Pom mixes has such cute smiles 🐶 You can always ask questions during a stream and if I see it, I will try to answer or direct you to one of videos or someone else’s video. I am more likely to see your question if you put it in uppercase and/or add the word “question” in uppercase. Do you still have a specific question I can help you with here?
@devonrex4 You helped me to understand shadowing today. Multicolor shadows? I don't think I can paint backwards - so I will need to do it as you demonstrated - no other way? Can I wipe marks off? Or just correct at the end? Thanks 💙
@@debsmith7050 You could wipe off the acrylic paint pen marks (but pan pastel only really wipes off with baby oil so I wouldn’t recommend that until you have pulled your final print). However, you can also do what I did and add corrections after you have pulled your print. I used the white acrylic markers after I pulled my print. I love mixed media for that reason, you can just keep adding layers until you are happy. Btw If you add more pan pastel though, you would have to seal it with a spray “fixative” or it would rub off. Hope that helps

The one with the face and "pools" reminds me of the mineral pools at Yellowstone. One part is so sulphuric that the trees all look dead but preserved. Very cool! I missed the live but this really inspires me to continue to see outside the box. Thanks for this! ❤

Hi Yolande, I missed the live but I'm watching the replay. That was a pretty cool idea, using the origami and making prints. I totally understand what you meant when you said it took you 30 min to make the bird and 30 for the fish. It's a hard thing to do and so many folds. I made a couple for the fold prompt on junk journal july and then quickly put that paper back where it has been hiding for years! 😂 maybe I'll try it for my gelli plate. TFS 😊

Couldn't make the live but enjoyed the replay. I don't do a lot of gelli plating but I loved the effects you got with this method so maybe in the future I'll have to try more. Great results.

@devonrex4 thanks Yolande. I'm also glad that wasn't broken. The last time I went to this er they did the same kinda trays and told ne it wasn't broken but it was and I hobbled around for several weeks on a break in my femur till I fell again and went back and they took trays then ct scans and found the break in my femur and a new break. 🤪 😜 but I'm hoping this is not a repeat.

OMGGGGG.....Yo that was so fun to watch! I have a gel plate in my amazon cart. I wonder what would happen with granulating watercolours vs watered down acrylic paint. I love my sharpies in coloring books. And I have a box of mica powders that would be fun to play with. I am sorry I missed the live!!! Thanks for sharing your talent.
@@joannenewman5367 Thanks for watching the replay Joanne! I think granulating watercolors (like the Gansai Tambi ones you just got) would be fun. I do have some Daniel smith granulating ones I may try (I would still be tempted to put within a watered down acrylic base or maybe some watered down matte medium, but I don’t know why. We could experiment both ways 🤔

Have you tried gouache on the jell plate? I have tons of gouache but don’t know if it will damage the jell plate
@@sandracampbell9822 Gouche paint will not harm your jell plate! Have fun!
@@sandracampbell9822 I don’t currently have any gouach but I have used Jane Davenports Layered cakes on the gelplate which are similar to gouache. I don’t think that gouache would damage your gelplate✌️

It would be better to do the preparation inside and only take it out when you are ready to do the exposure. You are getting too much exposure on the paper before you even begin. The wash should also be done away from UV light ideally. When you do the wash, let the water run slowly into the tray for 4 minutes. The bead of water should have the thickness of a pencil. Your bins are really too deep for this. You can get photo trays from a photographer retailer. The high pressure spray will damage the paper. Good luck exploring this process.
@@michaellevy9638 Thank you for all the tips. I will definitely keep these in mind the next time. I know my set up wasn’t perfect but I had a couple of factors that led me to some of my decisions : I wanted to do a very large piece for a project (the lamp I revealed in the video prior to this one) and I also wanted to film the project (which requires a certain amount of light) so these factors necessitated me filming in my garage (a lower light situation where I could accommodate the large pieces). I have wanted to do this process again and the next time I won’t be filming it and I will be doing on a smaller scale so I will definitely come back to review your comment again and heed your advice. Thanks so much 😄
@@devonrex4 With premature/stray exposure, you get haze. It will decrease the clarity of the print.
