Underrated channel, there's a lot of useful info covered here!
I would like to purchase one but its so expensive... One day
Great review! Would you share youre AI drills with me please? 🎉
I have heard that the different colors of this string play slightly differently. The YELLOW version is supposedly the softest and the RED is supposedly the stiffer - the BLACK is in between. Do you find this to be the case? What is your preference of the three?
Is the app free?
Yep! It’s free.
No such app on App Store on my Iphone 🤔
Hey, thanks for the note. Yes, you are right; the app isn't available from the Apple App Store yet, but their team is working on getting it live for iOS users. In the meantime, you can access it via TestFlight, which is how I have accessed it: testflight.apple.com/join/AvVjNsKP For Android users, their app is already available in the Google Play store: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spinfiresport.spinfirepro_app Hopefully that helps.
I miss the days when we didn't have to look at a mess of lines on the court while we are trying to play tennis. It's maddening. Nice review though!
Haha. Yeah, you play on them enough and they fade into the background, but you gotta love a court with dedicated lines. Thanks for the note!
@TennisCompanion i am debating between the spinfire and the Titan 1 both seem very similar in terms of features. To me a tangible difference is the size and weight for the Titan is not great.
Thanks for this review. I have the Spinfire Pro 2 sinsce this year and didnot know there was an app for it. Remote is excellent, but will experiment with the app now. Furthermore as you say, this is a great machine.
You’re welcome! I completely agree, the physical remote is awesome. Even with the app, I’ll setup a drill then use the physical remote to start/pause the drill as it’s more convenient to keep in my pocket. Overall, the app definitely opens up a ton of new possibilities, so I’ve really enjoyed using it.
Well done sir…well done!
Thank you for the kind words!! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it 😄
What’s the AI part of it?
The AI component relates to the app’s ability to automatically program drills for you simply by typing or speaking a prompt. It’s a super quick and powerful way to build custom drills on the fly. You can check out my coverage of this feature at 8:22 in the video.
I have this machine and just reviewed it too, I like the idea of raising it for serve return practice👌👌
Awesome! I'm happy that raising the machine for practicing returns was a helpful tip. Thanks for letting me know - I’ve definitely enjoyed the upgrade.
The cart isn't tall enough to produce a realistic serve. You'd need something higher than the net, IMO.
@ this is true…my hitting partner is 6’3 and built, I’m hoping he can hold it above his head🤣🤣
Thanks for your review. I bought a spinfire pro 2 Aug 2023. Can it support the app, or the ball machine needs to be upgraded?
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching. From what I understand, machines with a purple control panel, produced since 2020, have an upgrade option available. However, it does appear there’s currently a limited quantity available per the US site: www.spinfireusa.com/product/appug/ Also, I’d love to confirm when they started shipping machines with compatibility for you, so I’ve reached out to them and will reply here when I know more. I’m assuming the easiest way to tell if your machine currently supports it is to download the app and try to establish a Bluetooth connection. If you can’t, it’s probably safe to assume an upgrade would be required.
@@TennisCompanionThank you so much, I will download the app and try👍😊
I heard back from Spinfire - here's what I learned. They have a detailed support article for identifying whether your machine has the latest motherboard for supporting the app: www.spinfiresport.com/kb/upgrading-an-old-v2-machine-to-have-bluetooth-the-smart-phone-app/ According to their team, these started to ship around January 2024, so while there's not an exact date, I hope that helps provide a rough timeline. Ultimately, checking the above support doc is the best way to know if your machine supports the app. You can purchase the new motherboard and swap it out with the old one if it doesn't. Although the US site currently states a limited quantity is available at this time, Spinfire will be producing more, so supply shouldn't be an issue. I hope that helps.
What a machine!
It definitely packs a punch!!
Great review 👍
Thanks for watching! 😄
The fact people are still watching this 4 years after it's created speaks for the clarity and usefulness. I wish it was mentioned that the "ideal" swing weight is actually in a pretty narrow range as can be seen from all the examples. It will shift a bit after adding strings but will shift for all of the rackets a little bit disproportionatly for the head heavy ones but still will be in the same realm. Also swing weight is not actually measured in grams but kg*cm^2.
