Now questions lol I'm looking at getting a nt11 soon and I use quadlock with wireless power base so I don't need to use usb to charge phone did you first set it up bike to headset then use a USB wire bike to phone to set up the android or was it as simple as plug un usb wireless adapter and bike found it straight away ? And can you display any app on phone as I use calimoto for nav and if I can simply plug in a usb wireless adapter leave on bike then when I clip phone to quadlock it auto connect and it display calimoto on dash 🤔🤔 thanks if any answers

Great vid. Thanks for this connection guide! It’s almost there for my particular setup. My conundrum begins with, instead of the Nav 6, I’ve opted for the BMW Connected Ride Cradle and my iPhone with the BMW Motorrad Connected app for navigation. Given my setup, I’ve followed your instructions and pairings order to the best I can logic out. However, at the very last step when we go into intercom pairing between our 2 helmets, while that connection works and we can hear and talk to each other, we both lose connection with the motorcycle. In your second step, you pair the helmet to the Nav 6 via the “2nd Mobile Phone Pairing” menu setting of the helmet. Is this then where I should pair with my iPhone instead as I don’t have the Nav6? Cheers!

I have connected ride navigator and paired rider and passenger intercoms (both of them are Sena). But I can't talk to passengers. Will we connect helmets as intercom pairing after connecting to the navigator?

Hi thanks for el video, I have a query. Can I use this new connect rider only as a gps? And still use TFT to handle music? I like being able to see the road in the gps (like I did in the old navigator 6) and have the music, calls and so on be used by the tft? I like the fact that I can change the song just by moving the wheel and being able to lower and increase the volume also just by moving the wheel, if I use this new connect rider, I would have to leave the map, go to the music section and change the song, and then, return to the map, I don't know if I understand? Really great video. Doesn't answer my questions, but gets me pointed in the right direction. I am using the connected ride cradle with my android smartphone. I am also using the Schuberth Siena SC2. My take away is that depends on what pairs with what first, and what I enable each device to do. Currently my phone is at the center of everything and the TFT bluetooth seems to interfere/override everything else. Anyway, thank you.

When you plug in the CRN to the bike, it transfers all connection ability to the CRN. The TFT is no longer used. You connect to the CRN, not the TFT.

Thanks for this video. With this set up, are you controlling the volume with the waggle wheel (Eg phone volume during a call, music volume during playback) or are you having to control volume using the sena srl?

Very informative, a lot of time spent trying to sort this out. Mine is going on the market tomorrow I just cannot spend any more time trying to link and connect things to it.

Hello, nice review though seems your still a bit unresolved. Any update since initial posting ? I’ve really seen very few reviews and all seem to be somewhat skeptical for the price.

It needs a sim card because rich people (not you Dragon) buy a mobile plan for every device they own.

I brought mine back to the BMW dealer and was refunded. It does not accept gpx files from other navigation apps, tells me they are not supported, audio streaming is mono, no option for recalculation routes. Waste of money.

Great explanation on the cradle,I've seen a similar cradle on Amazon for £36, looks the same, probably not as well made, but for the money is BMW cradle worth it,in your opinion?

Great video, really helpful and clear to understand. Quick question - does this effectively remove the need for the Sena App on your phone as everything is being controlled via bikes TFT? Using the Sena app would require pairing phone direct to helmet, thus screwing up the settings in the video? Do I have that correct? Many thanks 😀

As of 1st Feb there is another update v1.0.2 has been released. Having struggled for 12 months with the NAV VI both in terms of connectivity and route following I really hope the CRN overcomes these. So far connectivity between phone and Cardo Packtalk Bold have been excellent. Up loading routes via phone Connected App is simple. Proof will be following imported routes and how well that works. Have uploaded some routes from RouteYou so if weather ok at weekend will do some test runs. Fingers crossed but on the techs side, with CRN updates installed first impressions are good

Just an update. Thank you it works, sort of. I’m not sure jogging wheel is doing its job for volume. That being said it’s possibly because bike was already at 100% volume and phone was hooked up at low volume. Thank you so much though. Slow process but done!!.

I'll report back, but my F900xr with Nav 6 and iphone 13 and schuberth c5 with sc2 should work with this setup too. Thank you so much for showing how it's done. I tried someone else's way, less steps, and just did not work. I went back in frustration to only connected to Nav 6, just not as convenient as how you have it correctly.

I think it’s a terrible sat nav. Used it a couple of times but can’t seem to put an exact address into it. Just a road and postcode, not the extact house number…… or am I doing something wrong..

When my CRN is turn on, with phone & sena connected my tft losses time is this a fault with the CRN? Also if I use my phone as a personal hotspot is that as good as getting another SIM card? Thanks

I have this little widget in my car, works really well, but on long journeys I find the phone does use a lot of battery when using navigation. So you may well still need to use a wire when touring. 👍

Sorry to hear about the XR m8. I’m seriously considering the NT1100, thinking about a dct (and yes 100% you can buy foot control for it). But with cost in mind, I may well go for the manual with quick shifter, if I could afford it, I’d go dct. 👍

How do you get the unit to warn you about Speed Cameras and the like.

Seems rushed to market, I'm assuming to make it for holiday buying season. Have a BMW Nav VI. So many issues with the touch display. When I contacted Garmin, they said they were out of replacements but I could be put on a waiting list. Screw that, so then I got the BMW Connected Ride Cradle. So many issues syncing, or once synced and then the bike is shut on/off many times a day (I commute on my bike), the sync time gets longer and longer. Then the bike doesn't see the cradle. Disconnected, had everything "forget" everything else & started things over (2x), even factory reset my phone. Saw the news of the CRN. Initially interested, until I saw it was running what looked like an only slightly modified version of the Connected Ride app UI. I've used that app nearly every day and after experiencing how bare-bones it remains even after a year of my use, I wasn't expecting much. When I saw how much it cost, I just laughed. Screw that, so then I got a Garmin Zumo XT2 w/a custom mount to lock it into the BMW nav mount. No issues. Does way more than the Nav VI, Connected Ride Cradle & App, or CRN do. Battery doesn't discharge overnight; vastly superior GPX and track handling, recommended rides overlays, speed zone warnings, red light warnings, satellite view, group ride tracking, etc. Yeah, I lost use of the Wonderwheel but I got over it.

Why can’t they have satellite imagery for the maps like on google maps

How do you get turn by turn instructions and time to destination ( in time and distance ) on the phone while using it as a gps ? I can use the app as a sat nav but it doesn’t show any trip info
