Hi Andy. I have Also been doing some testing with the 1500w booster. Blew mine up using it with an inverter 24v to 48v they can't handle the pace so I bought the 1800w, will see how it goes. Keep up the good work. Andy.
@@andrewmcmahon1 Yes they need better cooling and need to be monitored closely. Which is why my 3000W project exists to use the components to make something as powerful as they claim. If you have an experiment or setup with your new converter I would love to see a video! Thanks
@@SuperBrainAK 3000w is what we need not these 1500w ones that can't push 600w from an inverter. Will make a vid and show you my setup soon. Cheers.Andy.

Hi, Is there a collar bushing behind the bendix? I saw at the front in housing that there is one so I wander is there a second behind which should be changed like on previous 2T EXC. Thanks

Just wondering what you did to the brake caliper after you've removed the wheel at about 1.05 ??
Anyone removed the starter? Mine has failed and I am about to replace it. You have to split the cases to replace the starter. Not KTM's best piece of work. FYI, the starter failed at 60hrs.

I thought that looked like a counter weight, in fact I was looking at the ring gear and thinking about all the reciprocating mass in that first then saw the counter weight. Makes me wonder what the throttle response and over run feels like, and also vibration or I assume lack of? Lots of engineering and stuff in there!
The engine is a big improvement over the previous model. the starter works better, the engine revs better in all rpm's and yes the vibrations are reduced and feels smoother. also the bike feels lighter and the seat height is lower. all the updates make this bike a vast improvement over the 2016's

Nice bike, just ordered a '17 300exc sixdays myself. The picture I was shown when ordering had a bash plate and pipe guard from factory, yet yours doesn't?
in the uk all bikes were sent out missing the bashplate and pipeguard. the dealer will be sending them to me when they come in. this happend in 2013 when I bought the same bike.
what about cost? near my house is a dealer and he sells this ktm for +/- 10k euros
Great looking 6 days... Curious if it comes stock with a Radiator fan?.. And please post more vids of this machine.
No radiator fan on the 2 stroke six days, four strokes have the fan. KTM have improved the cooling system on the 2017 300 and 250 - 2 strokes so maybe no need for a fan. The older 300 did need one and overheated regularly.
Thanks for the reply...Yeah, I guess time will tell.. I'm here in the desert heat of Las Vegas. So I'll need to put one on probably. How is the head shake on it? Do you feel it will need a stabilizer?
Swapping out the coolant for evans waterless will help with any over heating issues too.

I like the red frame that sets it off for me.
these are awesome bikes,rode one recently,i thought it would be a big heavy lump,it is, when its not moving, but a fantastic smooth great handling bike on the road.
you're gonna be hard pushed to get a nicer looking bike for that kind of money....well impressed.
