Outstanding Video Jack🟩⬜
Edinburgh was the most populated city in Europe at one point they actually think the black plauge started there ..that was way before this thought it was pretty interesting tho
The brits starved the irish to death.. the famine happened but the irish starving was because the brits took the rest of the crops and stopped food ships going to Ireland.. it wasn't a famine it was a genocide
Celtic fan here hail hail Hibs🇮🇪
Thanks for making this video absolutely amazing I thought I new allot about the hibby,s till I watched this fantastic thanks
Scottish football has great football clubs plus the fans are so passionate
Meanwhile they changed their name to FC Eisenhüttenstadt and play in the 7th tier.
Hard to get more globally vague, irrelevant, and forgotten in post soviet times than all the former stan republics. Whole lotta land, not a lotta money or people. Doesn't help the Soviets sucked up all their resources to send back to russia like a top tier Rust grub.
I'm a Celtic fan, however always have soft spot for the Hibees fantastic video. I love your passion well done and I will be following your work. Thank you👍.
Hannon Whelan
Great video! The original pronunciation in English of "Erin Go Bragh" is Air-in Gu Braw. Really, such a great video I'm looking forward to checking out your channel! Thanks for taking the time to make such an informative video Jack
My grandad Played for Hibs and I’m trying to find who to contact to look at some historical records. Do you know who I could contact please?
This video was so interesting as well
The Hibs historic trust are the best people to contact about former players
Great video! Really enjoyed it. great research
in 2024; Bayer won the DFB-POKAL for second time.😮 Nice video.😅
Celtic fan here, Very interesting ,ive a wee soft spot for Hibs🍀
“Millions” of Irish never moved to Edinburgh. Not even to Scotland. Most moved to Glasgow.
Celtic supporter here. I also used to go to Partick Thistle games with my uncle back in the early '90s, so I've stood in the away terracing at the old Easter road a couple of times... back when the old shed to our right was still heaving with Hibs casuals! 😆 My sister also moved from here in Glasgow to Leith in the late '80s, so I became familiar with the area and have always had a fondness for Hibs. I don't want them to beat my team, but I don't cry about it if they do 😀 One of my colleagues is a big Hibee, and Leith boy, so I'll send him a link to this video. He might not pay for an Internet service though, as he's a stereotypical Edinburger... as tight as two coats of paint!! 🤣🤣 Great video, btw - very enjoyable and informative 👍
Partick thisle is a fantastic club the fans are so passionate good post ❤❤❤
Hearts fc, the club for me. Hibs are so shit
Talk about the ghost of Heart of Midlothian that haunts Easter Road! 😂 Stop trying to blame the Irish for your dire derby record! 😂
Hibs copy Hearts every time they can and it must come from your beginnings! Hearts founded 1874, Hibs founded 1875! Will you leave us alone! It’s getting creepy now! 😂
❤❤👌🤙✊️👊😊
I wish, that: - Celtic and the Hib's, would: get along, as well; as poss_ABLE. **From a Celtic, fan!!**
Celtic fan here, always support hibs when playing the sevconians.
Fascinating and sad ,now Happy. Xxx
More please. Thank you. Envigoeating. Riveting. Xxx
They were founded behind a coal shed spoonburning and went into hiber-nation 🔥💉🩸🥄
Newspaper reports back in the 19th century referred to Hibernians. Was that not the official name, was it always Hibernian?
Hibernian has always been the official name. I think it was more down to Victorian writing styles
May many Scots rediscover their deep celtic Christian roots...
Great video, sharpened up my knowledge of Hibs. I love cabbage so much, they are the team for me!
Great interview! Love the shirt choice, Jack....
Glad you enjoyed it. Had to rep Brandenburg's number 1 ;)
The first to wear the hoops and don't forget it
Yes, the similarities with Celtic are obvious! The name Glasgow Hibernians was mentioned to Brother Walfrid! But he had other ideas! However, sorry to say, it's a VERY plodding video! You seem to be in a rush and also stifling burps? If you had just ate or drank something you should have waited at least an hour before going near a mic! Also, never say ' Don't quote me on that'! A life story requires proper research, you can't guesswork anything! No insult's intended! Thanks for the Celtic mentions even though they had to be there!😊
45.40....And that was exactly the issue the painter had when he wrote his book in the 1920s
The Irish came to Liverpool ....so much so, that we changed the accent and gave the world Everton FC ....however, that might not be so great to claim these days :P
Everton will always be a great club, hopefully better days ahead
Brilliant video
I am glad you enjoyed it!
So hibs and celtic were the two teams responsible for bringing religion into football in Scotland 👀
Fantastic 💚 GGTTH 💚
English love Fish and chips and Primark ☘☘🍀🍀Englishmen castle is a house built by the Irish
Very slight correction in an excellent production. Hibs' founding father's name was Fr Edward Hannan.
Great video. Thank you!
Chemie, Chemie, only Chemie!
Dynamo Dresden played in the Bundesliga in the 94/95 season and 5-6 years later got relegated to the fourth division 😬 (Oberliga at the time)
Looking at the dates on comments being a year ago, guess I’m late to arrive at party. Congratulations on a fantastic and enjoyable watch. 👍 My auld man hates football ( 22 men chasing a bag of air ).. sometimes I see his point, however, when you uncover the history and origins of a club it’s much more than chasing a bag of wind. You sir have nailed it.
Good video , but can't see how the founding of the club helped integration, it was a Irish club for the Irish in Scotland , also to play you had to be a practising RC , club was named after the Latin name for Ireland , the badge was Irish , yes sectarianism was rife , but Hibernian were part of it ,
You've somehow managed to completely miss the point of this 40 minute upload. Unbelievable.
I'm Celtic and have soft spot for Hibs. Great story. Well done.
No wonder, Celtic stole 11 players from them and nicked their hoops. 😂😂😂
It would be amazing to interview these guys. I can't imagine what it felt like playing in front of hundreds to thousands at the Olympiastadion with all those plaudits from all over Germany.
If I can track them down it’s getting done 😉
Jack have you given up on You Tube ?.
Thanks for this.
Why do hibs fans fly a Union Jack? This will forever confuse me.
they dont fly one and never will,i think the one u are referring to is maybe the casuals flag which is in the same design as a union jack but its green white and black i think its just a statement from the hooligans that they are secular fans with no connection to ireland and maybe to differentiate between the casuals and ordinary fans, maybe even had slight right wing connotations as alot of hooligan groups did,i dont know any of this for fact its just my take on what it might be you would have to ask the guy who got the flag made and flies it,its in no way a representation of the support as a whole
Think it’s it’s to do with mocking the British flag putting it in green colours you see it a lot at game against the like Alf rangers and hearts

What is the song you use in the intro, mate? Sounds cool! Also, any chances on a Hansa Rostock video?
Hibs Heroes and I’ll definitely get something out about Hansa soon
