Description: In 1935, a Mongol Prime Minister stood up to Joseph Stalin like no other politician, slapping him across the face.
Who was the brave man who faced Stalin? Why did he did he slap the absolute ruler of the Soviet Union? And finally, what was the context behind the interaction?
Genden Peljidiin was a Mongolian communist politician who rose to prominence during the anarchic era of Mongolia during the 1920s. He was born sometime between 1892 and 1895 in what was then a part of Qing China, in modern-day Mongolia.

    King Abgar 5 descended from the Armenian Arsacid dynasty (from 12 to 428 AC), was the son of Arsham Arshakuni, the nephew of Tigranes the Great. His name was "Avag Ayr". Assyrians and Greeks couldnot pronounce his Armenian name so they called him Abgar. Look up Movses of Khorenatsi...there is ancient Armenian manuscripts to back this up...Edessia was part of Armenian Kingdom in Anatolia!!!!!There were several peoples living under his authority. But the king was of Armenian descent🇦🇲🙏✝️

    Travelers continued to stop by Goodsprings and with more trade along I-15 after the NCR took control of it. The Brotherhood would patrol Goodsprings and other settlements in agreement with the NCR keeping remaining legionaries from establishing a new outpost within the mist. With New Vegas' independence formally declared in agreement with both the NCR and Brotherhood. More travelers would stop by Goodsprings on their way to and from the Strip, and the locals grew prosperous from the traffic.

    Offa & Charlamagne were among the most successful Germanic barbarian Kings to inherent the Western Roman Empire. Maybe throw in Theodoric the Great in there also. They were draped in a lot of the Roman pageantry while aware of the presence of Constantinople in the east. Always a fascinating time period of Europe! Well done sir!

    Ive always found it interesting and tragic that Alexander the Great,Caesar & Napoleon all had historically recognized sons that died as young boys,teenagers or young adults. Why did the army not flock around Alexander's son with Roxana? Is confusing! Maybe because she was not Macedonian? Man the Helenistic royal dynastic houses were brutal! No wonder Romans despised kings! Well done sir!

    They forgot about Pavel. Ruler of the Soissons region in 464-469

    • @abandonedhistoryUS
      @abandonedhistoryUS 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I assume your referring to “Paul”. I chose not to include him for a number of reasons. First the only knowledge of him comes from a very brief mention by Gregory of Tours. It doesn’t title him as a king but does suggest he is a leader of a kind. There are also suspicions that Gregory of Tours took from the work of an earlier, likely propagandist chronicle, so the veracity is up in the air. Finally, there is an ongoing historical debate to his role and existence with historians being split, some think he was a leader in the same vein of Aegidius others think we was more of a lieutenant or far more local leader. I am squarely of that second camp, I think Paul was likely an influential warlord but he was not a “King of Soissons” in the same sense Syagrius was. That’s just my opinion and explanation of why I didn’t include, you are free to disagree but thanks for taking the time to comment.

    The Abgrid monarchy were not Nabatean. They were known as Arabs, but that was derogatory. Arab can mean 'locust', which is why the Abgrids were called locusts in the Talmud and Acts of the Apostles. These monarchs were considered (by their detractors) to be the equivalent of the locusts in the biblical Plagues. This monarchy actually came from Parthia - they were the Babylonian Jews, as described by Josephus. The Talmud concurs, calling them proselyte Jews. They started the Jewish Revolt, according to Josephus, which is why they were disliked, and why they were deleted from history. R

    • @abandonedhistoryUS
      @abandonedhistoryUS 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      While I respect your confidence the sources I have don’t corroborate this version of events. According to current scholarship the Abgrids were of a Nabatean Arab background. Yes they came from Parthia right before their Kingship over Osroene, but families do have the ability to move around. Movement from Arabia into Parthia was not uncommon at this time. No reliable sources I am aware of make the claim they were Jewish and if they were they ceased practicing their religion immediately. Some sources have claimed Armenian heritage but there is little to no linguistic support for this. Using linguistics of regnal names, instead of using the Talmud (which is kind of an odd choice in this context), it is evident that their rulers had a Nabatean origin.
