This channel is all about chronicling my fishing adventures in North Carolina. I primarily fish the Yadkin River Chain but enjoy going to the coast any chance I get. I hope you all enjoy.

I own that same pole I run it off a pontoon boat, the only problem I’ve had is that bracket at the bottom, not staying tight
I’ve had that same problem especially in current
Thanks for this. I chuckled while watching because I've done the same thing with other epoxy products using an old bin and a plastic spoon.
Looking for a tower I have the exact boat. Are you still selling the tower? I know its been awhile
Nah that thing sold quick
Which one holds more line
fish eastham creek lowland nc use storm swimbait baby bass color cacth alot of puppy drum trout flounder only color i use alittle ways from re mayo by boat
Is it catch and release only here?
No you can keep 4per person a day over 20inches
Do you still like your sea hunt 22 box?
Best boat I’ve ever ridden in and I’ve spent a lot of time in a majority of the big brand bay and deep v boats
What do you think about the kastking round baitcasters
I’ve never used them personally but I have some friends that have them and seem to like them
@@lookingforthenextbite178 ok thank you I just can't afford a lot of them so I am trying get a good one that I can afford
what kind of boat are you running? thanks
It’s a sea hunt bx 22 I have another video on my channel
Sorry actually this boat is a scout
Great video! What month of the year was this ?
September
Chinese VS Swedish made reels. Personally I'll take the Swedish built reels.
What time of year was This?
May
@@lookingforthenextbite178 might have to run out there soon then
It’s about that time
Great video, how is winter fishing over Hobucken NC?
I’ve never tried it down there
What time of the year was this?
Early June
Yup, a toothie son-of-a-gun
Hey man, great vid, nice double, new subscriber! I saw you at Lake Norman this week. Just made it back to Pittsburgh.
Nice to meet you
I love Stradic. But I must admit I love Vanford even more🔥
They are both very nice
Muskie
I own a Stratic about to buy a Vanford
"Feels like a flounder." Usually ends up a nice trout! Lol. Nice video, bud. Hope you're on em already this year up there. I need to hit the road and join my inner banks bros. Looks like that day was dialed up for speckled trout, too.
I actually just got back from a trip down there two days ago, I’ve posted a few shorts from the trip and hope to have the full video up within a week. It isn’t quite on fire yet, but it was a decent trip non the less. I’d say as soon as it cools down they will be on fire.
Lure?
I’ll be posting a full video on the trip. It was a lucky craft jerkbait. I’ll show the exact one in my full video.
What the hell man, that's alot of crappie! I have had such bad luck fishing these last couple years.
I fish the Yadkin River changes in North Carolina, the crappie fishing is pretty great here
@@lookingforthenextbite178 I live in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. Fishing used to be great here I don't know if it's something I'm doing wrong or if all the lakes are just over fished.
Good video.
Thank you sir
Wow
Every cast
great vid. i fish up there as well
Glad you like it
Good job! nice video. I like your landing net secured to the side of the boat. What are those clips and where can I get some? TIA.
I’m not sure who makes them , that was a friends boat.
Piscifun 50 xs and the lews sc 600 look almost identical. Lews whole just little more line.
They do look similar
Nice!! Them docks have been pounded since opening day.
Live mullet are the best. Throw em right on a carolina rig 🔥🔥🔥
which one for snook, tarpon, and reds?
I believe that either one would be a good option. I think the saltist back bay has a stronger frame and may last longer in heavy salt exposure.
Could you get away with using the stradic in the surf (say you throwing lures from the beach but not actually knee or waist deep in the surf) and not have much issues, if you rinse off after ever trip?
I would not use the stradic for heavy surf fishing anytime I have used it there I have not been wading. If there is any risk of submerging or heavy salt spray I would go with the back bay. The back bay is sealed, the stradic is not.
Leave for leaser
What is the size of that daiwa
3000
Thanks Bro
Isn’t that Stradic fl 4000 is similar the size of Daiwa 3000
@@aroshanrai5213 on the traditional Daiwa reels like the regular saltist they do run big but on the back bay models they are comparable to Shimano size. My 3k back bay is the same size as my 3k stradic.
Do you have a hard time breathing? JW cuz it sounds like you do
Sure hope you took a camera today….I saw pictures. lol 😆. Congratulations
What do you think about that MHC?
Unfortunately I forgot the mount for my camera and couldn’t use it today. I’m about to order several MHCs they worked great.
I own at least a dozen abu's from 4500's and 4600's all the way up to a couple 7000's. Abu's are great reels with a lot of "aftermarket" parts to really step up the performance. But at about $140-170 for the 6000 series reels, the abu's have priced themselves out of their "niche" as an affordable even under priced tough reel. I just can't pay $150+ with tax for a reel that has 3+1 bearings and 15# of drag.....especially if I'm going to put $75 worth of ceramic bearings and better drag washers in it. The C3's and C4's produced today are the same design as the reels made 20 years ago and are made with more chinesium parts now than ever before. I just can't justify buying more abu's when lews or kastking or other import reels are built almost exactly the same and for a better price.
Love my abu c-3’s. As far as the spool release button goes, you have to roll the pressure off the spool to release the spool so you don’t accidentally disengage the spool while fighting a fish. Also abu just raised their prices. Great video!
Should've just bought the lews reel an spent the cash from the Abu Garcia reel on some man shorts lol
Great video man.Alot of great info .Does the lews cast well?
Cast just as well as any of their other baitcasters
love me some crappie fishing
Trout are still biting back east. Awesome video!
Oh I know, I’ve been trying to get back down that way but haven’t been able to.
Water is cold, but they are still healthy and happy!
@@whistlingwings83 where are you fishing for them?
@@lookingforthenextbite178 Belhaven
Great video bro, keep up the good work!
Thanks man glad you enjoyed it
You should have put a small pies of plywood under the big hole and screwed it in from Belo. Marinetex isn't structural. When your gorilla tape falls off so will the Marinetex.
I removed the gorilla tape after the marine tex harden and it is sitting there just fine. If it were a larger hole I would have place plywood in it.
👍
Of course the guy who never heard of catch and release is also a crossbow hunter.
lol you jus' jelly is all
Great review. I have a regular BG 3000 and the size difference between the back bay and the regular BG is substantial. I really don't think it's too heavy for light jig at all. That's pretty much what it's made for. I have mine on a 7' medium st croix avid with 15 pound power pro and it's perfect!
Yeah I used the back bay inshore several times and liked it, but once I bought a stradic the weight comparison was no match when casting all day.
Hi. Never had a chance to hold this reel. I was wondering how this compares to tranx 400. I have some issues with tranx due to lack of adjusting the cast controll brakes. I Just wish it had magnet as well. This series of reels seem to have exact infiniti brakes as Abu Revo series and this is superior for me in comparison to shimanos SVS brakink system.
I’ve never used a tranx so I can’t really say comparatively. I do believe this reel is larger than a tranx 400 and I know it holds more line. As far as the Revo goes Abu Garcia bought Penn so I’m pretty sure this is a saltwater version of the Revo beast. More corrosion resistance etc.
Tranx 400 is good bit smaller
Ayyyyyy local guy
Nice video Johnny. Miss you and ol Bill!
Thanks buddy
