Made my way through the grind ... now I have to configure it. Thank you for the update video. I spent some time scolling through the stats & options and ended up to configure it like a german heavy fighter. Speed and boost. So climb up (I have the high ground 😉), dive, shoot and ditch. Never try to outturn, because it feels like everything on the map turns faster that this thing. Reminds me a bit of the Horten Ho229, even if I know, that the MB.5 turns faster. Every skilled pilot will take you down in a turn fight. If you are looking fo a turn fighter, I recommend the Messerschmitt Me P.1092 and Me P.110. But this Martin Baker plane is not a turnfighter, it is a speed attacker and comparing it to a Spitfire is leading people into the wrong way. And now go out and have fun with it 😃
Let me take issue with you there. If somebody can make a build work, it's not a "wrong" build. It so happens that the MB.5, in the right hands, is a good turn fighting airframe. It's also my opinion that the high energy characteristics of the plane are relatively weak and hard to use. Thus, for me, it makes sense to build the plane "like a Spitfire" and it works. However, this is not going to suit everybody and they are likely to do better with a high energy build, even if the plane is nowhere near as fast as the numbers on paper suggest it should be. That said, whether you can make it turn or make it zip along, the guns are the weakness of this plane and there's no compensating for that.
@@TheNobleQ Fuly agree! I guess, that is valid for all planes. There is no "wrong" - as long as it works for you. I would like to say, that the MB.5 is just in the middle of everything. A "Joe Average" plane, which will fit in several roles. Like a jack of all trades. But it is nothing special equipped with weak guns and that is the point, where I don't like it too much. High altitude aggressor, mid altitude turn-fighter. It's fine for me, as long as people are happy with it. 😉 And always keep in mind - it is just a game.
