RC Boating! Taking Out The Pro Boat Impulse 32 and React 9
Taking out the RC Boats for the first time in a long time. The Impulse 32 hits 60mph on this run and I go over the basics of the fun little React 9 Pro Boat model. "Big and fast" to "fun and little" remote control boating.

I give a quick update on the RC 1/6th Scale Losi Super Baja Rey 2.0 desert racer and then take it out on the new property in some dry dirt. The truck continuously impresses, but I talk about some of the important things to know about it.
SCX6 Trail Honcho Gets a Needed Servo Upgrade!

The standard servo in the SCX6 Trail Honcho seemed to be getting a bit tired, felt a bit underpowered and failed to reach full lock often. I picked up a Spectrum S9120BL High Voltage Metal Gear 1/5th Scale Servo and show the install process I used, followed by some crawling footage with the new servo. Keep Crawling!

Mounting the camera inside the Super Baja Rey 2.0 remote control Baja truck gives a whole new perspective on how many forces and the turbulence experienced by this awesome desert racer. The truck is on 8s power which is capable of speeds over 50mph. Tons of bumps and a flip or two makes this one of my favorite videos.

I love the way this video came together with the onboard camera and a few PIP third person views of crawling. This truck is still one of my favorite trail crawlers to take out with its awesome heft and realistic dynamics.
Making Custom Mud Flaps From Scratch for the Super Baja Rey 2.0

I built some custom mud flaps for the Super Baja Rey 2.0 remote control desert truck. This epic 8s truck gets dirty easily and can be a pain to clean, blocking the front gaps from the body to the cage is a great step to minimize the mess. After the build, I take the truck out and test out the flaps on some dirt.

In this video, I change out the factory soft tire foams to the dual stage Pro-Line brand tire foam on the SCX6 Trail Honcho 1/6th scale RC crawler. The dual stage foams consist of a soft outer foam and a stiff inner core. The install is relatively easy, and the results are good, but it's much more location dependent and a driver preference in the end.

@@gliftongaming756 I have used both my iPhone and a GoPro 9. Just used double sided tape mounts.
Just installed mine today on the same rig that’s all I’ll do to it as far as upgrades, expect moved to dual 4s.
I got my scx6 used, it came with these and super swampers. I'm curious what these foams weigh. I would like the front to be a bit softer so I'm considering a printed insert for the front. Are you still using these foams and still like them?
I still like them, but I honestly haven’t been out much lately. I think they might be stiffer than what you might be looking for, depends if you need good sidewall pressure as well. Been playing with Rc helicopters a bit, but haven’t filmed much.
Planning on getting this, my scx6 is stock so I need to upgrade anything else for this to work fine ?
Pretty plug and play from what I can remember, but you might want to pick up a spektrum programmer to update the bec voltage to take full advantage of the new servo.

I've got a SCX6 Honcho and absolutely love it on the trails. It's awesome to see the suspension working. It's a blast.
Did you try a UBEC with 8.4V to see the max performance?
I bumped up the voltage with a spektrum programmer after this video for a bit more juice. It helped, but wasn’t too life changing for the rig.
The ESC BEC can be bumped up to 7.2V but that could potentially be over voltage for the transmission Servo and the LED kit. Did you have any problems with those electronics when you bumped BEC voltage up?
@@samidkhan2000 using the spektrum programmer it was easy to up bec to 8.4, I had no side effects from doing so. I’m not fully certain how isolated the other systems are but it didn’t seem to change the behavior of anything else.

I think im going to put a sensored 3800kv and hill bomb this rig locking the diffs also it will be here in 2 days i run hill climb competitions and do well with my yeti and ryfts but all around independent will dominate

I recently built an rc dirt track in my yard and have been loving using this on the track. I have found the suspension to be the weak point, the plastic rod ends don’t hold up to abuse, may take some tinkering to get it where you want.

About the battery tray. I have a 1/10 scale Losi dessert racer and it takes a 3S but it fits SUPER snug and the door is super tuff to close it must be a Losi thing
Yeah, this one is a pain. I guess the faster they go the more critical it is to keep the batteries in place, think they are using removable trays more now. The Lasernut I have is easy with Velcro straps, but less confidence that it won’t come flying out.
I think I'd rig up a micro servo to run a switch off a spare channel so you could use the transmitter to on/off the lights. It takes away from the effect and fun if you can remotely operate the lights. Is this possible just by setting on/ off end points with a non RTR 4 channel set up?

I don't like destroying my trucks just to watch them crash...Desert Racing is the best Idea for trucks like these. Sounds like you need to tape and shoe or e6000 your body to stiffen it up. Less flex.

Hey man just bought this boat today and took it to the water today and water wasnt choppy at all and had batteries pushed forward all the way and the boat just bounces and hops and can barley give it throttle, have you had this problem?

When it says to put it through the receiver box, it means that small box to the side of the receiver box. you should thread it through that small hole and then wire it to the receiver. its a very tight fit but if you move the other wires to the side, it'll go in at a weird angle. But, that rubber piece is just in case you needed quick access to hit the button on the receiver so that you could connect a new transmitter/remote. I have the f150 high trail, so I understand the struggles lol

I have the sbr2.0. It’s my favorite rc truck. For 2 years I’ve been adding vitavon parts. Now it’s easy 10 lbs heavier. It’s fun just driving slow watching the weight move.

i run in a lot of sand/mud being from the midwest, so i like the softer conforming foams with the beadlock breather holes sealed off. still soft and rolls the sidewall, but helps a little with stiffening the tire up using air pressure.

Observations, 7:20 truck rolls over on slippery surface. Not suppose to happen, increase rear shock preload.

You can pretty easily DIY screening for the fan that keeps the grass etc. out, but if you haven't already, you should put the receiver in something, it likes to fill up with dirt and gravel too.
Yeah, I screened it quite awhile back and it’s been great. I haven’t messed with the receiver yet though!

Traxxas 8038, I think you could just plug the rock lights into this power block as well, note that this setup doesn’t have any remote/radio switch ability.
@@DustinsAdventure yes that’s fine, I only plan on adding a micro switch in between the ESC and “power block” so I can run no lights on days.
I put the primal rc for the rampage 1/5. The steering is much better I just need the v2 program box so I can put it on 7.4 volts then it be way stronger
