Its funny how airlines pushed their IFE safety videos out, but many of the same operators are now doing away with IFE screens. The result is that safety announcements are a case of peering through seats, down a long cabin, at a small and distant figure.

i love the max-8 i havent been to perth sine 1986 just after the amercia's cup the international terminal had only just opened and was dead quiet but i guess a lot has changed since 1986 hired the just released nissan pintara had to swap it for another 1 as the a/c in the first 1 wasnt working

Are the max 8's noticeably quieter than the old 737 800?

Very nice review! Tauranga has a very nice new airport terminal, while the Auckland regional flights terminal lets people nostalgic for the 1960s experience what flying was like in those days.

Can your exit extra legroom seat recline?

I never though people would fly from Auckland to Tauranga as most people I know always drive, as it is not too far away, but I guess it serves its purpose for international visitors'. Great video and background music.

Such a quick flight to Auckland beats driving and sometimes they have the flight for a good price

With economy x do you access the lounge?

The use of electronic devices, including gro pros and the like are prohibited on the tarmac.

i've had MVX twice now NZ5125 and NZ5104

I've flown Air China and Xiamen and, in my experience which includes EVA, JAL, American, and Singapore, find Chinese airlines and crew superior. Xiamen is especially delightful! P.S. Regional? AirAsia, Bamboo, but never Vietjet!

Not being disrespectful, but BNE is YBBN, not YSSY. That is Sydney.3.02 on the tape. The designation, YBBN stands for, Area Brisbane/Brisbane. YBCS-Area Brisbane/Cairns. So YSSY is area Sydney/Sydney. Each state uses the main ATC as home, followed by the airport abbreviation. I will fully apologise if I am wrong after being out of aviation for many years after retirement. But SY for Bne. does not make sense.

I upgraded my Choice fare on the same route to Business by submitting a bid for $115, $5 more than the minimum and was accepted. Plus I got auto assigned 1F. I also received lounge access. Considering the length of the flight I think it was worth it, at double the cost of Economy X. Like you, my flight was also delayed around half an hour. I paid a total of $191 plus $115 = $306 one way in Business BNE-MEL. Thanks for the review.

From what I've read Qantas are creating more turbulence with their "Yes to the Voice" support than anything the atmosphere could produce!
