Dream track ROCK HILL #1
Where that track at?! It's a DAMN Work OF ART!!!!! 💕
It's located in Isanti Minnesota! It's the best indoor in the country if you ask us. Definitely worth the trip if you can make it out.
Reduce rotational weight. RideNow tubes, Ti spokes, Carbon wheels 🏆
Bad azz bike
Cut out the piano
Ok .you are a tall guy so why you have the set downt ?
Are you asking about the seat? In bmx racing we all run the seat as low as possible so that it's out of the way when we ride the track. BMX racers never sit on the seat when riding, so it's really only there for when we are off the track resting on the bike. In all reality, we don't even need the seat at all.
Good video, thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
Race may be alien, and Jonnie a scientist..Race was spoking the meter. j/k, great news the inseam charts prove what you found in the data vs feelings/ thoughts about what is a better length. now my next question is what's faster 54 or 56 gear ratio at race speed vs start.
You bring up an interesting point with gear ratios as that's a topic we have a for an upcoming video! 56 is quite heavy as it seems with the age of clip pedals, most racers are staying around 53-54 (every now and then we see a low 55, but 56 is very large for today's standards) of course that's personal opinion tho so take it with a grain of salt 😁
@@FullTiltBikeCo looking forward to your findings. Based on your data here Jonnie puts up apex-means 35mph with a 54.x on 180, and 33mph with 54.x on 170 at race speed and .05 slower off the line on 170. The time he maxes out apex was quicker too. Jonnie rocking a 55 or 56 on 180 compared to 54… will go faster as long as someone is yelling pedal!!! Lol
Aryan white man in the year 2050
That's quite the interesting take, what a cryptic response 😂
Replacing rubber tubes with tubolito or similar synthetic tube drops rotational weight.
Pedal!
who could forget!
Loose 30 lbs of fat.
@@AdamOravetz yeah, everyone wants to sacrifice money, and strength for weight on the bike. Dude you ever think, holy crap, I'm part of the bike, maybe I can lighten my self up for free! Weight only matters if your too weak to pedal or life the bike, but all the cheaters use clips so they don't even need to lift the bike or pedal hard lol..
i like to make sure chain and back wheel are straight
I would say dropping rotational weight like lighter tyres tubes and rims and cranks
I’ve heard that yelling “pedal” helps people go faster
Yes, we even backed this claim with scientific data 😂
I still run 180mm 1 piece cranks- i never could afford 3 piece growing up- and i'm still fast enough- just fatter and 50. Bmx still rules
Check driver drag: push bike along the ground - if the cranks turn there is probably resistance at the hub driver. Lightly grease the o-ring (Profile) and/or lightly oil the pawls and ratchet surface.
Excellent video! 👍
Thank you very much!
Check bb every race meet
Also checking hubs to be sure u don't have a bad bearing which is causing drag. That bad can also be a major speed killer.
I don't trust a man in lady's sized shorts and a golf shirt.
This is peak corporate attire 😂
@@FullTiltBikeCo now I see why they made metal mulisha 🤣 bmx shouldnt be corporate... That's what Lance Armstrong type cycling is for. BMX is the degenerates who wanna ride kids bikes and have fun. Not play by the rules of a virgin mountain bike with gears and 26 inch wheels, Cause " it's better on my knees " . C'mon mayne, go to the golf green or tour de France with that crap. It's prolly dudes wearing cloths like that that made a BMX race bike go from 1,000 ( for a pretty legit one in 2011 ) to 3,500 dollars .. same fking parts... It's sick! Dirt bikes are now the same price as a BMX. Thanks corporate golf shirt dudes who wear ladies clothing and shave legs. I'm gonna take BMX back. You should put polo shirts on the parts in your shop at rum river. It would look real legit and corporate. Maybe teach the kids about being trans next too! 😂 And corporate, full tilts operating in hanger basically, you guys aren't even on the radar, but dress like golfing sales women... I miss mikes bikes and rehbeins.. dammit corporate fkkkers takin all my good stuff! Lol I'm just messing around, truthful but no hate, respect what you do, your videos are pretty insightful and still teach me things. I mean disc brakes are for man lovers but that's okay, I'm learning still 😂 dam,, I need a life.. ahahahaaaaa sheeeeet
RACER RICK!!!
He's back!
Longer crank arms give you more leverage along with the gear of your choice that you feel most comfortable with. So in my opinion depending on how long your legs are will determine what size you should use. You don't want your hips to rock while pedaling. 175 is the perfect size for me!
stoke!! pretty sure tbt is for Thursday tho haha
Easy stuff
Those short wheelies were clean
Never did a wheelie, it’s called a manual
Its so weird how stupid our bikes were when I was growing up. Keeping the seatpost damn near bar height got me smacked in the chin a few times sucking up rollers
Yes it's crazy how much things change! Like even bike pads, as you just mentioned, they were actually needed back in the day. I can't imagine what people would say nowadays if you showed up with a carbon race frame and bike pads hahaha
Can we see more complete bike reviews and do comparisons videos. Especially with improvements being made by the manufacturers from year to year. Complete bike reviews were mentioned on the Chase edge vid but I didn’t see any more after that.
Noted and thanks for the feedback, we'll add that one to the list!
Nice dude is fast as hell 😮
Running the react in the back and x in the front, im no pro but it feels great out the gate and have never had any issues carving corners. Great tires!
haha 😂 great vid. you fellas keep having fun. when is the release year on this frame?
what a sick edit!!
I used the RX8 for a few years. Have now changed to the xc702. While they supposedly have a softer sole, they don't feel softer and the design of the upper has way less flex so there is better power transfer IMO. They are also easier to clip in, and walk in than the RX8 (which IS a good shoe). I haven't bothered with the 902 because they are double the price, heavier, and also objectively I can't see the extra one level of stiffness being worth it, and tests i've seen also show the difference is minimal at best. I think if you guys want to really do a meaningful test, you need to do timed runs out of the gate to the 30ft line, and also first straights.🙂
The xc702s have definitely risen in popularity lately and are another great option! And you're right about the testing, we may have to revisit this topic some day to hit some proper scientific numbers! But for this video we wanted to focus more on general ride feel.
do more of these!
Nice
You should do a give away with the 903s to all your subscribers.
very nice very nice, i just made the upgrade from xc702s to xc902s after downgrading from rx8s, so we'll see how that goes
You guys should make a video about the best frames
Frrr
Hey Race, hey Jonnie, I think you guys should make a video about all the best frames? I love your video’s!!

Can’t u take the clip off on one side to run as flats
You can't take one side off because the other side would be missing one piece of the clip pedal mechanism.
You guys should weigh 72 spokes stainless vs butted vs Ti to see the actual weight diff. I know there are other factors like different spoke lengths depending on hub/rim specs but it would be cool to see for reference.
SLIPKNOT!!!!

Race is the best!
Your videos are always fun. Keep them coming. Glad to know that Sean Day was not hurt, that was a bad crash.
Fantastic BMX parts video full of necessary facts and good advice applying said facts. Every time I watch a Full Tilt video I feel like the BMX racing is in good hands.
175s all the way.
