count of Monte Cristo instead. Amazing book. Best book ever!

Is there any article or text for introduction to color theory that you suggest?

I can't draw digitally so I just tried the color picking from the pudding image on your pinterest board. It was so fun and interesting. I'm not sure how I can successfully practice that on paper but I'll search for some video. Will definitely keep up with your channel, it's gold for people like me who are just getting back into it!

I've tried and failed many a times with shading. In fact I was obsessed. Gotta hit em with a fast rule of, don't shade with a percentage opacity brush. Yeah it looks cool it really does i know... but the end piece looks so muddy. Keep that for the concept/sketch stage P.s. that soft brush shading on your truck looked so quaint. it was adorable.

for me, colour theory has always been a complex topic that only the "masters" can truly understand, but bro turns it out its easy as SHIT i love how more and more people are pushing the ideal of practice and actually drawing/painting and trying stuff being so much more important than studying colour theory cause.....come on how can you get better at volleyball without even holding it in your hands and actually playing?? great video silly black and white guy
