Why Otani will win the MVP? He is a DH, Lindor is a SS. Lindor defensive play make him a MVP.

I don't know the specific analytics of Alvarez's postseason performance here specifically, but being good at framing contributes a lot defensively, to the point where I've seen analysis of seasons where it can make a catcher who can't hit for shit basically on par with a great power hitting catcher.

Hi ladies and congrats for your podcast, as a former baseball player I want to say something. Othani is not going to win the MVP they are going to give it to him, and those are two different things. You can’t win an MVP just with home runs and stolen bases.

You can't blame Alvarez for the stolen bases when Edwin Diaz is up. Diaz's leg kick is too big and they dont want him changing his motion. He is great at not allowing hits so they just go all in on that. Alvarez doesn't have time to throw out the runner with such a big leg kick. I agree we need to see Torrens in there at least sometimes though. Torrens has been so good when called upon.

Iglesias has been rough recently. His at bats have been atrocious, swinging at pitches far outside the zone and even some defensive miscues. I wonder if McNeil being back has created some nerves.

As a native Angeleno & knows the Los Angeles Dodgers like I know every square inch of my glorious nnnaked body, I can easily tell you why the Dodgers will lose series to Mets. First, they have reached the 3mil attendance mark 36x in franchise history, including this yr. *They are 0 for 35 on 36 in WS titles won in such seasons.* Secondly, *since 2019, every team the Dodgers have been eliminated by were those who were dominated and outscored by the juggernaut Dodgers during the regular season.* The opposite is also true as the Dodgers were 5-8 vs SD, outscored 62-56 in RS, yet won NLDS in 5. *Dodgers were 4-2 vs Mets in RS, outscoring them 36-20 = Mets turn to win.* This means there'll will be a Bronx-bound train comin, and it aint from Brooklyn, but Queens!

First time watching and blown away. Thought through my current preferred post game analyst shows/podcasts...and can't think of any I found even remotely as good as this. I do think this series IS the World Series, and while I'm glad Metsies got the W, I saw way too much slop. They got lucky today. Way too many errors (more errors than the stats show), too many walks....won't beat the Dodgers that way. Mets won 2 out of 18 possible innings. Luckily they got a W. Clean it up boys!!! Let's gooooo!!!!

What did I say about a bullpen game in the NLCS? Had to jump on them and they pretty much did. Vientos making a lot of money in the playoffs for a contract.

Just watch Manaea warm up in the bullpen. He pitches from the opposite rubber than where his catcher catches his warm up pitches. You can see this effective warm up technique in his live pitches. It's fascinating. Let's go Mets!
