Great job getting your Asian Arrowana back. I have seen the “Tanning Lights” at my LFS, just wondering, what the purpose of doing thats I know you say you don’t do that, but why Tan?
Why do people tan? It essentially makes the colours come out by burning the scales of the fish. Although it doesn’t hurt the fish if done correct, there can be complications though for sure.
You can always be on the look out for someone letting go of theirs privately. If you also have the right home for one, you’d be surprised how much people care about their fish. It’s NOT ALWAYS price. Good home means more than anything
Did you remove the albino aro because they were fighting? I can only imagine how much that fish was and wondering why you didn’t buy a young one and raise it up yourself?
Yep! Not fighting, but about to. I explain more in a future video. Also, getting a baby and raising it up myself is always an option and was the plan - however due to the beauty, rarity etc of this beautiful girl, I couldn't say no. She is a 1 of 1
I had 2 silvers aros but 1 was the dominant one and they ended up killing the other one. I was told that you need 3 to keep the aggression down. I just wished the Arowanas were a bit more affordable. Markham aquarium usually has sales for Boxing Day,
Red arowanas and its derivative variations are quite prevalent here in Asia, it's not uncommon for hobbyist that's really into monster fishes to have them... But they're really expensive even in Asia, they start at around 800 dollars equivalent (that's quite a lot of money for most developing nations in Asia) for a juvenile size and can reach more than 2k equivalent dollars for an adult whose already tanned.
If it’s just one? Absolutely not. I’ll explain why.. The larger the aquarium for one Asian arowana only is known to actually result in hunger strikes, jumping and flashing. Numerous arowana in one tank then yes, they need some very large aquariums. However, breeding has been most successful when two Asian Arowana are thrown into a very small aquarium and they breed with most success. There are pros and cons to everything. Without captive breeding and countries like canada being able to own them - they’d be toast. They need us more than we need them.
@@aquarium.talktv i have seen huge ponds that had asian arowanna and they were very healthy. If for some reason they go into a hunger strike in captivity then imo we should ask ourselves if its the right fish to keep. In my country this size aquarium for an asian arowanna is actually illegal. I know its a sensitive topic but for me this is not it.
I think your education is just incorrect in regards to Asian Arowana. I hate to say it and I mean it in the nicest way possible. I’m here to educate as much as I can. I’ll be making more videos and your input has made me want to research more. Hunger strikes happen in 25,000 gallon ponds as well. If it wasn’t for captive breeding this fish would have been extinct a very long time ago. They are now also repopulation Asian Arowana and releasing back into their native habitat. Again - my job is to educate and I do have a passion in educating the hobby. I do appreciate your support though and input. It’s extremely valued.
You should definitely tan her she has no color at all plus it can also be a learning experience for us aswell on how to tan Arowana considering their isn’t many videos of tanning fish
@@aquarium.talktv thatll work well too.. no rush.. eventually it will turn more red with soft tanning light.. if you can find light with uva and uvb rays, thats even better.. keep us updated! ✌️
Great video! It’s so good to see her in her new home. She looks really stable and liking it in your tank. If you should tan her with T4 and T5 lights, I would say no more than 2 hours per day. As we have discussed before, she may run the risk of getting cataract in her eyes.
Great job daddy! Love you 😊
Love you too bud. Thanks my boy
Great video man. Well made and good info!
Thanks Troy, I appreciate that.
OH MA DAYUM!! Awesome video G so happy for you… and a freakin HUGE S/O to Laurance the gate keeper to some beautiful fish! 🤙🏽🙏🏽🤙🏽
Braddah!! Thank you bro. I appreciate the love.
What were the tank dimension madam red was kept in at Lawrence’s house? And what are the tank dimensions at your house? Looks like a solid upgrade!
I’m not 100% on Laurance’s dimensions… I think it was a 210 or 220. This is a 335 gallon that she’s in now. So yes, she got an upgrade.
@@aquarium.talktv nice! But what are the dimensions Lxbxh? I’m asking this cause I’m about to build an acrylic one.
Little over 6 ft long. 3 ft front to bad. 2 1/2 high. Give or take. It’s a custom aquarium
So Beautiful! You look so happy
Thank you so much! I appreciate the love and support
WOW! What a specimen. Love how passionate you are about this fish, and the proper care for her.
Thanks man, I appreciate you.
🗣️amazing

