Hey Odd-Eyes Von, could you talk about Pre-Ian Flynn Archie Sonic ?

I'm probably the one of the few, but I honestly wished that they had her in at least ONE of the video games. Like everyone else says, she was a really well written character. The best part about her was that even though she was a kickass Freedom Fighter, she didn't always have to be like that to be a strong, independent, female character. She was a perfect mix of a feminine, yet badass character. She also had an awesome backstory. That's what made her relationship with Sonic so good (and believable). They had their own personal struggles and strife that they, more often than not, brought into the relationship. Plus, they both wanted what was best for their friends and family, let alone each other, even though they had different ways of wanting to do that. The relationship with Bunnie and Antoine was nice, but it worked too well. They had an absolutely perfect relationship which (let's be honest) doesn't exist. Same with Scourge and Fiona. Their relationship felt rushed. Anyway, should they have Sally in a game one day (let alone the new show), I really hope that they stay true to the character she had comics.

Amazing video! I really enjoy everything sonic and clearly have a soft spot for amv's or something because this was my favourite video to date. This is my favourite way to learn about the lore of the comic besides actually just reading it and would love to make content like this some day. Keep up the amazing work. I've watched your videos for awhile now and seeing you improve in the production is as fun as watching the videos themselves.

I really like these issues. It was nice to see Sonic and Sally together again, and the Universe arcs were some of the bests there ever were. Too bad this era is almost over.

3:56 - 4:10 some people just hate archie because they can archie shadow is best shadow because he acts like a real person , like you can totally see when he is happy or sad , or like how obvious the guilt is in shadows face , overall he is the kindest shadow has ever been , if it was the current game/IDW shadow instead he would burn blazes entire universe to ashes without any feel of guilt , yeah i know some people wouldnt like how shadow shows his emotions and weaknesses sometimes but come on is it a bad thing for a fictional character to cry when he/she is sad or smile when he/she is happy ? game shadow has his moments but i really dont like how i need to carefully analyse his body language to understand how he feels . but i cant say the same thing for rouge ... i know she is not supposed to be too nice but her archie version is annoyingly selfish

Good to have you back, and great video. For the question, I wouldn't erase the Mecha Sally arc IF it was finished, because it feels unfinished and because of the reboot.

I don't know what you think, but I love Sonally. Even if you discount the romance, they had a great dynamic. But their relationship was special (it apparently transcended time and space according to Genesis).

yeah after idw i want to get into archie but i know something went down and it always gonna be at the back of my mind effecting the experience. if this is like a jumping point at sonic 160 i can treat it like dbz and just enjoy it like that moving in. thanks.

Yeah, I really dont think that issue 160 is a good starting point as a new reader now that I see it... It literally starts in the middle of an arc, and references to a lot of lore that feels too heavy for someone that just started getting into the series. Would think it's either best to just start from the very beginning, or follow through the reboot point from the World Unite Crossover stories.

Can we just appreciate this criminally underrated piece of art? I really like the way you build your content and wish you a ton of success!

I really like the ending songs, Egg Revie Zone: The final boss of Sonic Mania and the inclusion of Fist Bump is some cleaver foreshadowing for Classic Sonic and the Phantom Ruby's return in Sonic Forces. I never really listened to With Me from Black Knight, which is funny since Knight of the Wind is one of my favorite Sonic and Crush 40 songs ever. Even though in the story Merlina explains that the reason she is the plot twist villain, and tries to consume her world with the corruption of the Underworld is because she wants to trap her world in a endless loop out of fear of the ending of the story of King Author which results in even more destruction, Sonic still tries to stop her because he understands that even though her intentions are good, her actions only delay the inevitable and she is only doing more harm than good and he ends up defeating her and destroying the Evil Scabbard's power. He then teaches her that all good things must come to an end and this is why people must live their lives to the fullest.

the only problem I had in this story is that Jun kun and Amy didn't have 10 pages for their fight respectfully obviously joking but yeah I think it would be pretty

Hi again. I wanted to add to Mighty's backstory in the Archie Comics: Mighty was born in Eurish (The Sonic Archie Version of Europe) in the Kingdom of Merica. He lived with his sister Matilda and their parents, who were later arrested due to them being thieves. Mighty then met Mammoth Mogul who then gave him his Super Strength which led Mighty to try and save his parents. The rescue attempt failed and he was exiled. He was imprisoned along with Ray the Flying Squirrel and Fiona Fox, but Sonic arrived and saved both Mighty and Ray, except Fiona who then developed a grudge towards Sonic. Mighty later joined the Chaotix along with Ray.
