The personification of the colour Beige. Big fan of cinema.
Seems to talk about them more than Games, which is odd considering this is a gaming channel.

The Games I Regret Playing
Do you regret ever playing a video game? Do you believe that video games are dying? You may even think that Red Dead 2 is overrated or that Rainbow Six Siege and Assassins Creed are dying. Are you blinded by nostalgia and went to revisit your favourite retro game only for it to age poorly?
Sometimes we feel like we are wasting our time playing some games. Everyone's felt that way at some point about a game.
With games getting more unoptimised and more expensive by the day, you have to pick and choose wisely. Maybe that game you paid $70 wasn't worth it, unless it is?
That's what I look at in this video, discovering whether regret is inherently a bad thing. Spoiler, I'm not going to tell you here that would be stupid of me.

"Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner." HEAT (1995) - Dir. Michael Mann is the definitive heist film; it's brilliant. Probably top 3 of his films imo. During the Movie tie-in craze in the early 2000's, a small game company called Gearbox Software wanted to adapt it. Helmed by Randy Pitchford, the...

You've seen the news about H2M, don't be surprised, Activision shuts down each and every thing that people like. Let's go back to one of it's earliest cases. Since 2020, all I've wanted to do is make a video on Rising Storm 2. In fact, I've already made one, but it was quite montage-y with no value at all. I wanted to approach it in a different way this time around, similar to an essay or a review, whilst keeping it somewhat interesting and not babbling on for 4 hours when instead you could just play the game yourself. 4 years on from that, I've wat...

Battlefield 1 has by far one of the most cinematic games I have played. Despite its lack of care for realism, it places you at the frontlines to experience the great war first hand; the screams, the agony, you are there to either win the match, or join those in the mud. Its quite cinematic, yet quite somber and sad. It makes you question the great war. Battlefield has has you dive into the grit...

Ready Or Not is a realistic tactical shooter game. It almost feels like a horror game due to the atmosphere and visual storytelling. It's also quite similar to swat 4. I'm glad you liked it :)
This only has a bit under 3000 views?! That's criminal, the algorithm massively screwed you over, this is so well edited and explained. The take away from this goes so much further than just battlefield too, I mean, sound design is massively important to a good game. TH-cam needs to show this to more people.
Agreed what a great video. Hopefully gets some traction now!
I does make me happy that it is reaching people that will enjoy it. At the end of the day that's who they're made for, not me. Thank you both very much for watching, I really do appreciate it. It would be nice if a few more saw it, although I'm not sure if there's a demand for it. Maybe, just maybe - one can hope.
That man bat scared the hell outta me first time when I encountered him in Arkham Knight.
I remember it vividly, it was like 2 in the morning for me. Mild heart attack ensued
Fantastic video essay! The way WW1's human tragedy was portrayed in the game is why the game is still popular, Battlefield 1 is a masterpiece and reminds us how EA screwed up the Battlefield franchise.
I agree, BF1 is easily trading places for the best battlefield game. I was playing it not too long ago. It seems that they have announced a new one, or at least teasing it. I will wait and see until after it has released to judge it. I really didn't enjoy 2042 and it left a sour taste in my mouth. I'm glad you enjoyed this video, thank you for watching :)
Rdr2 made me patient for games and made me be able to enjoy games like fire watch and appreciate storys
Dying light, the beast is not a dlc
Wasnt it originally meant to be a dlc? The script i wrote was quite old.
like unsermountable death and dispear but its pretty
it looks like looking at french art from like the 1900s and earlier
your right about sound design, at the time I was fairly young and I waould have outdoor nerf wars with my freinds and the sounds of the birds and the sounds of the footsteps with gear on monte grappa really helped nail in the imersin as it made me smell and remebert he outside. adding in the violence, and art like visuals it makes it special.
i'm suprised you didn't say anything about why the poppy fields on rupture were there
In all honesty I was sure most people would recognise their symbolism. I did get to reference a poem though. I probably did talk about it in an earlier revision of the script.
