Rammatra isn't immediately openly hostile towards most of the Overwatch cast. That's the biggest reason I think he's not a villain. There are absolutely people he straight up doesn't like but he does actually try to be civil.

I really believe that (from reading the comics) Rein is going crazy due to repeated trauma, and Brig is there to both protect him from the world, but also protect the world from Rein. And Brig is trying to keep Rein's deteriorating mental state hidden from everyone else. Start reading the comics (especially Dragon Slayer) with that idea, and listening to their voice-lines, and you really start to see that.

Honestly i dont understood how blizzard hasnt msde a show of some kind this game has such hreat characters, the dragons cinematic made ne a hanzo main. The honor and glory made ne otp rein cuz i love these characters. Its sad to c how bad they r fumbling this games potential story like imagine a arcane type show following the early days of overwatch ohh what could've been.

Overwatch should invest in something Lore wise whether it’s a story mode, tv series or a comic book. The story is way too good to just be left at little snippets through gameplay.

Before I say any of this, let me just say that I do love Ramattra. Great design, great voice, great backstory. But his characterization actually frustrates me a lot. We see many times, especially in the old cinematics, the severe mistreatment of omnics. In soldier's cinematic, one is literally being beaten apart by street thugs. Mondatta is assassinated by a terrorist group. Etc. Etc. Why did they make the character who is supposed to represent these oppressed people, a villain? I'm tired of champions of oppressed groups being villains in fiction. To me, it feels fabricated, to make a plot that feels complex, without actually having to address any complex moral issues. Ramattra is a villain because of the destruction he causes, not because of what he believes in. You can effectively destroy him without feeling like you've harmed the omnic population in any way. Just kill the big mean guy. Also the whole "enslaving omnics with robotic headcrab things" reads as just so forced to me. This man's entire life revolves around omnic freedom. Violence against humans? I understand that from him. But taking agency away from omnics feels so counter to his entire world experience, it just feels like another way they make the idea of fighting him not complex at all. He's just a violent oppressor, and to fight him you need not grapple with the actual moral state of Overwatch's divided world. I see much more potential in him to be an anti-hero that would end up maybe aligning with Overwatch against Talon (ya'know, the people who assassinated a peaceful omnic leader). I could talk for much longer about why I think this game, sadly, is kind of at a point where its impossible for it to have a satisfying, interesting story that follows through on that original appeal that hooked us when the first game came out, but this is a damn youtube comment and its already too long.

Fax. Though Living Failures is good, Orphan of Kos is pretty good too. I like Laurence, The first Vicar(The ost not the boss) and Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower is good too. I also like Gehrman the first hunter, oh and Terror is pretty good. Can’t lie I love Blood Starved beast ost! Father Gascoigne has great OST as well. We can’t forget the unforgettable Cleric beast and Vicar Amelia music either. All the music fromsoft makes tends to be fantastic.

ramattra hates stupid 80% of humanity who are believes in everything what told on tv and dont have their own opinion - only community opinion. its real statistic, not mine, 80% of people its a herd of sheeps. you know how meetings and football champions makes a lot of fights, traumas and deaths just because if everyone doing this - I need to do this too. its easy to write ANYTHING with ramattra, he can be in any situations, he can be kind to someone, he can laugh, he can be terrified and can be terrifying. he is deeper then just good tracer, he has more realistic character then anyone there, not just "good brother, bad brother"(arcane has this shoot too).
