This (2:20) really helped me figure out how to remove the balance wheel with that extra piece on it. Before this I didn't know whether they come out separately or together as one piece. I'm using the Seagull cheap version ST36.

Thanks for this video - I'll be re-assembling my wife's 2135 this weekend. The silence is interesting - seems OK to me - I'll be running it at 25% speed which makes it slow enough for me and I'll be stop/starting it a lot - what I really need is the step by step and the oil numbers. I like that you say don't lube here per the manual. I have the manual and it is comforting to know that you have it too and are referencing it. Nice job!! PS - J,K,L on keyboard are back 10 secs, play/pause and forward 10 secs on TH-cam. I bought a 3 foot pedal set from PCSensor to put on the floor (USB wired version and Bluetooth version) which I set to J,K,L.. It works great to keep your hands free while watching and start/stopping instructions. I use it for guitar lessons and great for this too.

Hi! I have Hamilton Below Zero Chrono with ETA 7750. Automatic day change works without problem, but automatic date change is broken. Is it possible to change only broken part for date change and what cost of repair should I expect? All other functions of the watch works fine, only automatic date change is broken. Thank you in advance!

My quartz Heuer 2000 chrono with the DD module doesn't run unless the chronograph is running. It's pretty odd as you would think the dd module would add not remove drag. I am aware that this problem is not unique. Can you explain why?

I didn't know the chrono on 2894 was a dubois depraz module. I thought it was ETA's own module. I was also surprised to see a column wheel on the chronograph. I have a 2894 watch and it's more accurate than some Chronometere certified watches.

Hello Kim, I have assembled the module using the eta tool holding springs. What happens is that after assembling with the 2892 the chronograph is always working, start / stop / reset dont work. Jewels are ok. Any help?

Por lo menos en mis longines especifica que el módulo es eta y suman 48 jewel

Es un 2892-2 cronógrafo eta

De hecho se puede incorporar en el 2824 al igual que el deprar la vedad que son muy similares pero el eta está muy mejorado ya que el dubois depraz traía de cabeza a los relojeros asta tal punto que muchos relojeros cambiaban directamente todo el módulo cronógrafico

Ya no utilizan módulos depraz son eta los módulos depraz se desmonta el módulo entero o sea se separa del reloj para trabajarlo el módulo de longines es eta

El módulo cronógrafo no es dubois depraz es eta . Se sustitullo hace tiempo es casi igual pero si fuese dubois la fecha se queda por debajo del modulo

thank you for the great video! my 2135 got smashed in transit and the post office refused any accountability.so this is my first attempt at watch repair! i have a question if you have time...does the seconds wheel simply lift out? i already removed the hands but it seems stuck.the jewel in the bridge was crushed so i got a new bridge with the jewel already in it

Are you using d5 or grease on keyless works/pinions

I see you don't lubricate the pallet jewel .it is not necessary?

You need some sound. Either talk threw it, over it, or even just the ambient noise of the work you are doing. Its hard to watch that long in complete silence.

Great Video! I am working on one of these movements now and this was very helpful. One question: Can you tell me how you oiled the pallet wheel top jewel? It seems like a capped jewel, but without a way to remove the cap stone (you can see this at about the 8:05 minute mark). Thanks again for the great video.