Is my favourite game for Arkham Is Batman Arkham asylum
I felt like I needed to watch this seeing the thumbnail, and heck yessss cod zombies and dying lightttt, great video!!! still watching!!!!!!☦️🥰🥰🫡🫡

@rogoo Thank you soo much!!!!!! :))) 🥰🤗👋👋
I am currently playing AC Mirage and I am having fun with it. I did feel a bit overwhelming with all the icons on the map but I tend to get lost in games. Enjoy the small murmurs of chatter in the city. slowly taking in all the moments and fully following the story like a movie. I haven't played Valhalla but I might give it a shot.
Can't say I've ever played Mirage, Valhalla really did put me off any new AC games. That's just me though, it's all a matter of opinion anyway. You probably would like Valhalla if you liked Mirage. You should go for it if youre willing to and form your own opinion. Enjoy finishing Mirage :)
Asylum has the best atmosphere City best story Knight best combat Origins best boss fights
dying light 2 had like literally 0 grind tf u talking about ? also they updated it a ton gameplay is way better now
That might be the case. First impressions are incredibly important however. I was thinking of giving it another go since the reloaded release, but never got around to it as I cannot be bothered going through the story again. Idk I just didn't find it all that interesting.
Well yeah, cus the next one will be Battlefield 2, at least if you adhere to sequential rules
Battlefield 0.5 should be next, set throughout the Napoleonic Wars
Knight is so far from perfect. The batmobile almost ruins the game. Why are the riddler missions, Arkham knight, and Deathstroke fights now tank missions? And the batmobile fights are just awful.
You Forgot Arkham shadow
Arkhan origens
Arkhan origina
Arkhan origins
What about Arkham shadow?
arkham origins might be the best in terms of story. the only thing holding it back, though, is the gliding. it felt really limited.
Editing is top notch
Thank you very much.
Been playing siege with my buddies on and off since release, including currently! I’m at the point where I rarely will play a multiplayer game solo. But I’m happy to hop on with friends at any time.
Same with me pretty much. Any game played with friends is made instantly fun, it doesn't matter how good the game actually is.
I can see where you come from with this list, I would recommend you Dredge, really good indie game.
Thank you for watching :) I appreciate the Dredge recommendation. I just looked and it turns out I have dredge in my backlog, been told a lot of good things about it. May bump it up a few in the list.
Thats why you never play full price for a game. I always don t pay more than 10-15$. That way, if it s bad, i don t mind wasting 10$, instead of 70$
Been there done that. I can't remember the last game I bought at full price, Doom Eternal I think. I like my games cheaper and with post launch bugs fixed.
I honestly think DL 1 is more succesfull than 2 ..... More than 10 years and it still gets updates and events.
I really do enjoy the original Dying Light
Based ranking
For me the gane i regret playing the most , and the biggest disappointment of my life was elden ring , especially after playing all souls games and how much i was hyped for the game , it felt horrible and annoying, felt very blend and unrewarding , felt like a chore rather than a game
You're rather brave for saying this on a public forum. I'm not the person to really comment on souls games as they're really not my thing. Saying that I have played like 70 hours of Elden Ring and I think it's pretty decent as far as things go. I'm awful at it. I do ask though, since your opinion is not exactly common, what elements of it made it bland and unrewarding? Thank you for watching :)
@rogoo tbh i would say that there are very few things that i didn't hate about elden ring , first of all and the one that is most common was how repetitive the game felt , the side content and exploration were very copy pasted through out the entire game , side mission were very unclear and felt stupid to deal with , they aren't that clear in other souls likes but the fact that elden ring is open world makes it nearly impossible to figure out what to do in them without a guide , i did 2 by my own and felt exhausted and annoyed , side characters felt very pointless and had no impact in the game , main characters as well such as malina or whatever her name was , her death or "sacrifice" did not have any impact towards me as a player unlike some games like red dead of god of war , i also hated the bosses and enemies in general , the design itself in stunning don't get me wrong , but the way the game takes its difficulty when ut comes to combat is very artificial, instead of making the difficulty based on unique attack patterns that you need to understand and find a good strategy against, the whole game focuses on enemies dealing way too much damage and taking too little damage along side with delayed attacks and area attacks that were way too common, and imo ruined most the boss fights in the game , they felt annoying rather than challenging , and that sense of relief and achievement after beating a hard boss was nit present simply because the bosses felt like chores , it was