I have this racquet but the Lite model and 100 sq inch. Note to others: I bought two of these and the butt caps on BOTH racquets came loose. Wilson told me to pound sand (fyi). I solved the problem by taking off the butt caps and putting it on with two part epoxy. No problems since. Love the racquet.
Awesome info thanks 😊
I’m a pretty big hitter and was thinking of switching to a multifilament from poly. I had Solico Confidental on my Wilson 100 v8 at 25kg and I felt like I had to swing too hard with my one handed backhand. Would Wilson sensation at 24kg do the job or should I just stick with a poly and drop the tension to 21-22kg?
Ur technique is fire 🔥
V7 the best all time
Just placed an order. Trial. Hoping they work out.

I know wealthy women who carry replicas. The main reason they gave is that they just understand the value of money and don't want to spend too much money on bags... so more people choose fashionable *luxrul* bags. However, they do spend a lot of money on fine jewelry and other things.
I was taught to use the continental grip decades ago and it worked well for me. After not playing for quite a while I decided to take a couple of lessons and the coach said I was holding the racquet wrong and no one uses that grip anymore. Thank goodness I had only paid for one introductory lesson because this guy was pretty rude and arrogant. Although I am open to trying other grips, it is nice to know that the continental grip is perfectly acceptable (and not wrong).
Could I use 3 overgrips or would it imbalance my racquet too much?
I have a version 1 from the Wilson Custom Order website!! LOVE THE GLOSSY PAINT JOB ON MINE
can a beginner use this? looking to use it for a long time.
Is multifilament the best string for beginners? like 1.0 to 2.0
Is 46lb in the main and 43lb in the cross is good for tennis tension
Good explanation - helpful to me learning top-spin for the first time and returning to tennis after decades away. I guess playing with an oversized racquet of 115-inch dimension with a 16x19 pattern will give even more spin and arc than smaller-sized racquets.
Hi, what is the best low tennis tension range in pounds
Where can I get that pro staff shirt? looks really good
Hey John, I really appreciate your videos and reviews. Could you make a review video on the new RF 01 pro racquet? Your reviews are amazingly in-depth. Thanks
Hello John! How are you? Hope are doing great. Could you please tell me three of the most dampened and least vibrating poly strings?
Another great explanation and improve my lack of understanding.. I am about to change my Clash 100L V2 as soon as I need to develop control and spin, for any between Pure Aero 98, Blade 98, or Dunlop Sx300 Tour.. Could you give advise please. Thx in Adv.
Why the shoes has a reiki simbol? Did someone else saw the simbol on the front side
So in 10 years of playing with the same secondhand op shop tennis racquet up to five times a week, a string broke and I played the set out and then another (and won both) with that one broken string. Dreading the restringing as I love the feel of my racquet to the point when I mistakenly thought my car had been stolen, my first thought was "Oh no! Not my tennis racquet!" as it was in the boot of the car. LOL So I am a fan of the idea of waiting until the string breaks. Must have had the Kevlar strings on my racquet. Guess I will find out very soon. I will definitely be replacing like for like. :)
So cool! Do you think there’s a way to pack two pairs of shoes in the shoe compartment?
Great to have you back. Your videos are very well produced, and have excellent information. I hope you can get another viral vid that draws people quickly back to the channel. Thanks for all your hard work, and I regularly read 5 point Friday. Thanks!
I didn't understand a single word he was saying lol. Buying a tennis racket is complicated.
I have this bag. Really like it. It’s like a portable locker
Nice! Glad to hear it's worked out well for you. Lol, yep, that's a pretty accurate description for this bag.
@@TennisCompanion haha yep. I bought the “shelves” and cubes which I didn’t think I’d use. I also bought their Velcro hide away pouch which I knew I’d use. Funny enough, I use the shelves and cubes all the time. The pouch not quite as often (but nice to have when I do). Thanks for posting this- not a lot out there about this bag which is a pity as it’s terrific.
Great video as always Jon! Great to know you're still loving the Geau Sport Axiom Racquet Bag 2.0 and the Axiom Packing Cube.
Thank you, Chris! Excited to see how you guys continue to build upon an already awesome lineup of bags.
Nice video, you're a perfectionist!
Thanks for the note and kind words!
