    The Problem with the ring: each move count as a step! So, not useful to count your steps….

      The step count seems pretty accurate to me, but as always with any technology that tracks your steps they usually aren’t 100% exact. Do you own the ring already? ☺️

      I tend to not eat ultra-processed food (never say never though) but I can consume processed foods (chocolate, plant milk, store bought falafel etc). Thank you for the suggestion! I actually had dinner at a restaurant last month and it’s included in the video that’s coming on Sunday this week so stay tuned ☺️ I don’t have my computer with me right now but I also believe that I mentioned briefly what I usually order when eating out in that video. I do eat dessert sometimes at restaurants as well depending on if I feel like it and/or am hungry for more and if they have something interesting on the menu

      Cassia cinnamon, but consuming about 1/2 tsp/day is considered safe 😊

    Ive been watching your videos the last couple of days; just discovered you. I love how you are honest about how things taste and if adjustments need to be made. It's refreshing. I'm not a vegan or vegetarian but enjoy your recipes. I do eat seafood and poultry. Mainly because I need a lot of protein for strength training and being plant based or a vegan/vegetarian would never give me the protein I need without stuffing myself beyond comprehension, and I don't want to constantly have to rely on protein powder; no more than once per day.

    You are like me; you don’t use (a lot of) dressing for your bowls…?

      Yeah 😊 To some people, that might be boring but I genuinely enjoy the food without dressing too, you just have to make sure to add spices etc. so it won't be too bland. I use dressing from time to time but I cook soooo much so I tend to feel like making a dressing is an extra step and at the end of the day I just wanna eat, you know 😂

    One tip i have for my porridge is to add way more water then the recommended amount, it doesn't turn out gluggy and stodgy, it's smooth and creamy, I usually do 1 part oats to 3 parts water

      I usually add extra liquid when I'm making oatmeal with rolled oats, but I've never tried it with steel cut oats. Perhaps I should! :)

    Fyi it has the same effect on blood glucose as regular white bread!but if u r healthy that is not an issue

      There are many studies showing that sourdough bread causes a lower blood sugar response, regardless if it's white or not (just check PubMed). But there are also some studies showing no significant effect (which is very common in nutrition science). I don't like smooth and break but i like any other options :) Your finish says That you don't have buckweat at home inspired me to questions: how many food you have at home ? It intresed me because you tell a lot about minimalizm, zero waste and no wasting food so mayby you teling something about IT? :)

      You're welcome! I don't have buckwheat at home because there's none at the store and there hasn't been for months :/ But pantry staples usually lasts a long time so I always have it at home if it's available!

    For me your recipe on scramble oats is on one person, but i regulary practic yoga and walking a lot, but nothig more ;) What is your working routine? Mayby you talking something about it? :)

      I don't know if I have a proper workout routine, I just try to strength train as many days a week as I have time and energy for (but usually with 1-2 rest days). I want to move in some way every day though so on rest days I might go for a walk or do light yoga or stretching... Or my rest days is basically just days when I'm busy but I'm naturally moving for transport etc. But I feel like I should incorporate more cardio...

Why you feel like that you should? :) I practis yoga every day, as many days a week as i feel that i have energy for it i do ashtanga first series or half first and half second series and the rest of day virasana and walking a lot, because i love it! :)

      It can be difficult to just label food as healthy vs unhealthy. In comparison to legumes, legumes are healthier than seitan since they’re not processed. Tofu and tempeh have gone through similar amounts of processing as seitan. If you can’t have soy, I would choose seitan (and I do eat it sometimes since I can’t have soy), but if you can’t have gluten, choose tofu or tempeh. Seitan, tofu and tempeh are all healthier than a lot of fake meats on the market. Btw, if you’re buying premade seitan, make sure they haven’t added a bunch of unnecessary additives. I but one with added spices only, but it’s a Swedish brand so I can’t recommend it. Hope that helps!

      Cheers...yeah I do have tofu and tempeh as well...yep I think the seitan I buy it's pretty clean...I don't do much fake meat either as it is highly processed... thanks for the head up xo

    Thank you for this video! I ate at similar way :) so you are inspiring me to didn't wasting food but eat in minimalistic way :) But... why you eat froozen barres and veggis when is summer? You don't buy fresh or it's not nessesery? And what you thing about organic food? In my country (i'm from Poland) the dietetision say that organic is'n not better for us and for envirment but it's only more expensiv? What you tell about it?

      @@martabudnik1205 Organic food is usually not 100% free from pesticides but at least in smaller amounts than conventional foods. However, some conventional foods aren't sprayed that much either (google dirty dozen and clean 15). I will likely not be able to film the haul right now but I have added it to the suggestions

    Hi Michaela, before coming across your videos, I always felt overwhelmed by the idea of just coking something on a whim with ingredients you have i.e. not following a fixed recipe and improvising, as a result of which, I resorted pretty often to highly processed foods (frozen pizza, ramen, etc.) when I did not have EVERY SINGLE INGREDIENT for a recipe. Now however, I feel confident in my ability to cook something delicious and healthy with the things I have at hand. I save money and eat healthier, for which I have you to thank. Much love.