feeling like finishing to clean the dishes instead of doing something impressive , this problem was not present at all in sekiro for exemple , each boss was unique and offered a completely different challenge, even ishhin that has 2 versions of him , both were completely different despite being literally the same person , this was not a thing in elden ring , exploration also felt boring since the traversal itself was horrible, torrent was the worst horse i've even had the displeasure to ride in a game , the leveling system was broken and the balance was non existent, instead of needing to get better all you need to do is grind runes for 4 hours and comeback overpowered, leveling up is either not enough or way too much , it's like you level up 10 level and you're still too weak , and 12 levels makes you one shot the boss you were stuck at , which is artificial difficulty and game length, forcing to play more rather than making you want to play more , the only few bosses that were well designed felt amazing , malinia for exemple, she was perfect and i loved that fight to the point where it made forget how garbage her area was , she was the perfect mix between fast and slow , predictable and unpredictable, powerful and balanced , she was amazing , but 99% of the rest of the bosses were way too bad especially compared to her , base game radahn was amazing and my 2nd favortie boss in the game , dlc radahn was horrible since he wasn't hard but very unfair, with attacks hitting you where they shouldn't, too much damage dealt , too little damage taken , too many area attacks , it took me a little less than 30 tries to beat and i hated him , while ishhin took me 37 tries , almost 6 hours in total , yet i felt extremely engaged , and every try i was feeling like i learned something new , avoided a mistake , found about a new strategy, radahn was just killing in 2 hits no matter what and most of the time it wasn't even my fault , many people would say that this is just a skill issue , but trust it is not , because if was i would ha e hated all souls games , i even beat radahn in less that 10% of the tries a lot of people took to beat him , the problem wasn't how much i needed to try , it was that i was forced to retry and hope this time the game doesn't force me to die , the only things that i liked in elden ring were the visuals , they were cinematic and beautiful, but everything else was absolutely terrible including the world due to how empty and repetitive it was , overall i would give ut 2/10 for good graphics and character design
I'm sorry but putting Knight above City is foul 😭
Arkham City is my favourite Arkham game
None of them are below 9/10 at least, you could maybe say Origins but even that is at the very least an 8/10
Arkham city is 10/10 knight I’d 8/10
I'm surprised you get low views ever since the RON video
That's just the way it happens I guess. Perhaps it wasn't the best idea to follow it up with a 50 minute deep dive months later.... I'm glad you're sticking around though, thank you.
I really regret playing rdr2 in hurry about year ago. I just rushed that game and didn't enjoy it. Now I'm playing it again and im so mad at my self that i played that game then, because i ruined my first playthoughr because i didn't understand it and played it in hurry
That's exactly how I felt, I do plan on replaying it this summer when I have some free time, also an SSD so I don't have to watch spaghetti westerns in between loading
I think the gameplay and story should go hand-in-hand which is RDR2's biggest problem. If the story is too good then it creates a problem for the gameplay; it could be viewed as an obstacle. I cannot continue with the story because the gameplay is not good enough, I can't bear it. It is either too easy or tedious and that is why I regret playing it every time. Good video tho
I understand the criticisms the game receives in going for realism so much that it can come off as clunky. At some points during the game I probably felt the same way, luckily in my case it didn't bother me too much.
I view games that take longer as being better value. You get more entertainment time with the money you’ve spent on the game.
Fallout new Vegas can easily be beaten the same day you’ve started the game.
I know it was mentioned in the video, but I find it hard to justify that longer games are better better value. I guess it's all a matter of opinion. Like for me, there's no world where AC: Valhalla is better value compared to Blade Runner (1997) even if they were the same price. There's another factor to consider, Fun. If that super long game was 100 hours of agony, is that value? Is that linear narrative game that tops out at 4 hours but is thrilling the entire way not good value? Obviously these are extreme examples to make my point sound better and its a very subjective topic to begin with. I do understand where the value=time spent argument comes from though, I just don't think of it that way. Thank you for watching the video and sharing your opinion :)
Not always , when the length is engaging and fun then yes , but if it 100 hours long but if the story is badly paced and half the game is collecting random items then no
2k views is wild
In a good or bad way?
