When porn becomes a problem
Regulated porn use within healthy adults is not a
problem.
It only becomes a problem when a person feels that they cannot do without
consuming it or when it reaches addiction levels.
It is not officially classified as a behavioral addiction in DSM-5.
But it has the same problematic behaviors like other addictions.
Hypersexual disorder:
Cybersex
Excessive masturbation
Use of phonography
Telephone sex
Visit to sex clubs etc.
Prevalence is 3-6%

What is Countertransference ?
มุมมอง 4.8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Transference and countertransference describe two commonly occurring scenarios within a counseling relationship. Both transference and countertransference represent the manner in which the client acts and feels toward the therapist and vice versa. Transference and countertransference can both be powerful tools in therapy if used appropriately, but can also be harmful to the therapeutic relation...
How does transference work | Psychoanalytic Theory
มุมมอง 1.5K3 ปีที่แล้ว
#transference #countertransference #psychoanalytictheory Transference occurs when a person redirects some of their feelings or desires for another person to an entirely different person. One example of transference is when you observe characteristics of your father in a new boss. You attribute fatherly feelings to this new boss. They can be good or bad feelings. As another example, you may meet...

The Defense Mechanisms | Psychotherapy
มุมมอง 6143 ปีที่แล้ว
We all have thoughts, feelings, impulses, and memories that can be difficult to deal with. In some cases, people deal with difficult feelings by utilizing what are known as defense mechanisms. These defense mechanisms are unconscious psychological responses that protect people from feelings of anxiety, threats to self-esteem, and things that they don't want to think about or deal with. The term...
History of Defense Mechanisms | Principles of Psychoanalysis
มุมมอง 3133 ปีที่แล้ว
The concept of the defense mechanism originated with Sigmund Freud (1856-1939) and was later elaborated by other psychodynamically oriented theorists, notably his daughter Anna Freud (1895-1982). Defense mechanisms allow negative feelings to be lessened without an alteration of the situation that is producing them, often by distorting the reality of that situation in some way. While they can he...
What is Defense Mechanism | Principles of Psychoanalysis
มุมมอง 3993 ปีที่แล้ว
Defense mechanisms are unconscious strategies whereby people protect themselves from anxious thoughts or feelings. Defense mechanisms aren’t inherently bad they can allow people to navigate painful experiences or channel their energy more productively. They become problematic, however, when applied too frequently or for too long. The concept arose from the work of Sigmund Freud and his daughter...
FAIRBAIRN’ SIX EGO POSITIONS
มุมมอง 7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Fairbairn posited six ego positions or inner voices, or 3 pairs: The Whole Ego relating to the Good Object, is the healthy inner child relating to the patient and nurturing inner parent. This is the part of the inner world that object relations therapists try to expand and grow. The Antilibidinal Ego relating to the Bad Object is the depressed, angry, or hopeless inner child relating to the rej...
Paranoid Schizoid Position And Depressive Position
มุมมอง 16K3 ปีที่แล้ว
According to Klein, both the paranoid-schizoid and depressive positions were important developmental functions of the ego, and infants normally experienced them during the Oral and Oedipal stage. Remember here, that Freud said that the oral stage came in the first year of life and the Oedipal stage came much later around the age of 3-6 years. However, As mentioned before, Klein disagreed with h...
Melanie Klein's Projective Identification
มุมมอง 16K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Klein used projective identification as a defense mechanism to protect the ego from anxiety. Imagine that as an individual, you have certain ideas about yourself that are intolerable to your ego and superego. You use the mechanism of assigning that intolerable feeling to another person, thus successfully portraying another as “bad” and protecting your own idea of yourself. This is essentially w...
Melanie Klein’s Object Relations Theory
มุมมอง 32K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Klein agreed with Freud’s psychodynamic structure of the mother-child relationship. But she theorized that it actually began much earlier in infancy or the first few months of life as opposed to later in life as Freud posited. Freud proposed that the “object” or mother was mainly used to satisfy drives of hunger and survival. But Klein disbarred. She felt that the object was used to form relati...
Historical facts and Origins of Object Relations Theory (ORT)

He emphasizes the importance of what he called “Regressum ad uterum” or “uterine regression” This means a regression or desire to return to the comfort of the womb. The womb or mother are seen as the “primary object of love” However, ...

