Yeah I definitely learned that lesson. Zip ties and duct tape are a must. If you want to get fancy use Gorilla Tape. Even before the repave, that combination of turns 8/9 and 10 have taken many victims. I was one. Little too hot into 9 and I was in the dirt. I guess that's the reason why there was no grass thereð Now that it's repaved it looks like they change that to be a little better. Turn 8 used to be a tightening sweeper and then a sharp right hook into 9. Now 8 is pretty consistent, and opens a little bit before 9. Gives you a little space to used the brakes.
Amazing video as always. I have a question: is there any way that you can also add which gear you are currently in? Would be great to see what gear you're taking some of these corners.
@dadhats Ah, no worries. I love watching your videos. I have an 86 TRD of my own, and I want to build a track car out of it. So you are a huge inspiration to my future build. ðŦķ
@@dadhats Easy fix. In RaceRender, single click on the session data under input files. Then click the config button and there is an adjust field next to transmission gear where you can then set it to -1 so that it will display 1 gear lower.
track nights are usually $200 I think without their membership. they typically send out $25 coupons too that I always use. and I use race chrono typically but sometimes you'll see me use dragy lap as backup
I'm still using my trusty hero 8! I was considering upgrading but might buy a proper camera first, thinking about doing build overviews at the track since there's so many cool cars every time I go
@@dadhatsIk this is not what your talking about but please never switch to car mounted camera. The helmet GoPro is sooo much better. I hate when TH-camrs use there a car mounted camera for the track
1:54 very good marketing. You literally made your own add in your video ðð love your stuff, keep it upð
hahah hell yea
You make the best track vids with the 86/brz, keep it up
hell yea! appreciate it!
I've gone off there too. Cost me front bumper, splitter, PWR rad, front bumper support and brake ducts. Nice driving as always.
it's crazy. they need to level that area or something in the off season
What camera do you use for these pov drives?
That integra off hurt my butt, that was a pounding ð
Hurt mine too ð
Man I wish I could learn how to track. That looks like lots of fun.

Really cool cars out on track with you
right!

thanks! I've tried to in the past and unfortunately it reads one gear too high for some reason ð

do you have aftermarket final drive or stock one?
it's an OEM 4.3 fd out of a 2017 brz. my 2013 came with a 4.1 fd
I have a roll of aluminum tape thatâs strong enough to rebuild a fender liner and other plastic aero bits. Always comes in handy!
I might have to do the same!
I think you mentioned in the past but I can't remember. Is this BRZ your daily?
technically it's my only car. but I wfh and have access to my fiancee's car when she's not using it. so "yes" lol
enjoyed the vid ðŊ i'm a new bzr owner and looking to do track days soon ð I'm here to learn some shit
If you donât mind telling. How much do you spend on a track night. Also what app do you use for timing?

@@dadhats thank you
I guess when you went off they didn't check your car so good if that was your bumper layong there.
Bummer about the bumper, but it looks repairable. Paint ok?
there's a big ole dent and a few cracks but nothing too bad all things considered!
@@dadhats good to hear!
Do you ever go with Hooked on Driving?
nah they're too expensive imo
@@dadhats could be a good option if you want more green laps and more point bys
@@driver1346 do you know how many sessions you get and how long they are?
@@dadhats 20 minute sessions, and you get 5 or 6 with a break for lunch
@@dadhats btw I ran only .2 seconds different than you in my e36 at Tbolt. Would be fun to get on track with you at some point
A few dollars for some zip ties for next time!
LOL appreciate it!!

Can't you just remove your rear bumper? Or thats a no, no?
I could have if for some reason I couldn't get it secured with the zip ties
