Hi again. I wanted to add to Mighty's backstory in the Archie Comics: Mighty was born in Eurish (The Sonic Archie Version of Europe) in the Kingdom of Merica. He lived with his sister Matilda and their parents, who were later arrested due to them being thieves. Mighty then met Mammoth Mogul who then gave him his Super Strength which led Mighty to try and save his parents. The rescue attempt failed and he was exiled. He was imprisoned along with Ray the Flying Squirrel and Fiona Fox, but Sonic arrived and saved both Mighty and Ray, except Fiona who then developed a grudge towards Sonic. Mighty later joined the Chaotix along with Ray.
7:32 In-universe and meta-wise this was mainly done because of the infamous "slap" scene where Sonic and Sally broke up over the fact that Sally wanted Sonic to stay with her as the Royal consort but Sonic was dead set on being on the field and taking out Eggman. This friction between both of them was still there even in the more modern comics, and at certain points Sally made some very poor decisions based on her emotional spite. Sally acknowledges this by pointing out that she ended things poorly with him and after everything they've gone through it wouldn't be fair to just move on to someone else without at the very least trying to properly patch things up with Sonic. As I'm sure you've seen, Even if it's not at the forefront, some of the bitterness was still there in certain issues.
7:45 I'm glad Sally went back to Sonic. Their relationship was an important part of the comic, and Sonic says later if they just talked to each other, that love triangle wouldn't have happened.
as both an Amy and a Tails fan, i have a lot of fun while reading Ian Flynn era Archie , their Archie versions are the best , iron king as some sort of a battle rival to Amy and speedy as a rival to Tails is such a cool idea , despite how good IDW is , Tails and Amy are usually sidekick #1 & sidekick #2 to sonic , i know they have their own adventures as well but it just simply isnt as cool , But in Archie their "sonic-less" adventures are the best things ever , their own rivals , their own badass moments , their own "rise to godhood" 😅, its everything a Tails/Amy fan wanted in their dreams , i hear a lot that Boom or IDW has the best Amy BUT i have to disagree , Boom Amy talks more than she acts and IDW Amy doesnt have much personality , but Archie Amy is less about talking and is more about acting and getting straight down to business ( AKA fighting for freedom ) , there are a lot of Archie moments that i can point to and say "This is PEAK AMY" as you say , Boom and IDW not so much, as you said Sonic X has "peak Amy" moments as well but let me be honest she has more than enough annoying moment, the only version of Amy that can be better than her Archie version is her Fleetway comics version, for Tails is almost the same story , in the games his personality is all over the place i mean even Tails himself said he is so much inconsistence , i ADORE his moments in Sonic X season 3 but he is losing most of times in that show, his Boom version is competent but doesnt have enough distinctive personality , and in IDW there is only one moment ( the end of zeti hunt arc ) that i could point and call "peak Tails" , but in Archie he is at his peak a lot of times , Archie Tails is what if Tails continued his growth from Sonic Adventure 2 , he wins most of the times but not all the time ( competent but not OP ) , makes a lot of mistakes ( just like a real person ) but learns from them ( relatable but also admirable ) , he respects sonic but he will stand against him when he believes sonic is wrong, he may sometimes say "if only sonic was here" or "what would sonic do" but only a few times because unlike his "sonics social media" version Tails is his own man. because of all of this i will never stop adoring Archie comics and i will never stop wishing for Tails and Amy to become their glorious Archie versions again also it makes sense for Amy to give iron king a bad time "power scale wise" because its a common misconception that Amy is "a human among gods" , Amy is not a person that fights for justice despite having no power , Amy was powerful all this time she just needed to believe in herself to unleash that power, if you want an example of "a human among gods" in the sonic cast , Sally and Antoine are what you are looking for because Tails and Amy ARE GODS 😅 and also you may know that the adventure Tails had with Bunnie and Antoine is actually an adaptation of "Tails Adventure" the gamegear game sorry for the LONG comment, i had to fanboy over Tails and Amy somewhere 😅
I disagree on Amy's personality. I still think she is at her best in IDW, but you are right that her having solo adventures in Archie. She gets to shine more because of it while I love IDW Amy, she doesnt get as much spotlight. She did really good in the Metal virus and she has her moments but she might need a rival
the only problem I had in this story is that Jun kun and Amy didn't have 10 pages for their fight respectfully obviously joking but yeah I think it would be pretty
1. The relationships between the characters is what makes the world interesting and human 2. The reason I personally don't like Amy is because her thought process and goal is really unhealthy, especially in sonic adventure 1 and 2. Plus, let's be honest, Sally is a better counterpart. A Anchor to his spunk while still loving each other for who they are
@@odd-eyesvon oh btw, the free comic book day is referencing the first ever sonic comic (not including the miniseries before.) anyway thank you for understanding even though I don't really like Amy.
@@ironpiyepic2666 Yeah of course. I totally dig Sally as a companion to Sonic over Amy. Like you said, she grounds Sonic more than anyone. When I said "the relationship drama is corny", I was really referring to the amount of love triangles are in the story. Sonic-Mina-Sally, Sonic-Mina-Ash, Sonic-Sally-Khan, Sonic-Sally-Amy, Sonic-Fiona-Tails, Sonic-Fiona-Scourge, and so on. Some of these are cool, but I just think that the love triangle trope is overused in Archie.
@@odd-eyesvon yeah, but to be fair, most of them are set up by he who must not be named (fuck that bitch, kendathin penders) Also I love your content, I would be really interested to see what you have to say about fleetway. I plan on making a comic if you would be interested in that too

Do you know what issues I can find that in, I’d love to make a correction in an upcoming video I have planned.
