    When I flew from Bundaberg to Lady Elliot Island, Bundaberg Airport kept an airport cat (!) called "Cherokee." The cat had a little cathouse at the entrance and wanted to be stroked by the passengers. When Cherokee had caught his last mouse, he got a successor called "Commanche." - Do they still have an airport cat?

I remember being stuck in the spot leading onto the Sirat motorway, that even my hire car driver started to panic, and went another way as we only had about 2hrs & 20 min left before the scheduled departure. We did get there 1hr later. The first time I was departing at 6:30am with Thai Airways to SYD , so it was only a 45 min drive from Pratunam to Suvarnabhumi. If I remember well, it was about a 3-3.5hr flight from Cairns to Mornington Island. I remember stopping off a Burketown & Normanton, can’t recall Mt. Isa . On the flight back 5 days later, there were two police officers that boarded the flight with a detainee in cuffs, ( they May have boarded in Burketown) the sat at the back. The were the first to board & last to leave when we got to Cairns. You can't compare the two airlines when it comes to Lounge access. Virgin have I think 8 remaining domestic lounges which is a complete joke. It always makes me laugh when Virgin people try and enter the Qantas Lounge in places like Cairns. I love pushing past them and telling them the Business Class Lounge for Virgin is the Maccas downstairs. Off you go and stop wasting peoples time - I want my G and T. Singapore Airlines should have been Ansett's replacement - not these clowns selling themselves as a premium airline. They're Jetstar. Actually Jetstar are far better for PAX as they have access to all the Qantas lounges domestically and internationally.

      @@ktsaviation74 Yes, we did a couple of trips with them,they were on strike for one return street so we got a Qantas ex Jetstar A330 for the return,Ipads missing from the seat backs. We have also done the Emirates A380.

    Been flying with VA but haven’t tried the Max 8. Usb port is so useful!

      Yeah, the USB port is a game-changer for sure! The Max 8 has some nice upgrades. Definitely worth a try on your next flight with VA!

    Its funny how airlines pushed their IFE safety videos out, but many of the same operators are now doing away with IFE screens. The result is that safety announcements are a case of peering through seats, down a long cabin, at a small and distant figure.

    i love the max-8 i havent been to perth sine 1986 just after the amercia's cup the international terminal had only just opened and was dead quiet but i guess a lot has changed since 1986 hired the just released nissan pintara had to swap it for another 1 as the a/c in the first 1 wasnt working

      @ktsaviation74 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I also believe the Max 8 is an great aircraft. Perth has definitely changed since, and it's quite busy now with the increased FIFO traffic. Terminal 1 is set to expand significantly, and by 2031, everyone will be using that terminal only.

    I preferred the small dividers they had for business class pre bankruptcy.

      Yeah, I'm not sure why they don't have that. The Max 8 doesn't have a divider either

    Are the max 8's noticeably quieter than the old 737 800?

    • @ktsaviation74
      @ktsaviation74 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Definitely, mate. It's quieter and smoother, with larger overhead bins. Overall, it's a really nice aircraft. It's a shame they had issues with MCAS when they were first introduced.
