I AM LORD XERUS AND YOU SHALL OBEY ME... I mean, you should join me and have a good time AS I PLUNDER YOUR KINGDOM... I meant to say, as I take you on an enchanted journey FULL OF ENDLESS TORMENT! I'm so sorry! I'm new to this whole entertainment business and old habits die hard. This Crunk Knight is here to play the fool: to entertain you with his wit, tales of his heroic deeds, and his shiny armor. So shiny.
K4S3: Carry lightsabers with style!
Most people know to keep their lightsaber turned off. Well, most people aren't Lord Xerus! But he's having a little bit of what you might call a "containment" problem, so the dashing heroine, Reyna Fastalker rushes in to save the day! Her solution? K4S3: a munitions and logistics specialist droid, who she's willing to let go for a reasonable price. But K4S3 might have other ideas...

Are you bummed about the Acolyte getting cancelled? Happy? Weirdo! When I was down in the dumps, my old droid pal Rx-420 took me out of my funk on along for a gnar tour with the Parliament-Funkadelic and straight into funky town if you catch my meaning. And he reminded me that the Skeleton Crew trailer was super flippin' rad, and that brightened my day. So come along for the trip because we've ...

Adding straps to Northstar Armoury arms

Do you have an overwhelming need to surround yourself with big, strong, protective arms? Maybe you've found the right pair, but something's missing. I'm talking about the straps of course! You can't put on arm armor without straps! Well that's exactly what happened to me when I purchased a pair of stainless steel splint arms from North Star Armoury. Let me show you how I added straps to my arms...
Making a Greatsword Lightsaber with VHC parts
มุมมอง 2136 หลายเดือนก่อน
Are you loving Disney's the Acolyte? Are you hating it? YOU'RE WRONG AND I DON'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT! Well, there's one thing we can all agree on: lightsabers are awesome! Except finding one you really like can be a challenge. My solution? Build your own with V.H.C. parts. What are VHC parts, you ask? It stands for Variable Hilt Components, and is the standard used by some Chinese lightsaber ...
Lighted Crystal Insert from The Custom Saber Shop review

As the sword is the heart of the warrior, the crystal is the heart of the sword! well, of of laser swords anyhow. Crystals are pretty fragile and putting one in a real sword might be kind of impractical. But hey, you know what? They light up, and that makes them FUN! Come along with the Crunk Knight as he discovers a crystal of his very own and assembles it! Find your own crystal too at The Cus...

Nice work! Great looking case
Thanks for watching! I genuinely appreciate it. I'll see you on the battlefield!
Extremely high quality stuff.. blows my stuff out of the water. If you leap frog me to 1k congrats lol this is really good
That means a lot. I appreciate it. You are close to your viewers in a way I can't match, so I'm genuinely happy for your success. Thank you again for your words of encouragement.

Thank you m'lord! Thank you for your support!
I like these little Star Wars-ifying vids.
Thanks for watching! It means a lot!
Cool vid! 😁 made me laugh a lil lol
Loved this one hahah.. great video
@@ImperialMarque You are too kind. Thank you. Production has been lagging and chunking these out is about all I can do right now.
@LordXerus RL first we aren't making millions yet so no worries man. 👍 I'm self employed so this is just another arm of my New Empire.
@LordXerus keep at it man and I'll let you know when my new video drops. I kinda want to add goodies to it.. that and my PC is down atm all phone operation right now lol. 🙃 Keep slaying
I taped my sword for the first time like a month or 2 ago and I share your sentiments about the process lol.
My saber didn't come with the allen key or the correct charger. I have tried saberforge's help line but haven't heard back in almost a week. What exact charger do you have? That one appears to be the correct plug as opposed to the micro-usb. Thanks
@@cameronwilliard915 Hmm, you should definitely email them again because that should have been included. They do take forever though. The one I have is a round AC port or “barrel” that used to be standard before USB. Saberforge sells it for 14.99 but you can get the cable cheaper at either Crimson Dawn or Vire Sabers. (Vire seems to be sold out of the cable, but they have the brick). Both of those sites also have allen wrenches, extra screws, and deluxe allen wrenches for super cheap. They both ship quickly too, within a week, unlike Saberforge.
@@cameronwilliard915 Oh, and I should mention that most of the parts on Vire and Crimson Dawn are NOT compatible with Saberforge (although I think their Eco line is coming in line with LGT products, but their higher tiers are different sizes) you shouldn’t have any problems with the charging cables and allen wrenches as far as I know.
Lord Xerus .... I approach your numbers.. 660.. so when I get near your number do we do battle? Lol you get your Saber Hilt
You will probably surpass me in followers. With the amount of editing I have to do, there is no way I can keep up with the amount of videos you make. So I'll just say congratulations. We can always do battle, you know. We don't need followers for that. Lightsabers are fun, but they cannot withstand the force of rattan.
@LordXerus when I make fun remarks it's to motivate a fellow friend to greater heights and myself. Competition makes for a better product. I've quite enjoyed our back and forths lol.
@LordXerus I'll be at Castle Wars 2024 more than likely and War of the Phoenix 2025 certainly.
How much coffee did you have in your system when you made this video? LOL 🤣

