You can do a radio transmission and if you want you can script a system that drops a trigger zone (using moose or something) at the location of ejection and run a radio transmission on CSAR frequency :) just a thought…. And cuz it’s a trigger zone, it won’t buzz everyone else unless you on frequency and inside the zone. Just a thought ^^
@@SgtDevRupesh_ALT yep, that’s the way I do it for my missions. I was just showing a simpler example here. It just passes the position of the ejection and the radio trigger the emits from that location in space.

The radio effects actually does sound like that, not sure what kind of radios you used, but when I was in, That's exactly what you got.
@@rwhunt99 the biggest gripe I have about the radios in-game right now is the degradation effect is way over done. It seems ED is looking into it now.

Don’t know if it’s new but I now noticed a IR pointer being used by the JTAC on certain PVE servers. So no more guessing which smoke belongs to the new designated target.
It is about damn time the SAM sites had a self preservation update.
The SAM site will turn it's radar on/off based on it's skill level. The lowest will not do anything, the highest will try and spoof the incoming. That's according to ED patch notes. Also, in my sim the new Abrams SEP is bugged. The driver view is under the tank. I can't change it regardless what I try. Not sure if it's just my rig or if it's a glitch on all.

Maybe it's just me but is the heat blur effect updated too?
The default evasion of ARM is the best thing, it will change all of the my existing missions without the hassle of IADS. The other great improvement is the spotting. Well done ED.

Excellent summary! I’m not a fan of the #hawktuah effect forced onto voice over radio transmissions either, like you, I’ve always added my own, and I can’t and won’t go back and redo tens of thousands of voice files :(

Did you do any of the Afghanistan instant missions??
Not Instant Action, but you can find them under the regular F-15C, F-16 and F-18. They're all the same, just a simple BFM mission.

I think I'm going to finally grab MSFS when 2024 comes out. I've always had trouble getting into MSFS, since it's hard to carve out the time for longer flights, compared to the short self-created missions I have in DCS. But flying regional flights, especially if Majestic ever gets their Dash 8 put out should be a blast. Helicopters look like they'll have a lot more to work with too.
I hear ya. My system right now is just about the mic spec with 2020. I don’t know how well it would run 2024.
@@sedlo I was fortunate to finally upgrade my 10 year old computer that was starting to struggle, but something's been going on with it where it's been having some crashes, with DCS especially, over the past month or two. So I'm frantically working with their tech support to try and sort out what's going on with it so I can get back into consistently flying in DCS and then dabble in MSFS.

Yep, add this: and event.initiator:getCoalition() == 2 --1 = red --2 = blue --0 = neutral

Well, it’s not really. But there is an event handler for ejections that you can use to create one.
If you set it to loop in the last example, you could locate the ELT position?
You could if you have DF capability. It would be up in the air, but for simple DF it should work. (F-4E can DF UHF ;-) )
@@sedlo How would you get the Pilot to pop smoke when you're close enough? Say 2 KM?
@@30K_ACTUAL well, some very fancy scripting would be involved. Likely with the help of MIST of MOOSE. I think MOOSE had some sort of RESCUE or SAR class you can work with, but I’ve never used it.

@@30K_ACTUAL Hmm.. just thinking about it. You can get the location of where the ejection takes place and then have that location and find the actual ground elevation, you could pop smoke directly behind. It wouldn't account for wind drift, but it could work.
