You only talked abt the fit, but didn't say whether or not it's a good mask- It'd be helpful if you spoke about how effective it is. (I mean this respectfully and constructively)
Dude! This was me a few weeks ago! I have the same lathe & made a 19” diameter lazy susan just like this & it was the biggest thing I turned. It was kind of scary and sanding / finishing was tough because even on the lowest speed it was still really fast.
Question what’s the difference between the weggie boards for table saw and band saw??
great questions. They are just different sizes. thee table saw sled is wider because the table is bigger, and the band saw sled is more narrow, because the table is smaller.
Thanks for the video. Inspired me to make my own.
Heck ya! hope it comes out good!
Would you recommend the lathe that you use?
yes I would. It is frommharbor freight. I would only recommend it though if money is tight or you aren't sure that you want to get into lathe work, its not to expensive. But if you are sure that you ant to get into the trade, I would spend more money and get something A little heavier and better.
Come to Canada, but not Ontario, and enroll in the apprenticeship program.

That's awsome
Hi. I am about to make my first wood pen. I have already made about 20 acrylic pens. The finish I want to use is beeswax.
@@alanhill769 awesome. I would lean towards something that you won’t have to refinish though. Like a CA glue or polyurethane. Pens get handled a lot and with the beeswax it will get rubbed off over time. If you do choose to only use the wax, let me know, I would love to see it!
@@madiradesign Thanks
Where can I buy wedgies? I live in Canada.
@@calbombay5356 check the link in my bio. To my Etsy.
Got to agree. I made one similar and it's great if my segments aren't quite right and I glue them in 2 halves then sand the edges nice and square. Enjoying your other videos, too.
Agreed! Thank you for watching!
Is the any plans for the sled
🌹👏
👏👏
Love me some subtractive manufacturing
Great video man, i've been watching each episode in the series as you release them and am looking forward to PT 4. Thanks!
Awesome! Wow, thank you so much for watching!
Great video series. I appreciate the step-by-step breakdown. I recently bought your band saw wedgy sled and finished my first segmented bowl with it. I’m very happy with the product. Keep up the good work!
Awesome! Thank you for watching and your purchase! So glad you are getting good use out of it!
Bessey (or whatever brand you prefer) angle strap clamps should be in any respectable shop.
Mmmm indeed. Good choice.
Thanks for taking the time and explaining your procedure on how you glue up your bowl! Can’t wait till the next video comes out! Cheers
Thanks for watching! Writing the script now. Hoping to deliver a good video for yall!
Thank you for these detailed, comprehensive and understandable explanations. I really appreciate how much effort you put into the videos. Thank you very much!
Thank you for watching and your appreciation. It really keeps me going!
Do ya think a micro jig set up would work well as well? Like the idea and will be doing such soon
What micro jig? Clamps? Miter bar?
I had this once a long time ago. it was nice, but only downside, it didn't calculate for open segment rings.
True. Did you end up finding one that does?

Great video. You have a new subscriber.
hooray! Thanks you!
Good tutorial video.
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for showing how you set up your saw and cut those segments! 👍🏻 I have a sled like you use to do all my cutting! Thank you for sharing your experience on this!
Thank you for watching! I’m glad you got something out of this.
Nice work sir! Still waiting to use the sled and wedgies I got from you (life has been busy).
@@joeradosevich9393 Thank you! Yeah I totally get life getting in the way! You will get some time soon!
This helps me alot. Many thanks.
Awesome! I’m almost done with part two! So stay tuned!
Ya know, when I have dark days, I tend to look on YT for inspiration so I am doing something not sitting in my own head. Your videos give me inspiration and often make me smile. I appreciate you and your teaching style. Looking forward to your next segmenting video. Going to make your wedgie sled soon. Again, Thank you
Bro. rex, this means so much to me. it fills me with joy knowing that at least one person is inspired and helped by one of my videos! Thanks for for telling me. It inspires me and also keeps me going!

Thanks for the video. With your help I figured out how to attach the adapter to the hose. But how do I connect the hose to my shop vac?
Hmmmm doesn’t come with the right size port? Or try using another adaptor to get it to fit
That was an awesome video! 👍🏻Very informative! Thanks for sharing your experience on this! Plus that calculator will be a great addition too!
Sure thing! Thank you for watching!

WTF🧐
?? Whaaaa?
What about the tears of abandoned children? Pathetic world we live in where animals are treated and cared for better that human babies.
That’s awesome! Next year is my first year teaching middle school wood and metal shop. My students won’t be allowed to use the table saw per district policy but can use the band saw. They like segmented bowls but that many cuts for over 100 students is crazy. Plus the whole goal is the students doing the work. Love your channel.
Oh wow! What a task. I’m sure it will be a blast. Well, if you find student that enjoy segmenting, send them my way! I’ll help anyway I can! Good luck teach!
All of the schools in my area use Sawstop table saws. Not a problem.
A very interesting take. Thanks for sharing. Never thought of it like that
Sure thing! Keep turning!
I appreciate your videos. I've learned enough to make my own segmented bowls, which the cooks in my life appreciate.
That makes me so happy! And honestly, keeps me motivated! Thank you and keep on turning!
Your videos are improving. I had the Same brand and model lathe that you have. Had it for one year. Upgraded to a Powermatic. Really amazing how different they are. Night and day.keep up the good work.
Thank you so much. One day I’ll upgrade. I’m sure it’s going to be awesome!
As I understand it all epoxy is food safe as long as it's not being compromised (ie. cut into, bitten into, scraped, etc.) and after it is FULLY cured, ~2-3 months. I'm not God, so double check me and let me know if I'm mistaken.