@@LordXerus very true 😂
Wish they sold the pommel on the Mystic Knights one seperately.
Actually, if you write to them, they might sell it to you. I had to buy replacement parts for that saber: just the handle and switch sections. There's no harm in asking.
@@LordXerus what’s the hilt called?
@@RainMakeR_Workshop It’s just the Mystic Knight pommel. Rebel Sabers is the only store that carries it, as far as I know.
@@LordXerus Ah, I thought it was from Mystic Knight Armoury.
@@RainMakeR_Workshop Oh, yeah, I can see see why. They make some cool stuff too.
Is the droid home made?
Nah, bought him at Disneyland!
@@LordXerus ah, guessing he’s a lot smaller irl then.
@@RainMakeR_Workshop Indeed he is!
Did you got for a long blade as well? Mine is 42in so I strike with purpose each time. I was spoiled by my short sword of old.
@@ImperialMarque I think mine are 35”.
@LordXerus ok so a standard size fair enough. I wanted a good one to two hander as I see fit. Not quite a greatsword and not quiet a arming sword.
I go full plate i made myself. 100% you slow monkey lol. Nice video though love it. Subbed. You going to war of the phoenix in 2025?
We don't have plans to, but anything's possible.
@LordXerus well if you do let me know. I shall gladly spar ya
@@ImperialMarque Thanks! And thanks for watching too!
@@ImperialMarque Hey, I just noticed you have a channel too! Totally gonna check it out and subscribe!
@LordXerus I'm not as charismatic as you lol thanks your tutorial videos helped with my kit.
Ever tried a rattan basket on a lightsaber?
@@RainMakeR_Workshop I know somebody who did that. They also did SCA as I recall. I never had much cause to do that. I typically prioritize being able to switch between 1 handed and 2 handed techniques. A build like that sure would look nice though!
@@LordXerus Yeah, having that flexibility is nice. But there is also fun to be had in having more specialised options. Like pairing a basket hilt lightsaber with a targe like shield. For that classic Scottish loadout in Star Wars form. I don't have any SCA hilts.... But I do have an old basket hilt Red Dragon/Rawlings synthetic HEMA sword.
@@RainMakeR_Workshop Nice!
No other custom lightsaber builds?
@@RainMakeR_Workshop I’m currently working through a backlog of videos. They take a long time to edit. Plus I have some projects I haven’t touched yet too.
@@LordXerus Fair, found you cause I'm in the planning phase for a greatsword lightsaber myself. But I liked your skits and stuff. So been watching a few vids.
@@RainMakeR_Workshop Well I appreciate it! What are you planning on building? Is your lightsaber going to be primarily for fun, or will you do any competitive fighting?
@@LordXerus Gonna be taking x2 crossguard lightsabers and turning them into a 6ft zweihander with the addition of some extra parts. The second lightsaber will act as the ricasso and parry hooks. This one will be mostly for fun and cosplay (Putting together a Sith based on the Landsknecht). Pretty sure it would be too dangerous and against the rules for duelling.
@@RainMakeR_Workshop That sounds flippin’ rad! We actually have some folks that fight in the exotics division with greatsword, or dual wielding one long saber and a smaller dagger, some of them with crossguards. But yeah, there are rules, mostly about length and also sharp edges and points and such. I was fortunate enough to borrow a greatsword made by a league sabersmith in the last competition I was in. It was a super light build, surprisingly fast. I’d love to see your sabers when you’re done!
Is there meant to be an Emma Throne vid in the "Lord Xerus in Space" playlist? Figured I'd mention in case it was a mistake.
@@RainMakeR_Workshop Not unless she’s suddenly pivoted swordfighting! That might be a mistake. Thanks for looking out.
@@LordXerus XD thought so.
@viresabers5883 I made this saber with some of your parts and I don't think I ever tagged you!
Somethings you may want to experiment with. you may want to consider moving laterally in a fight, this is best done when your foe commits' to a strike and you time your step to the side to change the angle of attack. Also when advancing sometimes it is also good to incorporate attacking not head on but at a slight angle to the left or right of your foe. (Its like walking to someone but not dead on, but walking at a slight angle of 10-20 degrees left or right. you may also want to consider to tighten up your striking form, you wind up a bit before a strike giving your foe time to see it coming, try to make your cuts sudden without cranking your shots. Anyways in two years you made a lot of progress and im happy your still fighting on the SCA. keep at it bud, your awesome!
@@davedudeip Great advice, thanks! I get the feeling that my swords are heavier than normal, because moving them without “cranking” doesn’t seem physically possible.
@@LordXerus A lot of power can be generated by makeing sure your engaging your hips, It is important to keep your sword in a high guard, I use hanging guard quite a bit, the idea is if you start with your sword hand low, you need to rase it before throwing a power shot, if your sword hand starts from,a high postion you dont need to crank before your shot. the faster you move your hips the more power you get from a shot.
@@davedudeip I see. Thank you.
Great fight at the end, you have made a lot of progress since your first SCA fight videos, keep it up brother your doing great!

Who uses goofy plastic threads? Sand a machine screw head flat and glue it or thread it and use threaded rod.
The kill keys I’ve seen don’t use threads. They are just sleeves for the electric contacts.
I am a big fan of using a nut driver to tighten hose clamps, easier to fiddle things together compared to a screwdriver.
Great advice! Thanks for watching!

Glad to see you too! Sorry it’s been so long. These videos take a massive effort to make and I was also working full time. I’m between jobs now so I finally had the time to push one out. I have like 20 vids in the can. Thanks for watching!
@LordXerus the production quality is really good, man. one thing I might suggest for the issues with the electric hand planer, they tend to do better (in my experience) with boards that are already kinda flat, since they just cut high spots. You might have been better off with a handheld belt sander for the rattan (I have an old harbor freight one that's served me well for over 10 years at this point). though they do generate a lot more dust than the planers
@@TristanPSterling That’s good advice! I admit that another better tool would have been a stationary feed-style planer, but that was outside the budget. A belt sander is a great alternative.
Welcome back
