I watched Boys Planet week to week with my mum and we were both very disappointed by both their debut and albums. I love them and support them but the concepts do not suit them at all. I expected them to have concepts like Ateez, Stray Kids or Monsta X, they can be very powerful, boycrush and sexy. But nope... is all...cuty bubbly :S is kinda infantilizing them

While I like Jelly Pop, I am not fan of cute bubbly concept. I think the trouble is that there's no one concept that goes well with all of them. But I agree that at first both albums seemed run of the mill kind of music. Now that I listened to the songs more feel a bit differently about them but I get what you mean. But all in all why can't we allow them to look for their concept. I mean I am not sure if they will be allowed that by the company freely. But I saw that Ricky and Gyuvin are practicing writing songs. Gunwook already presented one to Gyuvin. Take my hand has some vibe to it.

I really don't know why people expect them to stick to one sound... Like they have just 2.5 years (We pray they extend it), they should try a variety of concepts and styles in this short time (i also feel the same about Kepler). Maybe some of them will re debut or not, but this part of their lives should be fufilling. They are idols, they need to try new things. 1. I can understand that you didn't like their debut because (like you) I was expecting a Jelly Pop 2.0, but at least it exceeded our low expectations Why? THEY ARE UNDER WAKEONE. You can't expect the debut of the year from a company that doesn't innovate in music. 2. "The greates thing about your debut is the thing that isn't even yours" It's a sample, not a remake. Most of the artist use samples. Saying basically that 'In Bloom' is a korean pop music of 'Take On Me' is absolutely WRONG. 3. 'Melting Point' has both positive and negative qualities. One of the most vocal negatives is the dance break sound of 'Crush' and I'm not going to deny that I don't like it either, but as the days went by I came to appreciate it. However, for a first comeback it's fine. Among its positive qualities is the musical improvement in the songs on the album. They're more well constructed than on 'Youth In The Shade'. The quality of the MV improved and they wrote a story. They have a lore. It's not trash either. We'll see the real development on their second comeback. W1 is so incompetent that they are obviously trying to experiment and choose which one suits them best when they ALREADY HAD THE ANSWER ._. Anyway, yes the music you consider generic is because of W1. Sadly Zerobaseone isn't going to get away about that and we knew that all along since they came under W1 management. I really hope they can risk a little bit at least to do something innovative. 4. To say that only teenage girls are crazy about /support them is very selective. There are endless types of people who support them. 5. Of course the Boy Groups also have to develop their lore, otherwise it would be boring.
