Very nice work!
The sounds 🤤😊
Leather sheath is what I call my foreskin.
Intresting❤❤
Awesome project! Turned out great!
This is a nice little leather knife. We shared this video on our homemade tool forum last week 😎
Can I cut a pizza with it?
Yes
Wow🤩This is great!
Thanks!
Are these sold anywhere or is this custom made?
That is a round knife (as the description and the texts says), it is sold anywhere and it's used for leatherworking and textile manufacturing but I'm sure they are used in more stuff like food processing.
It is a traditional design for a leathercraft knife. You could probably find something similar listed on almost any online shopping site.
Good to see I’m not the only one dabbling on the kitchen counter with wood and random crap found at the fossickers.
Nice little awl. We shared this video on our homemade tool forum last week 😎
Good work. We shared this video on our homemade tool forum last week 😎
Good job. Leatherworking tool builds are somewhat rare. We shared this video on our homemade tool forum last week 😎
Amazing craftsmanship.Keep it going
Honestly great video keep up the good work!
Good job bro very hard work 🧐
Thats awesome, keep up the good work
I am going to use it for knife handles. I need it to have a small width so it fits inside a small drilled hole.
OMG, puh-LEEEEEEZE, bolt that vise down! It's driving me crazy! Otherwise, nice vid. Crude, but I like it. Thumb up.
Hahah, I plan on making a workbench soon. I will make sure to get a decent vice.
Hi, great to see hand tool work. I have made a lot of 7.5mm ply boxes for tool totes (USA term) . Instead of pin nails I used 2.5mm bamboo skurs at 45deg across the corner in pairs about 50mm apart. Mostly I fit a Reinforced base. Cheers Phil
Very cool!
What is a broaching tool for?
I made it to open up handles for tools and knives. It is a good tool for making a hidden tang knife slot (something I plan on doing in the future).
@@mr.dabbler oh cool. That Makes sense now. 😎
@@regular3dguy830 A similar tool also called a broach, is used to turn a drilled or bored round hole in metal into a square one, or hex, or whatever. Each row of teeth is a quarter thousandth or so bigger than the last, going more and more into the corners, and it is usually pushed in a press, There are also rotary broaches that are deliberately misaligned with the hole they are broaching, and as the part and the tool are turned in the lathe, successive corners receive pressure in turn and are cut. That's one way to make socket head screws in the home workshop. The most liberating skill of all, for the home machinist, is the making of specialized tools for special purposes. With a little high carbon steel and your imagination, you can make the stuff you need to make just about anything else.
Nice work.
Excellent!
woods name plz
The wood is "peroba-rosa" (Aspidosperma polyneuron)
Tasty 😁
I am extremely impressed by the scoring knife and the bread too!! I hope you don't mind, but I am going to take that design and make a few myself! My siblings all love to bake as well as my cousin's husband, and I know he would love one of these. I love the detail you put into the brass section that the blade sits in. You are a creative guy! Thanks for sharing your ideas with us.
Wow, I'm very impressed with the outcome of using limited tools. A great example is that you do not need a room full of tools to make items. And the hair test at the end is very impressive!! Subbed!!
I cringed at using a bradpoint drill as a centerpunch on metal. the plane turned out very nice. in other grooving plane videos,i noticed they cut the chip relief hole and put an angle on the tip of the wedge piece near the cutting edge to turn the chips outward. that should be easy to do on your plane wedge.
I was wondering about the counter sunk holes with the round head screws. Reminds me of when I was starting out
Its called a chasing hammer not an engraving hammer, seeing I used these for thirty years .
That cut near the end scared me I thought you were gonna cut it off and not show it in action
Like my artist friend always says...'mistakes into masterpieces!' Really cool piece. You could even style it with an Edison bulb or rustic lampshade to really make a statement!

Glad someone still uses a spoke to shave wood!
👏👏👏👏👏👍✌️

Now THAT'S what I call sharp! Vol.1 cause nobody really tries to go beyond chisel sharpness on this platform
😮
Its not an engraving hammer its a chasing hammer. Very nice work either way
Real nice job! 👍

Any clue what the metal is?