People who are healthy do not project negative emotions onto others because they are self aware- only unhealthy people project - a healthy person is most likely to project something positive if they do it at all - ok ??
An amateur here but if this is science of that degree of accuracy these MUST be tackled in childhood meaning these MUST not be allowed to be developed into a full blown up kinda stuff of whatever degree. A chartered accountant from India,88671 Sorry if it's a botheration.
This lady's tone strikes me as a bad object...😮💨😮💨
Good presentation but did not talk about significance of ambivalence and the "capacity of concern" in the depressive position.
This video contains a lot of misinformation. E.g. Patients with chronic health conditions receive on-going CBT via the NHS in conjunction with their clinical treatment if requred, and CBT became populare after the mid 20th century following behaviourism, where it was acknowledged that language learning is innate, not learned, in humans, and therefore the empirical nature of Skinner's behavioural theories was shown to be limited in terms of its ability to deal with consciousness, and self-reporting (linguistics) of thought processes. Equally, Freud and arch-Freudians' theories have been shown to be vitally flawed over the years.
So beutifully explained . Loved your projective identification video. Got so much clarity. Psychology should be a compulsory subject in school from at least 8th std till graduation. How can it be an option? This is what real life is all about. .
Why would you start off your presentation with talking about the Wikipedia entry of all things
I need to talk to someone . With respect.... Why. I can not stop making love and my partner is worried. I think I need somebody. But what about the one l love?
Loved this! Where can I find the source?
Ma'am please keep making these videos
Mam are you thr daughter of niraj ahuja?
Ma'am could you make a detailed series about Carl jung? I think he is very underrated
From a physiological standpoint. Does the mother produce oxytocin during this period?
Unfortunately the fast spoken dialect makes it difficult to understand
Excellent video, why isn’t this shown to ALL new parents? Or taught in schools? On another note, it’s fascinating to parallel the schizoid & depressive positions with NPD and intimate relationships. You can see the infantile responses in this psychological analysis, & you see the emotional stunted mess of the adult narcissist. New subscription. Thank you 🙏
I'd bet that these personalities are acted out in each and every "romantic" relationship we experience, too - all throughout our lives. This is the reason that psychology and treatment is necessary if we want less chaos in our lives. 🥴😵💫🤓

Melanie Klein, also focused on early childhood development and believed that the mother-child relationship begins in the first few months of life, emphasizing the importance of the first year.
Sigmund Freud proposed that the foundational mother-child relationship develops during the oral stage, which occurs roughly from birth to around 18 months of age.
I really like the way you explain things and your voice, very pleasing. Thanks for all your posts - I’ve learned a lot.
I have a problem understanding defense mechanisms - isolation Also, how does it work in ocd

Sie haben nichts verstanden.
When I learned this theory, I thought it was one of the most profound theories about what creates human personality..' Why? just as the slide says, " this stage permanently affects the person's attiude towards possession and towards authority..." No one else in the history of human kind has ever theorized such a fascinating idea.
I agree!
My favorite pornhub very wonderful 😊😂😂
Thank you for this
Where can we find this form shown in the video?
?
Conclusion of what u said?
Freud was a perverse deviant person who belived parents wants to sleep with their children just because they play hide and seek. And that a son wants his mother and see his father as standing in the way. None are even close to the truth. Hide and seek are game we do on instinct from when we livet in the Wild and had to learn our children to hide for example predators. And the reason a son see his father as competition at some point is not because he wants his mother but because all males are sizing echother up and compete at some level booth in and outside the group
Horrible explanation
Mam what about ERP for hyper sexual obsession
Man this is good
great work mam
Klein’s thesis underscores her own psychological/emotional impairment. I suspect her theory was a criticism or diagnosis of German methods of child-rearing during her time. Wealthy German mothers held back breastfeeding and had nurse maids to take their places. Children learn to self-sooth by sucking on their thumbs. Unfortunate that contemporary therapists take studies seriously on such fragile examination
in my humble opinion you must also look at the drama triangle.
Some call this the BS test.
Jung would not like your use of "believed" as to him.
thank you!!
Well, that explains it all.
Very helpful, thank you!
Well explained, insightful and truly entertaining. I appreciate the insights.
