    I have this racquet but the Lite model and 100 sq inch. Note to others: I bought two of these and the butt caps on BOTH racquets came loose. Wilson told me to pound sand (fyi). I solved the problem by taking off the butt caps and putting it on with two part epoxy. No problems since. Love the racquet.

    Is the swingweight of 320 the actual measured spec for your racquet or quoted from online sources? It would be more informative to give the actual strung weight, balance and swingweight for the frame you are reviewing in the play test due to spec and QC variances. With Wilson, the swingweight can vary by as much as 10 which has huge bearing on how the racquet plays.

    • @a2casius
      @a2casius 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Completely agree. I guess the racquet was sent to him by Wilson so perhaps there was set limitations on how far he could push on measuring variances from spec which of course as you point out, has sadly detracted from the quality of this review. Though in his defence, he at least does mention some criticisms which thankfully does not make this video a mere product placement by Wilson.

    I would add to this review that an additional difference between 16 19 and 18 20 is swingweight. 317 vs 327

    Can you review the Solinco Confidential and how it compares to the RPM Blast or Hyper G? I've seen the technical comparisons and have seen many reviews of the string but they all seem to vary, and I cannot find any channel other than Tennis Warehouse that reviews all 3 strings to compare them at the same benchmark.

    • @georgipleshkov9679
      @georgipleshkov9679 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the suggestions. I think it is because of the geometry of the racquet. I've played with a lot of Prestiges and didn't have that problem.

      @@kikibeldandy So you’re saying there is a noticeable difference, cause I don’t want to spend 50$ extra for the same racket if both these versions are that close in playability. The downside in my case is that V7’s will probably go out of stock in tennis stores before I get to demo V8 in India. I’ll just have to take a chance buying one at this point

    Perhaps I missed it but I don't think you mentioned any major difference between V8 and V7. There was some gibberish about rebranding, paint job and text colour but really, if you're highlighting the cosmetic changes rather than the playability changes, you're simply detracting from your reputation as a reviewer. So, let me ask again. Should we buy V8 over V7, and Why?

      I'm just an intermediate player, but my wife owns the Clash 100 and I have play tested the new Blade v8 and I would say if you are looking for arm friendly with power, Clash is the way to go. She had Luxilon Smart strung on the Clash. I prefer the blade and after trying the V8 my wife liked the blade more as well due to the control it gave us and still had plenty of power in it. I would recommend checking your nearest tennis store and demo both if you can.

      @@sigibergmann9356 hi sigi, i think you simply have to playtest them. yes i play now with the clash and blade. the difference is for me is that the blade has about let´s say 20% less power than the clash and is more demanding. blade less access to topspin. so when i am really fit, i like the blade, but when i am feeling bad or have a bad day or give training i prefer the clash. also, after two hours of heavy hitting with the blade, i sometimes start to feel my arm. so, the blade is a super racket, but i still keep the clash in case my arm gets worse.
