There are wild bettas in the streams in Singapore when I was growing up. We used to catch them, these fish don’t move much in the wild. They are always hiding in their chosen spots. In my opinion, you can definitely keep one in a 6 aquarium. They also don’t like fast moving waters.

I am not a perfect fish keeper nor am I a hardcore beta person but imo I’d say 5 gallon min for most people. Obvs you can get away with smaller if you know what you’re doing but what do I know ? 😂