Hey!! Thanks for watching. I appreciate the support. Hello from Canada
Awesome buy bro… she’s a forever keeper!!
Thank you man!!! I appreciate it
I love the video! beautiful fish. What is the tank size you are keeping her in? Absolutely stunning display
335 gallons
Great video 💯
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
This is an amazing fish i was wondering where i saw it before and realized he posteded it on an arowana group😂
Yessir!!
Found this channel! What size is that tank? Is it her long term home?
For the arowana, yes. It’s a 335 gallon aquarium. For the rays, no. The female will get monstrous.
Also - glad you found the channel! Welcome!
Stunning fish 🔥
Thanks Deedee!
Amazing bro! She's beautiful!😍
Thanks Dallas I appreciate you dude
She is stunning. I definitely have to come visit one day to see your tanks in person
100%. Thanks brother. Anytime

Is she as big as Joey’s
I think she’s wider as she’s a female. Joeys is longer
do you think is possible to change my steakhouse wood wall to a full aquarium?
Wow, that arrow is so clean. Congrats.
Thank you dude!! I appreciate it!
Wow 🤩 that’s a amazing Arowana im really happy you ended up getting her she’s beautiful 👍
Thanks I appreciate you! I appreciate the support as well
If I wasn't in the states..... 😂. Beautiful fish!
Thank you!! I appreciate the support
How many tanks do u have
6 currently. I’ll be doing a full tour of all of my aquariums soon.
That’s cool of that guy to sell something so awesome! Now one day you can’t say no 😆
100% man! I appreciate you Frank
Absolutely gorgeous brother 🤯
Thank you Shamar
Madam Red is stunning 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you Nikki!!

@@aquarium.talktv yes sir I do care for all my fish. I don't think I can have one of those in Texas. I have a beautiful silver arowana.
Silvers are great!!

Check out auspicious aquarium in Markham. Tell Michael the owner I sent you. He will give you a discount on fish.
Thanks, hopefully he has some good deals there for Christmas time!!!!!!

They are expensive here too in canada. They can go well above 50k here
Sooooooooo....... There going to joey lol
The bass and albino arowana? Nope.
Are they going in the queen's cove lol 😂
😂😂😂😂
In the Philippines super red arowAna cost 600 dollars 🇺🇸
Depends on the farm. Garbage farms - cheap fish. It’s all about the farm the fish comes from
Nice. But the tank looks small for the fish.
Thanks for tuning in!! I really appreciate it
Will you breed her or is She Just a Show Piece? She Beautiful
Just a show piece. No intentions of breeding her unless I can find a true Feng Shui Super Red Male. Plus a larger aquarium 😂
A fish like this belongs into a huge aquarium or a pond aquarium.
If it’s just one? Absolutely not. I’ll explain why..

She has a lot of colour. She was just moved at the time.
That aquarium has such huge animals. I would think it would be a big biological load on it. How do you biologically filter all that?
put her in a full white tank or white/blue surrounding. then start her tanning programme..
No real tanning going on for her. Just some soft tanning.

He couldn’t hug the fish so he hugged the new owner 😎
Yeah he went to a good home. Laurance will be doing great things with his breeding operation.

100%. I don’t plan on tanning her at all to be honest.. just keeping her lovely 😊 you’re the best Laurance. Thank you so much.
@@LauranceTanza I ran my arowana 10 hours a day with 4 t5 bulbs and it’s doing fine
That’s a lot lol 😂
@@l7qenbi29If you wouldn’t stare into a t4-5 light without blinking for 10 hours a day, why would you want to do that to your precious fish?