@rogoo in a bad. you deserve a lot more
Thank you :) Maybe someday it will change. That would be interesting
Honestly Dying Light 2 is my favourite zombie game. It had the same kind of release as cyberpunk, a lot of potential but ruined with a load of glitches and bad gameplay, but like cyberpunk, it got a load of updates and now it's absolutely amazing to play. The parkour has been improved drastically, the pve is now polished and most of the bugs have been fixed. The grind isn't even necessary, you get most skills by just playing the game and completing the story.
Cyberpunk is one of my favourite games ever made, then again I was a fan during its release because I loved the story. I might dying light 2 another chance one day. It's not light I hated it, it just didn't feel like a successor to the first for me.
1. Arkham City 2. Arkham Asylum 3. Arkham Knight
I agree, dying light 2 was horrible
I don't think it was horrible, just a step down from what it could have been.
@ nah, I was so hyped after dying light one. I paid full price on release day only to play as a wimpy Aidan who had no military background, always tapped about Mia, and plus, you couldn’t kick enemies as easily.
RDR2 cost me 40 dolars and was one of the most slow and boring game I have ever played 😡
Fair enough
Valid
So U have no patience to the point where U can't appreciate a masterpiece
Games dont respect our time anymore, especially since the ubisoft open world formula got popular, moet games nowadays are made to make you put more hours in it, playing it more means there is a higher probability of spending money on it, they are made to make money not to be fun
I understand where you're coming from. Most popular games maybe it applies to, not so sure about smaller scale more focussed titles though or ones without microtransactions.
I regret that this video is in my feed for some reason
You could just press 'not interested'. 👍
i don't blame you for disliking red dead redemption 2, when i played it for the first time i literally feel asleep, when i played it for the second time somehow it became my second favorite game, i understand why you wouldn't like it because the game isn't for everyone and that's totally fair
I didn't dislike it per se, I got fatigued. The main story is utterly brilliant, and from the side missions I did I found it great. At some point I started to get a bit bored with it, and that led to me rushing through it. The insanely long loading times on a HDD didn't help either. I do get peoples criticism of the game and its pacing, but 6 years on I can guarantee I wouldn't have an issue with it.
We share the same emotion at two games from your list I also played. Other games you mention I skipped so can't say anything about those. To me, both AC:Valhalla and RDR2 were so painfully boring, I had to force myself to continue playing those two just to somehow complete at least the main story (usually I do every side content in games). Sorry to anyone who loved these two games, but after a first few hours, nothing was fun any more.
The difference is I actually really liked RDR2, I just got fatigued during it and sped through it as opposed to just coming back to it another day. Valhalla on the other hand may well be my least favourite game I've ever played, and I don't think I could ever give it another chance. Incessantly boring and mundane, a full time job under the guise of a game.
Great video
Thanks for the kind words
have you played black ops 6 im curious what u think
I've played it a fair bit. The SBMM is a bit tedious at times and they seem to be taking many missteps at the moment regarding zombies and the whole great AI replacement. Other than that I think the zombies is the strongest it has been in a while, and I will be there for the easter egg on the 28th.
pretty bad vid
Thank you
@@rogoo Based comment, good video.
I can understand the per hour mentality but honestly it’s about the overall experience and memories or take away for me. A game that I will remember is always more valuable than a game that I will forget in a week
I agree wholeheartedly, that's why I'm such a fan of linear narrative games with super strong stories.
@ Yes! Exactly. Multiplayer games can be fun but they end up feeling like a waste of time to me and I hate that feeling tbh. Each to their own. In reality at the end of the day gaming is mostly a time waster and it just depends on how you spend it. But I prefer single player story rich experiences. Also I just suck at multiplayer games so there’s that too lol
Don’t really see myself playing AC Valhalla but I keep getting recommended it from friends like it’s a great game or something lol
I guess it's a matter of opinion really. Most of my friends like it but I absolutely couldn't stomach any of it. Only way to truly know if you'll like it is to try it.
@ true that! I’ll get around to it at some point but it’s not at the top of my list fs. Even other AC titles are higher on the list
@@micshazam842 interesting thank you for your input I appreciate it
