don't really see an issue with his attitude, it was a dumb question and the reporter seemed antagonistic
The reporter was trying to get a reaction it wasn't a question to get the answer on. Your take hit it on the head. Media reporters in Vancouver have to some of the most ridiculous on the planet.
@@timw4369 It's really mainly Jeff Patterson (the reporter asking the question, he has a unique voice) and he tends to ask these types of questions.... He was actually denied a media pass to the Canucks a few years back during the pandemic as well.

Hronek can't expect $8 million per year. The potential dollars in his bank account of the next contract should have made him bust his butt all season. So can't figure it out Filip? Great, enjoy the lesser fruits of free agency compared to what you could have got.

He's an RFA, we can't afford to bring everyone back... maybe we trade him for future pieces/picks and that'll give us room to keep Lindholm, Big Z, Myers, Joshua and Blueger. Hronek did play a good season for us though, overall.
Tom Willander will take his spot in the future. He can be replaced with a cheaper version...Truly wish we had Ethan Bear right now.

I think he's pissy because these media idiots ask the stupidest, most obvious questions. It has to be frustrating for these guys.
"How did you feel when you scored the winning goal"? "Did you feel bad when your 100 mile per hour shot hit your teammate in the face and shattered all of his teeth"?
There has to be a course in Broadcast Journalism school called "How Did It Feel? - 101". I expect Hronek's prep for the second half was much like the first but the results will vary.
Reporter to Wayne Gretzky: "You had 266 games without a goal in your career. That's like 4 seasons without a goal. Should we call you "The Not Great All The Time One" and should you return the salary for those games to the local reporters?

Ya when u want 8M a year you better have some damn answers or explanations when you don’t perform. This guy knows he’s being called for for his asking price based on his second half and playoff performance and is pissed that he won’t get what he could have, had he performed. Ya inflations crazy but 8M is still A LOT of money. Any team that pays you that is screwed.

@@cheguevara8410 I’m a massive Canuck fan. Petterson played horrible after he signed his first contract years ago… it took him months to back in form. It’s a confidence and mental thing with him not tendinitis.

The reporter's questions were fine. It's not like he was asking irrelevant questions about Hronek's personal life. When you're a pro athlete, part of your job is answering media questions about your performance (or in Hronek's case, the lack of it in the second half of the season and playoffs).
And Hronek answered his questions, the question should be why was the reporter so a goof.
