Beautiful chair, love the quail material! 😍
Hi thank you for the video, new subscriber! I am wondering if using shredded memory foam for the back cushion is ever recommended. It seems like it might be springier or bounce back well?
We used it a while in my uncle’s shop when he had a shredder. IMO, it is less durable over time.
@@MarksUpholstery thank you!
Fantastic work! Thank you for sharing. I'm interested in having custom furniture made and would love to know how I can get in touch with you. Thank you!
Is there an easy way to repair a broken dining chair where they used cork instead of wood and it broken?

Hello, I am 30 years old and I am starting my upholstery business. I am very passionate about your work, and I am very grateful for your content. You can be sure that this craft will continue for many generations to come, until the end of time. A hug!
Yes it will👍🏼, thanks
Luv it
Thank you appreciate it so much
I'm over here trying to work up the courage to recover two armed dining chairs and watching this Lord of Upholstery Fabric Magician Extraordinaire work absolute magic on this wingback has utterly intimidated me! lol! It's friggin' beautiful and I am way out of my depths here! 🤣
Wow, that’s mind blowing 😊
Great Video! Thank You SOOO Much!! I purchased a pair of swivel barrel chairs. But when I opened the box I had to attach the swivel base myself. I saw the 4 holes pre-drilled in the bottom of the chair but I could NOT figure out how to access the bolts to tighten them. I searched how to assemble base for this brand of chair but no luck. (and the store was closed so no help there). Found your video and decided to watch how to assemble from scratch. Now I see how to use that pre-drilled hole to access each bolt. I feel kinda dumb now but still very happy!!!! Clear, precise instructions. thx
Beautiful job
What a transformation. Great work. I know this is an old video, but what's the material on the back of the sofa? So many cheap sofas have such a loose back and that drives me crazy. The back of my sofa is open and gets stretched out when people stand behind it.
helpful !! thank you!!
Still watching all your videos. If you only knew how much I've learned watching your techniques. I'll never be at your master level but Im getting pretty dang good! Thanks so much!
Thank you 🙂
3:00 I usually loop both twines around the button a few times before finally locking it with knots. Love your videos by the way.
Thank you for another excellent video!
Thank you Mark!
Excellent! Thank you!! What type of wood was used for the seat square?
@@iluvhou I used 5/4 poplar 1 1/8x 1 1/8 and 1/2 plywood. Any 1 inch square or 2x2 from the box stores will work.
Whre are you based?
Tulsa, Oklahoma
Very well explained. I watch DIY and home improvement videos and half the time nothing us explained. Great work
Thank you! Exactly what i needed to see! My couch is looking great again!
Ok, but that's the way you do it, and I respect that. Me: I will do an invisible zipper..
Great fun watching you do this ottoman
Thanks ...this video was so helpful
Sir where are you from. I am indian

I liked your video. Especially the bits of humor tossed in!! Keep up the good work!
our back cushions have this problem. when I opened them up, I found the insert (inside bag) is not broken up into sections and instead is just one big bag.. I've tried adding additional stuffing into them over time, but that either makes the too fat (and they don't maintain their height) and/or it just compresses down over time. My guess is one the the challenges I have is the fact that the insert is not broken up into 3 or more separate pockets.. Do you agree that that this is the problem? if so, is there a way to buy or make replacement inserts? Or do you have other suggestions?
If you intend to use the cushions for a few more years, it may be worth having a shop make sectioned ticks.
Great instruction and video!
Why to have pockets in cushions? Is it better than one pocket?
Most cushions should have 3. This keeps the fill from compacting to the bottom
@@MarksUpholstery thanks a lot. Mine are all saggy because they don't have channels. Thanks for information
Great job
Wow
Thank you for such the thorough instructions it is greatly appreciated
Mark, just do my chairs for me please! You are really good at this!
Looks awesome!
Great job! Thanks for sharing.
NIce!
Looks amazing !
Where i can that white part in which you filling that fibre cotton mine sofa cushion white thing is tear apart i need that white thing inside cloth!
Most upholstery supply stores. It’s basically a white cambric. Also known as white accord non woven
How do you fix couch cushions with marshall springs inside the foam? The springs are in good shape, albeit the cloth surrounding springs have a few tears, but not enough to worry about. Should I re-build the foam boxing or just replace the top and bottom foam with a firmer foam? I love to sit on a cushion that are built this way - it reminds me of the more comfortable furniture from "back in the day." If you have any advice, or a link, let me know.
I personally stopped making inner spring cushions years ago. I either regrown and wrap them or replace with solid foam
I either recrown and wrap or replace with solid foam.
Thank you for these videos! Has really helped motivated me. Simple, easy to understand, and really feels doable. I just finished fabricating a mudroom bench, next I'm making the cushion. Thank you,
What kind of stapler and staples do you use? Also what kind of cutter is that? Thank you!
I use an Ace Clipper Stapler. The foam saw is a Bosch, thanks
Thank you for sharing this information, the chairs are amazing and I love the fabric.
Wow I had no idea welting was hot glued like that! 😮
I love this guy!!! Especially at the end :) Seriously this was great.
Thank You very much for that video 🎉 I managed to fix my 5 large sofa pillows. Thank you.
Great video! What I want is to add rocker action to my new Pride $2k power lift chair. Any ideas?
I’d have to see the chair. There are metal swivel rocker units, but I couldn’t tell you they are suitable for your chair
It will help us know the name and sickness of the materials
FYI, some Dacron fills are slick and silky feeling while others are rough and clingy. You should consider replacing fills that are not slick and silky in texture.
Can u share the details of the nail gun ur using
I use Rainco staple guns. #7 staples 3/8 crown. 1/2 inch for webbing and thicker fabrics
